Yes, it's time to highlight the men in our lives. The wonderful husbands and fabulous fathers. The den has been prowling around craft spaces looking for the perfect papers, images, stamps and sentiments to show our leading men just how special they are to us.
Before, I share my card, I just need to make sure you all came here from Michelle's blog. If not, please start at the beginning with Elsa and go in order. We don't want you to miss out on some awesome cards that are sure to impress and serve as inspiration. If you are in the right place. Perfect!!
Now, about my card. I pounced right over to my favorite guy line of paper which is the "Proper Gentlemen" by Graphic 45. The paper is so beautiful and speaks volumes all on its own. Which is great for me, because on a guy card, I was a bit hesistant to add lace, flowers, pearls, and all the other girly embellishment I tend to use. This card however, is very understated, classy, and of course masculine. I think hubby will love it. I didn't embellish it much. Just a faux metal frame that I will later add hubby's photo, and black ribbon. I do intend to put a button on it in the lower right corner of the sentiment stamp, but none of the buttons I had in my stash would do. So I will be going on the prowl for the perfect button to finish off the card. The sentiment on the outside of the card reads: " A father is someone who listens with his heart, speaks with his hugs, and teaches not by words but by example" Unknown author. I thought that was the perfect sentiment.
On the inside I stamped the words "Happy Father's Day" sideways to match the orientation on the cover. Plus it allows more room to write a personal message to my hubby.
Above is a video for your pleasure. Now hop on over to Yvette's channel to see what she has created for Father's Day.
