Trip to AZ
All three of my girls have started dance classes. Lucy is doing hip-hop which has been hilarious to watch the other two are in a combo tap and ballet class. I was able to stay for the first little bit of Addies class- I just thought it was adorable!- so far all the girls love their classes (keep your fingers crossed that that will last)
Yesterday Adalie and I were on our way back from her Dance lesson and she began to pull out each and every bobby pin from her bun and I hear her say in her 5 year old voice "gosh darn mommy, how many of these did you put in my bun"... to which I said "gosh Darn?" where did you get that? She didn't know but I found it hilarious that she in her 5 years has become a true westerner- Gosh Darn it! Speaking of Addie she also told Zach that he "needed to see a Dr. to fix him so he wouldn't lie anymore". If only it were that simple!
We had the chance to go down and see Kimmus last weekend and had a great time. Kylie got Baptized and we felt lucky to have been part of that experience, Mom and Dad and Travis came as well which made it a fun trip. It was great to be in the warm weather and being with family. Plus we got to sit around and relax quite a bit (or was that just me?) I didn't even mind the driving part on the way from Yuma to Phoenix, it brought back many memories being on the rolling road that we took many times when I was a kid, plus the kids had a blast, JD kept yelling (and I do mean yelling) "Here comes another one.... whoa..." repeated 60 times.. Overall the travel wasn't bad (Lucy Averie and I all got to ride first class back from phoenix which was nice) and it was just nice to get away for a second. Now I need another vacation, or something to look forward to before the holidays get here.
I look at my phone and find that I don't have as many pictures as I thought I did, hopefully we took more with the actual camera so we have some captured memories from the trip- I will post them later if I find some good ones.

Summer fun
Mom this is for you... I mentioned that I was very bored at work last week and you were astounded that I didn't "update my blog" so I thought about it and you are right. I have a million things to catch up on so I thought I would try to do a little today and perhaps stay on top of it for once.
All the kids have turned a year older (man it has been a long time since I wrote). Zach is now 11 and is still into science and reading and loves the Wii and computer games. He would play 24hours a day 7 days a week if we let him. He loves to be in his own little world. Lucy turned 9 and loves to read and make crafty things, she also loves to paint and play with her friends and cousins (she is also bored easily). Averie turned 7 and she is still a drama queen, loves to dance and sing and also loves the animals. I have a picture that I will put in of her I thought it was funny to see her holding her duck and kissing him- yuck! She also learned how to swim this year and ride her bike and loves doing both very much. Addie turned 5 last month and she is as emotional as ever. She hates it when she feels like you are "mad at her" and is very sensitive to others (with the exception of JD which she will fight with over and over and doesn't really care if he is crying). She still loves to twist & knot things up but mostly she loves to be playing with someone- to be include in what someone else is doing. JD turned 3. I may have already written about him but maybe not so I will include this, he LOVES to be chased and caught. He will provoke anyone to get a good chase going on and he also loves it when we laugh at him, he will continue to do what it is that made us laugh (until it isn't funny anymore). Lately when he gets hurt in a minor way he will wait until he has the "right" audience and then he will cry and get his pity, this is actually quite funny how he can turn it on and off like that. He also loves to play with his bro Zach. They can go around for hours playing games they make up as they go along. He also loves to swing and be outdoors.
The kids are officially back in school, even JD has started Preschool (which was a disaster). For the most part each of the kids got teachers that they like. Lucy is still on the fence, this is the first male teacher she has had and at first she was very upset that he was a mister but I think he is growing on her- although as I mentioned earlier she is ever so bored! Zach would like any teacher and this one is no exception, she is way way too easy and he loves that about her. She actually told me that he wouldn't be having much if any homework this year- that was not good to hear! Averie has a very pretty teacher that has a perfect disposition to be a teacher and she seems to be the happiest of them all. Addie told me the first day of Kindergarten that she had the "best day of her life" and she LOVED it!
The summer just came and went in the blink of an eye. We did have a couple of trips that we took which was nice. We went to AZ and got to spend some time with Kimmus and fam for a day and we had a great time at the Hall fam reunion in some small southern town. We also went up to Strawberry to do some fishing and went up the canyon a couple of times. We also got a season pass to the outdoor pool and did that a few times a week which was great. Lucy and Averie spent a few weeks in AZ with Kimmus and they loved that. Big D took the boys fishing and the girls and I had a girls night out with a movie and sleepover which was great fun. Lucy got her ears peirced, we painted the playset and we had fun doing all the typical summer things.
We had a great garden this year and plenty of eggs from Big D's pets. I have loved reading various books this summer and hanging with the kids. It has generally been a wonderful relaxing time, wish it wasn't over to be honest. I always like sandal weather better than boots. We are headed to Kylie's baptism later this month so perhaps for one more weekend it will "Feel" like summer. That is all I have planned and I hope to come up with something great to look forward too, before the holidays sneak up on us

Well I have to admit, I love the middle of the year at work. More people are away on vacations, more relaxed people around me, nothing major going on at the current time... gives me a few minutes to do some non work things at work- YES! So here are some Maui Pics. Seems like forever ago and yet not so long ago, I want to go back soon it was just one of those kinds of trips, great memories and fun times
