i did not go to school today, not that because its new year eve or a self declared holiday or i need to stay at home to do project. but it all rounds up to the stupidest reason ever which is that my alarm didn't sound. -.- by the time i woke up its already half way thru f&e tutorial, yes, TUTORIAL. sadly, my favourite lecturer/tutor will now sterotype me as the rest who didn't go for his tut for the above reasons. i was so ready for school today :(

was thinking of which word to title my post. well, which? uh okay, its doesnt matter anyway. i was searching high and low for a prettier blogskin cos i think my current one is a reason in the lack of tags. anyway, on a super happy note, my screen suddenly turn back to white after like a thousand years in yellow! oh, IM REALLY HAPPY NOW :D

before i continue,

okay, and so, wednesday was onelove lunch with 3 other friends of onelove. kenny failed to join us cos my poor boy was sick to wake up early. lunch was at oh-so-boring koufuderation and 8 out of 9 people had ban mian. but we had hell lots of fun squeezing 9 people to 4 umbrellas, squeezing on the same small table.

on the way back to TAS, it was still (and even heavier) raining cats and dogs and monkeys and spiders. as i was wearing long pants, i stopped by a bench and told them i need to fold up my pants so that won't wet lah. at this moment, boon who was standing right beside me, said he needs to fold up his "pants" toooooo. but, he was wearing berms and hardly touches his knee! AND THE THING IS, HE IS SERIOUS! krissy, kim, psuan, ahmeng and i was laughing until we can't move please. then suddenly, all of onelove folded their bottoms too, be it jeans or berms. okay, we're practising onelove. (:

had a finally a little surprise surprise for krissy like 5487163269844526 days after her birthday. well, we went ahead with onelove dinner at night. too bad this time round poor kim can't join us. :( after my project meeting at six, we were boxed out of sentosa and headed for dinner. after spending alot alot of time trying to decide where to eat, we headed to steamboat at marina south. and so, onelove dinner = steamboat. we had lots of fun too. soup for washing, psuan frowning all the way, chef dwayne cooking for the whole world, ahmeng's obsession with prawns, kenny bisected the crabs, krissy and her ever small appetite, chef dwayne shaky hands, socker's stony night, kenny enjoyed his crabs, and psuan didn't..





after dinner was supposed-to-be pre roadtrip's roadtrip. but it turned out to be roadtrip cos we keep getting lost and going the long way. uh, afterall, it was a damn-fun night out. details spared, cos i suddenly became very lazy. -.-

kim, no worries, next trip will definitely involve you. you were greatly missed, and mentioned for the entire night. we wanted to pay for a seat for you at steamboat too. HAHAHA!

i had a bad day of culi on thursday. brain dead, no focus, many mistakes, i bet i got a lousy grade for assessment :( well, with high expectations comes greater disappointment. i'm sorry to the chefs that i didn't perform well on my last week in pastry kitchen. afterall, its only my third week there, how much can i give? im human too right? i will make mistakes too right? i get confused by things too right? i was so upset with myself that i teared while doing stewarding. but i fought back the rest cos i was still in the kitchen, being the commis chef. okay, enough of rantings, toptable, here i come.

anyhow how, thursday's class had their culinary proficiency test today! and yes, CULI WAS FUN FUN! uhm, if you can't recall, late thursday was deepavali and we didn't have culi class, means today was our main course demo. BUT, we are able to do the test today cos WE ARE GOOD! hahahahaha, okay trying boosting the morale of my class only. but really lah, we did well. (:

25th Singapore River Regatta
great experience, great effort. thank you guys for giving me a chance to row in the team, for a dream come true. (:

its only the third week and projects are like siao already. adding on to the s3 work that im doing, im going so CRAZY! but never mind, i must let all of you know that, my class is so fun! i like my class lah, everyone is so funny and high. okay uh, most of them. but still, i kind of look forward to school everyday now. HAHAHAH im sure qiany must be thinking of asking me to stop saying how good TAS is. aiyah, she jst misses her eye candy lah. :P

having fun with gen, nicole and xue er. but in the meantime, i miss people like psuan, boon, kimberly, krissy, kenny they all. being not in the same lecture grp is sad sad too. and i only see them like twice a week! so little can. soon i may just forget how they look like :(

honestly, im very scared. first time joining regatta you know! but we gonna do our best. i want to go into the grand finals you know, i don't want my/our 9weeks/10 trgs to go to waste. urgh, okay im really very scared.

CULINARY TODAY!
okay, yes i must say that culinary is really fun & all. although i went there with a heavy heart, i was quite participative because my class was super quiet, except for random comments by Chef Ron. wonder who he is? yeah, go find out yourself. anyho, cooking was fun okay! i was the first to finish the knife skills tray, cream of carrot & bechamel sauce. but one of the last to clear my station.. anyway again, MY BECHAMEL SAUCE IS DAMN TASTY OKAY! and its damn pretty toooooo :D that made my day. okay, cleaning up was a disaster, thanks to xue er (duno if she will kill me when she sees this), not only she's slow, but she alone used 4 soup bowls out of the 8 for 4 of us to share. okay stop complaining, im going to change partner next lesson already :(

okay, im really sleepy and there's still school tmr. like usually after ssm, which is on fridays, i'll just either go out play then chiong home sleep, or just chiong home and sleep. but now i can't! after a long day at TCA, i still have school the next day at 10am at TAS.

okay, i cannot imagine how packed i am, and the things was done, and has to be done on my to-do-list. my to-do-list is like everywhere lah, cos i always forget things so i just write down on any paper i see, and write on it. however, at least my stuff i have are all happening at this time, where school work is not so heavy yet. so its school, stjohn and regatta.

okay back to school. actually im quite irritated by the way we behave/are behaving in school. its like now we're all in TAS, i mean ALL HTM students, then we must be peace peace one love what. but then its like everywhere i/we go, everyone has something to comment about everyone else. i mean in a bad way.. isn't it fellow HTM-rians. but why?! its sad sad you know :( uhm, and even i myself is doing such horrible thing. OMG.

okay NCO Course theory phase is in 2 weeks. YEAH 2 WEEKS! can you believe that? but luckily im left with some little things to touch up only, excluding Route March & Camera In Action. okay, honestly i don't think im really prepared for the course cos the time im given is really crap little. and with my forever-procrastinating-mood, progress is really damn slow. but well, as an officer, the responsibility should overpower any other distractions. if only my department will think the same way, things would be much better in control..

regatta,
after my failed attempt to join tpdb this year, i thought i would just remain as a dragonboat-watcher/fan from that day onwards, not to say participating as a rower in dragonboat festival, river regatta etc. but now, not only i picked up the sport, im actually representing somewhere to participate in River Regatta 2007! how cool can that be. last year, i went to watch River Regatta with Krissy despite the DAMN HEAVY downpour to support the sport and some friends. never would i imagine that one day im actually competing. this shows how unpredictable life can be. (: any-oh-how, River Regatta is this saturday at Singapore River. hope to see you guys there to support the sport, and me! it will may rain, so bring windbreaker/umbrella/poncho whatever.

is my title for my post today, but its so not related to what i want to blog about. cos school was just so fun. (:

tuesday was 2 lectures at TAS, and i felt im starting to love there already! imagine, going to the sunny island for class, the beach is just a stone throw away, greenery all around the campus, good weather & beautiful sun, and a nice air to smell. WAH! but the funnest thing was the company! i enjoyed my tuesday lecture like totally with MENG, XUE ER, LYNDEL & GEN. ahmeng was god damn funny, as usual. ohmy we were having so much fun. i cant wait for the next lecture with them again!

wednesday morning i went for a wine tasting workshop. im supposed to be a participant you know? wear nice nice, sit there listen to Mr Jeremy Oliver & taste the beautiful red & white wines from Australia. but i ended up being a service staff in my SSM uniform pouring wines for the participants. okay, despite my complainings of having to wear the uniform & not get to taste the wine, UH YAH, I DID NOT GET TO TASTE ANY WINE, but i must say, i went back to TCA with SSM uniform right, i felt so proud in it. i was so happy to smell the air of toptable and seeing others doing wht we've done really made me very touched about all what we have been thru before. okay yes, im starting to miss SSM already. :(

anyway, chiong back to TAS in kenny's mini van to join the rest for lunch at the most chio koufu in Singapore. and headed to Acct lecture with them. uh, we took up the entire left side block and were making alot of noise. shit, we should really stop disturbing others we wants to attend the lecture man. anyway, persuan was playing with my phone and all.. (look at her niao face)


KIM just told me this whole big chuck of story which i think will be more exciting than the lousy stories im gonna blog about culinary today uh.

but anyway, yes today, CULINARY SCIENCE DAY ONE! reached super early at 6.50am and both gens and clara were already there. -.- but still, i spent super long to wear my uniform cos (okay, lets just blog about it..) i had a hard time trying to squeeze my head into the chef's cap! damn, and i mean squeeze okay. you cannot imagine how tight it was please. okay anyho, i think letting us take culi and the ccm take service is really a good way to bond the 2 courses. i went now to locker area and started greeting them, although they gave me a shocked face and didnt greet me back, but we ended up talking and helping each other with the uniform and all. really cool :D

we were sitting inside the culinary theatre for the knife cut demo, and we heard alot of plates sound outside at the Vista. uh yeah, the SSM people are doing all the same rounds as we did. then when we flip open the curtain, we saw someone crying. and made me wanna cry too..

skipping the whole afternoon of practical, i must say that i prefer SSM more. not that Culi is not fun seriously, Culi is very fun, but now i know im a true service person.

blooper no.2 (blooper no.1 is the head too big, cap too small thing), i accidentally locked my keys in my locker after lunch today, again. the first time was during SSM? where fel & i shared the same keys so she can help me open. but whr is fel this time round, sunny island leh! but still calm and steady, my friends & i thought of many solutions.

1) Shout for help from all the girls in the locker room, see if anyone has a matching key.
uh, no one..

2) Try to break the lock myself
other than myself, nicole & gen attempted to break the lock too. but do you think it will work?

3) Ask boon to come unlock for me
cos he helped nicole break her lock before. but please, he's in TAS and only back in TP at 5.45pm, wait for him meh?

4) Go get a hammer from the construction people outside
but they're at the swimming pool there and i shy..

lastly, i start to think of who can replace boon to help me open the lock, and there, right in my own class, AARON! he spent some 10 mins and this is what he did to the lock..

school is starting in 3 days. and i still can't accept the fact that timetable is weird, classmates are changed. OH i should have realised long ago, when Ms Goh issued me my seal points for class rep weeks back. for the next sem, i'm having short five days, whereas some others get long four days. uh, i prefer the latter, cos transport fee is way too expensive. many close friends are in the same lecture group, where im stucked with tiny few others in another. only manage to know a handful of my classmates, others are still a mystery. culi sci on thursday, a day whereby friday class will break our record, for most tasty steak or most beautiful tiramisu, whatever. thurs class ending at 5pm, bones breaking, feet swollen, go home sleep, and need to wake up for friday class.

complained to bear & sham, but no use. as if they can change anything hur.

first week of sch is gonna be busy shit. although there will not be tutorials & lab lessons, im almost fully commited for SA. tues, fri & sat, working for oktoberfest and wed for wine tasting at TCA (10am to 12nn). this is to remind myself in case i forget any.

okay boon, just keep reading for any updates say, "no tutorials week one" or reminder: "its 9am class tmr!" or "print your lecture notes!" okay, im gonna miss you classmate!

toddlers + playgroup + nursery, looking at the well, TV. look at how they are sitting.. -.-

Grace Tan, most doted/loved of the whole centre. but reaction time is 20 times slower than all others.

alright, & for the past 45min i've been settling s3 stuff. oh, let me take a break..

OKAY, back to serious business. today is my last day at the centre/work. and surprisingly, the kids are exceptionally well-behaved today! at least for most of them. (: started the day off with toddlers class, which was already a "YES!" thing. the toddlers were so much better behaved & in better control than playgroup kids, plus the good thing is, there are only 7 puny(s). during sleeping/napping time. alan (the one known for waking up at 1.45pm & disturbing others hard and ALL OF THEM to wake up by 2pm), slept til 2.30pm when his auntie came. oh, he caused a very peaceful sleep for all toddlers. goodjob sock! over at playgroup, kaixun was so much under control today which makes me love him even more. he was extremely adorable just now. thumbs up to kaixun! and auntie sally said byebye to me.. UH.. -.-

sad to say that these things only happen on the last day uh. but yeah, at least i left the centre happier than the other time. as i told gillian just now, everytime when i told myself that this is enough, but when the principal/teacher aminah asked me if i can still work, i would always give a nod, because of the kids. ohwells, if only the people over there treated me better. i mean, the adults, uh, everyone of them.. auntie sally still frown at me when i took the makan today. ?!

sidenote: its gonna be one of my biggest regret for not dropping by roseann's crib this holiday. uh, she's moving :( I MISS YOU ROSEANN!

• meeting brothers regularly
• buying much but still feel broke

HAPPY CHILDRENS' DAY!
this day is a significant day for me this year although im coming 19 and haven't been celebrating it for 7 years but having me now in the kids line is different okay! today's work is oh-so-fun yet not so fun.. the kids came in party clothes today and had a mini celebration at bay 1. guess what, they had a fashion show! imagine kids aged between 2 to 6, parade down the runway, in their fashionable clothes. they were so cute and funny can! while the not so good part, i simply dont understand wht is with auntie sally, duno why she has to be so fierce. im alr trying my best and yet she keep giving that kind of attitude. ohwells, she's the queen there mah, i shall jst avoid as much as i can..

hello world of adults!
ive been missing all of you alot. having to talk to people kids at waist level is yes amazing, but ive not been smelling the adult-fied air for very very long. ive been coping myself at the centre for the entire week, being thrown asked around to help different classes, having to adapt to different teacher's teaching styles & their schedules. although not so fun, but what makes me smiling, and sometimes laughing, really wide are definately the kids. they're so adorable that i have the urge to grab a few home!

life's pretty much a routine for the past week. waking up at 8am, out of house by 8.30am, reached centre in 20mins, enjoy my time with the kids at toddler/playgrp/nursery, knock off at 6.30pm, dinner until 8pm, much asleep by 10pm.

you'll nvr know how much i love the kids. (:

haven't been to town for ten thousand years, so i went on wednesday with lyndel & jio! it was great fun bringing a 6 years old to town with two pretty, hot girls and shopped like nobody's business. bought the pair of pumps, like finally. (: as promised, brought jio to watch movie. we walked chionged all the way from far east to ps, to catch the 4.10pm show. caught Ratatouille. personally, i think its overrated, or that i don't understand the story behind. okay sorry KimChew, i know you're a big fan.

work was tiring. 19 three years old, 2 teachers, can die. sry teacher gillian, if i wasn't of much help. :(
