I wasn't working on Thursday (it's my turn to be on-duty in the office this weekend)... My plan was to acquaint little Asyura with my colleagues in the office before heading down towards the ICA building where I collected her citizen passport... :) I left little Asil at home with my mom...

So we took a cab to my workplace... I've already informed my boss earlier that we're coming and she was overwhelmed to hear that I'm bringing the little one over for a visit...

Once arrived, the 1st person to greet me was Phui Teck (the Production Supervisor) followed by the rest of the production operators who, went seeing the little one, were going all "smoochie- woochie" and everything. Baik2 anak aku tersenyum2, tros menanges ketakotan sebab terlalu banyak sangat manusia yang kernyam kan diye... Hee hee...

Then, as soon as we came up to the office (that was on the 2nd floor of the building), everyone there were already waiting for us at the door entrance... They made funny faces, carried little Asyura around and played with her... The whole entire office were bursting with laughter...

Unlike little Asil whose quite unfriendly (senyum pon tak nak) when it comes to strangers, little Asyura on the other hand seems so friendly and a much more co-operative little baby compared to her brother....
We had a wonderful time in the office... The boss was all smiley... The colleagues were very friendly... And finally, it's time for us to make our move...

I called a cab and had the cab driver to drop us off at Northpoint Shopping Mall where we had our lunch at the foodcourt.... On our way there, we bumped into my eldest sis in-law, Kak Sue and her son, Khai... We had a little chit-chat at McDonald's before going on our separate ways...

So I took a train to the ICA Building with little Asyura... Arrived there, took a queue number and waited for our number (no. 3372) to be called in... Guess what... Right at that moment, the last number called was 3201!! Sheesh!! And there were 126 applicants on the queue!! Arghhhh!! It was a freaking long wait with lots of noisy people around...!! Little Asyura was getting all grouchy and agitated... And finally, after a long wait, little Asyura received her own citizen passport (awwww...) She looked so cute in the photo - muke macam nak nanges...

I thought of going to the Singapore Safety Driving Centre where I need to book for another re-test on my FTT... But seeing, little Asyura showing-off her baby tantrums, I thought I better postponed my plan to some other day instead... pfft... By the way, CONGRATS to cousin Lala for passing her FTT!! Woo hoo!! Dah pass nampak!!

Hubby wasn't working last Monday... After settling his errands, he met up with his siblings somewhere in Punggol Beach... Well, I can't say it's not exactly in "Punggol Beach"... It's some sort of a remote place situated at the Punggol Swamp Area...

So what did they do there? Picnic? Nope... Mermaid Fishing? Nope... "Crabby" hunting? Nope... They actually hunted for mussels!! As in THE MUSSELS that we could easily get in the wet market... Yup!! Yup!! Yup!! There's lots of them!! And so, they brought back their harvested mussels home to be washed and cooked...

A simple recipe that I'd like to share... Lily's Hot & Spicy Mussels!!

Ingredients:-

4 Cloves of Chopped Garlics (I love to have more of these in my cooking)
1 Whole Chopped Onions
Chopped Chinese Parsleys (to garnish)
Chilli Paste (I like it hot & spicy)
Ground Black Peppers (optional if you are a fan of hot & spicy food)
Lemon Juice (to add a little bit of zest or you can even use vinegar)
Sugar (a little bit of sweetness)
Salt (to taste)
Cooked Mussels

So you heat up about 2 tablespoons of cooking oil. Fry your chopped garlics, onions and black peppers. Then add in the chilli paste and fry for another 3 to 5 minutes or so, at a medium heat. Then you add in your mussels into the cooked gravy. Add in sugar and salt to taste. Squeeze about 2 tablespoons of lemon juice and there you have it!! Your own home-cooked hot & spicy mussels. Garnish it with your chopped parsley. :)

My 1st brother in-law (Abang Don) and his wife (Kak Sue) had organised a little family gathering down at the Sengkang Sports & Recreation Centre in-conjunction with their son's (Khai) birthday last Sunday...

My mom in-law was there... 3rd bro in-law (Yus) and his wife (Muz) were there too... We had a little chit-chat by the pool overlooking the whole entire swimming complex... The men (plus boys) in our family had a wonderful time getting themselves wet... We, on the other hand, well, you could say that we were busy taking pictures of ourselves and the rest of our family members... Hee hee...

To both of my sis in-law, Kak Sue and Muz: Although, we didn't get ourselves wet in the pool like our hubbies did, but I know we really had a great time laughing our hearts out, if you get what I mean... Hee hee... A moment to be remembered... :) But I definitely will drag you guys down into the pool with me once I bought myself a Muslimah swimsuit... Mwahahahaha!! I sure will!!

We made a little stop at GIANT Hypermarket situated in Tampines... Had a little shopping spree there before making our way home...

Talk about GIANT, I almost forgot!! You know, hubby and I, we bought this cute little baby float from the Hypermarket and we brought the float along with us to the swimming complex... Guess what happened to the float... It burst in less than five minutes after getting inflated!! And little Asil hasn't even had his chance of riding on it either!! So much for our money spent on the baby float... Sheesh!! Rip-off!! The best part was, we threw away the receipt of purchase... pfft...

Anyway, you guys, pictures uploaded...

A little message to Muz: Please upload your pictures so that I could upload some into my blog... Hee hee... Thanks sis...
