Meant to put in an entry before the year ended, but before i knew it, it's 2009! ;P ...which is testament to how quickly the time passes and how we really must make good use of each day, hour, minute..
During the last few days of 2008, i too recapped on how the year went (besides real quickly! ;P) Yes, lots of transitions - new home, new job, new experience in Kenya, and most recently new car.. Thankful for all of God's provisions especially in the house and creature comforts, and also for His mercies in helping me adjust to life in the new workplace, with a team of wonderful colleagues, who, like those at the DAS, have also become friends and spiritual encouragers.
Now as i look forward to the year ahead, i have many resolutions in my head - to be a better wife, friend, psychologist, Sunday School teacher; to cook more, keep the house tidier; to start exercising regularly... Above all else, to know God better and walk in His way more than before. Many if not all of these require time and commitment to carry out; and i am somewhat startled at how fast my new 2009 diary is filling up just after i bought it yesterday. Even as Stan an2d i discussed some of these hopes and plans during dinner (at Jack's Place no less!) and committed these to the Lord at Life BP Church's watchnight service, we know ultimately that we don't know what the future holds. But we're so glad we know Who holds the future!
Besides keeping overseas friends updated about my news, this page hopes to encourage others along the journey we are all on. Looking back, it is surely testament to God's amazing Grace and Faithfulness. Looking ahead, we press on towards the goal, learning what it means to love each other, and not waste our lives.

Christmas spirit
It's that time of year again and this year.. no long holiday that i have enjoyed for many years already ;) So much to give thanks for - our own home, family and friends, jobs, and countless other blessings.. Yet amidst all the gift-giving, gatherings and food and festive cheer, may we not lose sight of the Reason for the Season.
