Since returning to Singapore and getting busily involved in work, Agapella and other activities, i've been finding it increasingly difficult to have time to blog. So as Stan reminded, seemed a good opportunity on this quiet Saturday in the office, while waiting for my appointment to arrive.
Since my last post, i had a rather terrible bout of what i think is food poisoning (instead of the possible stomach flu the doctor proposed, as the symptoms i experienced seemed to disappear after one bad night). My darling husband was absolutely amazing, looking after me and cleaning up after me(!), for which i am extremely touched and grateful.
My Aunt Ivy came back from the US to join us for church camp, and it has been really nice spending time with her and catching up while she's around. Now we await Uncle Victor's return for my cousin Tim's wedding :)
Church camp was really good, making Mark 13 much clearer to me now, and a sober reminder of how we must live in the light of Christ's return, or if the Lord should choose to take us Home before that, whichever is sooner. Was very happy that Stan enjoyed his first YCKC camp too :)
And all this while, the Agapella gigs have been ongoing; some good, some not so good, but as Averil reminded us last night, all for the glory of God! It has also been exciting to have our album reviewed in the newspaper, and to hear our songs on national radio!! We really praise and thank the Lord for every opportunity He has given to let others hear us sing about Him! =)
Now that Christmas is well and truly near, can't wait to catch up with friends who are in town, and need to get some shopping done! But in the end, want to be able to spend some time reflecting on the amazing gift of Jesus Christ at this special time of year, and look back on the year that has passed, in anticipation of the coming year, and review what changes have to be made.
