Review, reflect, refocus

A lazy Sunday afternoon at home alone.. Guess such times are needed too!

Was truly edified by today's worship service - from the reflections shared in the bulletin by Sister Pauline about how Elizabeth was waiting on the Lord, and also what we can read in between the lines from the short few chapters about her in the Bible, to the songs that were chosen for the service - especially When I Look Into Your Holiness and Strength Will Rise (Everlasting God) - and even the announcement about our plan for the new Saturday evening worship service come April. Very exciting times in our church, and in many of the transformed lives i see around me.

I so want to be at the centre of God's will, and to be part of His exciting plans. Following from last week's sermon, i want to be willing to exchange the plan i have for my own life with the one He has for me. Yet just like in the analogy of an "amusement park of life", it seems that so much of life is spent in the queues instead of on the actual rides themselves..

How do we live each day so that it counts? How do i practice the presence of God in my life - at work for example? Thoughts and prayers are with those who are unwell: Auntie Maureen, Sharon, and ZYen's dad.. Lord, teach us how to live in these times.
