Geneva!

Hey guys!

Sorry I haven't been using this space in a while.. As you may know I moved to Geneva and started my internship! After working for two weeks I had a 10 day long break because the restaurant was closed so I headed to Zurich to stay with Dre since he's working at the Dolder Grand (yeyyy one of the best best best hotels I've stayed in-- amazing spa, room and of course, pool!!)

 I was reading this book on my way back to Zurich because I left something back in Geneva. Switzerland may be a small country but travelling there takes 3h :-/ And it's not cheap either, with my half price card it costs 42CHF one way!!!

I'm currently typing this post workout! There isn't much to do in Geneva on a Sunday but I found some places that open on Sundays so I'll probably to check that out!

The people in the restaurant are soooo nice, they all speak french but they make an effort to play charades or speak slowly so I understand :-) Old people are the nicest hehehe I served a table of 6 old ladies and they were super super kind to me!!! This grandma would speak realllly slowly to me and put her hand on mine as she speak just like how my grandma would.. Awwww makes me miss my grandma so much :-(

Most people in Geneva are realllly nice but the weird ones can be really weird too :-/ Not really sure how to feel about them.. Today some Albanian guy came up and talked to me and asked me to add him on Facebook (no intentions to lol)

My manager Greg is super funny but he keeps making a lot of sex related jokes omgggg even the chef! They're super ridiculous and fun to be around but when they get angry... You don't even wanna be on the same street :-/ I'm always slowly backing out of conversations with them when they're heated but a good thing with them is that even after you screw up they would get back into the professional mode and continue service as if nothing happened (which made me feel even worse yknow) and chef will always be like, "Amanda! Smileeee" and it's funny because he doesn't speak english yet he tries :-))

Slept till 12.30pm today because I was so exhausted working.. I've been clocking almost 50h this week already (I'm only supposed to work 43.5h a week) but ah well I'm sure I can only get better with time! In this 24 weeks, technically I would have had nearly 30 weeks of experience so that is better for me :-)

Can't wait till it's over so i can head home! My hair is getting ridiculously long.. I really wanna dye it an ombre shade of baby pink then chopping the lot right before I go back to school.. Idea?? :-D
