Besides keeping overseas friends updated about my news, this page hopes to encourage others along the journey we are all on. Looking back, it is surely testament to God's amazing Grace and Faithfulness. Looking ahead, we press on towards the goal, learning what it means to love each other, and not waste our lives.

Compare the pair
Gee i guess size does matter in some cases... (For the record, the size was reflected in the price ;)Thoroughly enjoyed the M-Pact concert on Sunday evening.. Especially their blues song where they imitated various different instruments. And of course their live rendition of De King Is Born Today. Another of my favourites was Silent Night where they start off in unison then slowly divide into the various harmonies.

Where is your treasure?
One of the things on my To-Do List was to clean up and organise my room a bit since i have the time. But must say i don't think i was very successful as there are things that i just can't bring myself to throw away. (Even though i can't for the life of me think what use they could be, making me - for the moment at least - think twice before buying something..) What caused me the greatest grief however was the condition of my books - even the Lit texts from JC have yellow and spotted pages, making them look like they are from the last century instead of the last decade :( This made me think of something another friend said just two days ago: how we are told not to store up for ourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy (how true!) and where thieves break in and steal (like a laptop!); but instead to store up treasures in heaven.

Well it's almost two weeks since i returned home but in a way it seems longer than that - life in Singapore just seems so full of activity (even for the unemployed!) These are some of the things i've appreciated most about the time back home thus far: attending the 3 weddings, catching up with old friends, rehearsing with Agapella again, worshipping with the brothers and sisters at YCKC, reuniting with dear cousins, watching musicals/performances with Stan (probably too many in one week ;), and oh ya, eating the local food once more ;) Also very grateful for how things have been progressing on the job-front. Giving myself a bit more time to decide before (hopefully) starting work in January. Would appreciate any prayer and wise counsel to be offered :)

Home
It's good to be back. -although slightly strange that the feeling is so familiar (having lived in this house for most of the past 22 years) and yet at the same time, there's that tinge of unfamiliarity having been away for so long. Great to be able to catch up with Windy after all this time (has it really been 5 years since we stayed together at 15 Warrington Road?!) and really looking forward to the expected mini-Sheffield reunion at Tuan & Min's wedding later :) A pity about those who couldn't come to Singapore for this special occasion. I personally am super-glad to be back to be able to witness this and two other weddings of a special friend and a cousin next week. Such an important covenant they are making, and it's great to be able to share in the joy being physically present instead of only celebrating with the couple in spirit :)

last days in Perth
Despite my essay being due the next day, i’m glad i went for Church Together on Sunday. Such a special event, sort of a tiny glimpse of heaven where so many people from different local churches gather together to worship the same God! The message by evangelist J John was clear and Spirit-led; the prayer for the different generations was inspiring, and the fireworks at the end of the time of worship in song were also beautiful! Definitely something to experience if you get the chance, since i’m not sure any other city does this.
Well, all my bags are packed; i’m ready to go (erm.. well, more or less.. ;P) More phot
os as promised

Seasons of life
I'm so incredibly blessed to have had good friends at every stage of my life, all throughout my schooling years, in Singapore and Vancouver, and from Sheffield to Perth. Amidst things to be settled these last few days, it has been good to spend time with friends before i return home. Some recent photos taken (more to come)..
