Not home yet

Not quite sure how to pray for the situation in Mumbai and Bangkok... Seems as if the world has enough trouble already what with natural disasters, disease and economic crisis, that it seems quite incredible that man would kill each other or cause discomfort or inconvenience on purpose. I guess it's alright to pray for God's mercy on such situations, and that is also why i long for the day when Christ will rule on this earth and the world can experience how God originally made it to be. Meanwhile, we are not home yet..

Have been thinking a lot about the idea of journey. It's a word we sometimes use with parents when we tell them the news that their kid has autism or another developmental or learning difficulty. It's a word the Bible uses to liken our walk on this earth as well. Truly, we are all on a journey of life; some parts are hard and some parts are easier. Sometimes the hard parts come because of the choices we've made in life. Yet what a comfort it is to know that as Christians, we have Someone walking beside us who knows what is ahead. No matter how this road of life turns out, we know our destination. So we brace ourselves for possibly bumpy terrain and try to enjoy the scenery and enjoyable pitstops on the way, thankful for those whose paths we cross and trying to encourage them to head in the same direction as us. I think it's good to remind myself occasionally that this walk is not the main highlight, but only the process of getting there.

Glad that Stan is back from a great trip but not sure how glad he is, seeing what he's come back to ;P
Looking forward to the Christmas season with My Hope Singapore and more gigs ahead.
Happy that i'm using today more productively than yesterday.
