The year of the pig is almost upon us! ...Which means that a couple of my dear cousins will be turning 24 this year ;) Speaking of my cousins, i'm ever so thankful for each one of them, and for what the Lord is doing in each of their lives. Ian & Carol's recent testimony of their journey to 'the land of the free' to join the family there is especially amazing! Despite the parts of the story filled with uncertainty, i'm also glad we were able to catch up for a short while during their recent trip back.
Now, getting right into the swing of things at work, mostly conducting urgent assessments to support students with dyslexia in their request for exam accommodations in their PSLE and 'N'/'O' Levels, i'm reminded about what we learnt about prioritising activities. How much of our time is spent on Urgent but Unimportant things, versus what is Important but Not Urgent? (Or worse still, the Unimportant and Not Urgent ;P) Perhaps in the context of Singapore, using our time wisely would also mean knowing what we can and can't handle, even if that means saying no to certain people and requests.
Anyway, despite not having had the time to really go out and look for new clothes for this Chinese New Year, am glad for the 5-day break from work :) ..erm ya, and as i have been reminded by a few people, last year to collect ang pow heh. Wow can you believe it's only a month until i return to Perth for graduation!! =)
