I was in a state of shock yesterday late afternoon when my doc called me. He told me my platelets count drop beyond the normal levels. And confirmed that i'm having viral fever. He had to refer me to the hospital for another blood test. If the platelets level dropped again, i will have to be admitted. Cos seriously low platelets count can lead to internal bleeding. He personally delivered the referral letter to my mailbox... awe..
Aiyoh.. only fever mah how come like that.. so in the evening i had to dragged myself to the A&E. The man was with me.... while we were queuing up for registration, i was telling the man that i'm very sure i'll be going in to that big white tent. He is like ... no lah... i know ppl wif fever will have to be isolated from the rest... the big white tent just outside the A&E is meant for that cause. Lolz.. True enough... the nurse told me to proceed there...
Went to Triage first then wait for doc to assess... i dun like the doc... so yaya... especially the way he tok... i cant stand it! He took a sample of my blood and left the.. i dunno wat u call this..
on my arm. He says just in case if i were to be admitted or i faint, they can put the medication immediately... blah... eh i'm not suppose to bend my arm until they took this off... anyway.. the doc suspected i had mild dengue fever... i wanted to argue back... (eh i had no other symptoms other than head pain, fever and low platelet count.) End up i kept my mouth shut... they know better than me lor... neverless... i sit outside while waiting for my report, i was cracking jokes with the man... i cant play my psp... i cant bend my arm... go toilet also difficult... haiz... was there for abt 4 hrs.
Finally report came back... good news is that the platelet count went back normal... (sweat) I dun have to be admitted. But they are not taking any chances.. i had to be referred back to CDC (Communcable Disease Centre) for follow up and taking blood test again on fri... I hate needles and i dun like CDC (who likes it anyway)!!!

F-E-V-E-R
I have been down wif fever for abt a week now... it has been coming on n off until i've lost count... it's irritating me cos a tonne of weight is like weighing on my head... i was on pain killers until I feel like i'm so immune to it... nothing works...
Had went to see the doc this evening and gotten a blood test for any abnormalities in the blood, thyroids(as my mum had this and this is genric, the possiblity of getting it is high...) blah blah blah.. results will only be out by wed... haiz.. doc also says it could be viral fever and my body resistance is fighting it thus the fever is on n off... it could also be due to other reasons like cancer, bone prob but the sypmtoms would not manifest until the fever is gone... so everything is wait wait wait till the blood test is out and see if there's any need for further test...
Earlier in the day when I stepped into the office, my colleague told me 4 days never see me, i have become so much skinnier... omg...

Freaked Accident
Not me this time.... is the man. Last night after watching "Boltz" at Vivo wif two other frds, we called a cab to go home as the taxi stand queue was way too long. The man's guy frd got in the front seat and we took the rear seating going in from the right. Just as the man was abt to get his right leg in, the cabby drove off... Yes with the man right leg hanging outside and the door still open! I was literally screaming at the highest pitch of my voice to get the driver to stop.
All of us was so shocked at wat the cabby had done. How could he not checked if all passengers were in and the door closed before driving off!! The man was cursing and swearing away... he held on to his right foot... I could see the pain from his face. He told us that half of the rear tyre went over his right heel. He was lucky to have pulled out his feet before the whole tyre went over it... I cant imagine the consequences.
I told the man to take off his shoe and sock, there was scratches and his heel was slightly 'dented' in. Probably by the weight of the cab. The driver was also in a state of shock. He then offered to drive us to the nearest hospital, SGH. Heng ah... the queue wasnt long, the man had an xray to make sure there was no bone fractured nor any serious damage to his heel at this point but the pain was making him walking in a limp.
The driver stay wif us throughout the whole process, gave us his ic and particulars on his own accord and even advise us to make a report. Initially we do not want to make the matter into any big issue cos I also understand that in our current economic situation, if he's going to get penalised he may lose his vocational license to drive. In return this may cause his livelihood in jeopardise. Wat if he has a family to depend on him to feed. I'm sure this accident will make him wake up and be more careful in future. But his reason for us to make a report is that shld anything worst happened like the man has to walk in a limp for life and affect the man's job, he can claim from the insurance company cos he wont be able to afford the compensation himself.
So in the end, we took his advise. He drove us to back to my place's NPP and we did a report. I told the man that if the cab company call him, try to tok to them and ask for leniency for this accident since the driver had done all his best to do watever he can.
Anyway the man was supposed to go back this morning for his duty but he's limping away. Last night he had informed his superiors on this incident. Guess wat happened... now is my turn to kpkb... there is no blardy ppl on standby to take over him. He oreadi report "c" yet when tried calling for someone to take over, no one is available.. wtf... tho his immediate superior told him no need to go back but no one cover his duty then how.. he LL has to go back lor... I really dun understand how does the civil system works. The doctor oreadi given the 'order' to rest for 3 days and another week for light duty... no running, marching and no boots...
How to expect the man to work in his current condition. I went totally nuts-rattling. But the man told me that in this kind of line is a "dog eat dog"... i was like huh.. wat u mean?! Well he did explained. Haizz.. i really dunno wat to say. I'm just disappointed with the system. All i can say is that it really suxs to the core. They shld have a better planning... if one day really got war and there's no such kind of back up or standby.. then y do we need the a**y for...
So much for "welfare" indeed... puiiiii...

Xmas Celebrations
It wasnt a week of celebration tho... but this week was a well spent week. Last sat, I held a mini party for my close buddies. I have also invited my boss and my colleagues up. A party of food and conversations. The man had been a great host! He was busy in the kitchen most of the time serving the food and drinks...
Christmas eve, my boss brought us out for buffet lunch at the Zenden (Gallery Hotel). Another great food and conversation gathering for us. The food was nice and I just went gaga over the choco fondue fountain. But the variety wasnt much for this. Only if there were bananas... ;p
On Christmas day itself.. it was a potluck celebration with the man's family. It was another great spread of food. The man's brother makes fantastic mashed potatoes... i was hooked on it. This year was kinda of unusual potluck.. the family wanted sushi... so the day b4, i went to order a big tray of makis and salmon sashimi.... kekeke... we all gathered ard the big table, had our fill of food, red wines and yakking...
