it's a new year (chinese) and therefore time to start anew. time to reconnect with the family that perhaps you only meet once a year. some might find it a bother but i kinda like the feeling of having a family gathering.
Through the years, the dynamics of family gatherings have changed. when we were younger, new year is about the goodies, the cousins to play with and ang paos to collect. as we grow older, responsibilities grow and playing a host takes a greater role during chinese new year.
thinking back my role has changed.
anyway, will update with pics about my tw trip soon.... (:

things have been so hectic yet great since i came back home.
touched down on sat night, went home. hubbee was supposed to pick me up but last minute my dad and aunt wanted to pick me up so they came and got me home. went home talked to hubbee for a while then went to sleep.
sunday
bro sent me to dover to pick hubbee up for church. he gave me a bouquet of sun flower! (: <3>
so went to church. and the church ppl were like... ok.. haha.. the kids called hubbee grandpa.. (: the service now is at glory and it felt rather weird.. and the preacher is different too.. it's different! :( but ok lar.. takes some getting used to i guess..
after service we went dwn to IMM for lunch and then headed back to church to get the car from bro. then we headed to pasir ris farmway 2 to look at the doggies! ((: saw these two REALLY cute dogs but we didn't ask for the price.. oh well (: i'm a happy girl.
oh and because i was wearing the retarded keds shoe, i got these HUGE, and i mean HUGE blisters on my little toes. almost the whole little toe was blistered. :(
after pasir ris farm i sent hubbee home and then headed home for family dinner.
dinner was alright, then went home, chat with hubbee, fell asleep.
monday
went for an interview at orchard and then bummed ard till it was time for my other interview at tangong pajar. because of the blisters, i could not walk at all. so i went to buy a pair of slippers for the next interview. went for the next interview and then headed home. showered, took the car and headed to hubbee's work place to pick him up, then went to pick his nephew up from kindie, then went to his place.
his nephew was so quiet in the car but once he reached home he totally changed to another person. hyper active and friendly.. brought hubbee's mum and nephew out for dinner, then sent them back. then headed to jurong hill to look at the view and stuff coz i wanted to see the stars but there wasn't much. nice lights though. can see the whole jurong area including jurong island.
sent him home and then i went home.
tuesday
both me and hubbee not working today so i picked him up at kranji mrt, headed dwn to my all time fav ban mian stall there and shopped for a bit. after that headed to SPCA to look at dogs. i loved a cross breed dog but it was not HDB approved so can't have her :( but anyway, after tt the ocf girls wanted to meet for dinner at geylang.
so we headed dwn to six avenue and on the way there an agent called me, asking me whether i can start work tmr. of coz i accepted it and so i had to head down to collect and sign some contracts. then joanna and natania needed rides to geylang so we went to pick them up first, then went to pick and send hubbee's nephew back home, then went down to city hall for the contract signing and stuff.
then we headed to geylang. and there was NO parking at all! plus the ppl there are super irritating, see the car right behind them still don't care, horn also dun care. they think that they own the road lar! irritating. anyway we couldn't find parking so hubbee ask my friends go to the shop first then we go find car park space. after very long then we decided to go to one of the HDB carpark some distance away from lor 9 where we were having beef hor fun and frog leg porridge.
after dinner we went for tau hui.. hubbee was being such a gentleman ( the one tt he always is) then joanna drove the car to send natania and herself home, then i sent hubbee home, then went home myself. super ultra tired. and it didn't help tat i had to wake up early for work today.
wednesday
woke up at 6 this morning to prepare to go to work. went to work, was super early. work was REALLY boring. coz the computer system was not up so i had to help another dept call what seemed like millions of people to invite them to some workshop thingy the list was never ending! anyway tt passed the day.
then because i was wearing covered shoes, my blisters hurt again. luckily hubbee was coming to pick me up so i asked him to bring slippers for me. (: thanks hubbee... he came over to raffles place to pick me up and then we went to jurong pt for dinner and went to get a few work pants. after tt he sent he back home, like even walking up the slope to my gate, when his house was just one or two stations away from jurong point. thanks again hubbee..
so here i am now, heading to bed soon. and a very blessed girl. sometimes doing the simplest things with the right person makes everything extraordinary. (:

tried packing to go back today and it's so hard!! i wanna bring home everything! not enough space!! :( and it doesn't help tt my room is so utterly messy.. anyway shall continue tmr. after brunch with deb.

but having fever on and off these two days as well.. :( anyway,
went for glebe street fest after church today.. got sunburnt! how loser is tt?! haha.. anyway had fun with my pal-ies.. and of coz i paid the price for going out in the sun for so long.. fever! :(

had a good day out with deb today after handing in our take home paper! ((:
anyway went to kino and bought this horoscope mag. i love reading it coz it's fun. not that i believe any of the "the moon and stars are on ur side today" kinda thing but i find that personalities according to horoscope are rather accurate.
