Broken Bone...

Well it happened, our FIRST broken bone in the house (minus Blake, we all know he's broken plenty of bones as a child)! I honestly thought Weston would be the first child to break something but it was our little Monkey Ashlyn...(she was literally hanging upside down by her knees in the backyard from her "bar" aka rope that is between 2 trees)
In the x-ray above the break is pretty obvious, but it's the straight bone closest to her ribs at the top! She has had another x-ray done since this one and it's already started healing a bit, however she still has to take it easy for 4 more weeks (SOOO hard for kids to do)

This was at the hospital, she only smiled because her daddy asked her to!

She wore the figure 8 for a week and at night she wore both, but the doctors have said to just use the sling from now on and she will heal great! She's having a hard time laying low and doing things inside, especially since the weather is just starting to cool down a bit. Lets hope we don't have to worry about another broken bone for a VERY long time

26 weeks

(I hardly ever catch Stella smiling in a picture, stinker!)

SO, for some reason this pregnancy is going by SUPER fast and it's crazy that I'm kind of counting down already! I have 2 more appointments before I go every 2 weeks and I only do that twice before my weekly appointments start... Plus with all the Holidays coming up I'm sure it will go by faster. I will be induced on January 3rd unless I go into labor on my own before that, with Stella I was 4.5 cm 11 days before my due date so we'll see, I guess it's a possibility!

I have made a small goal to clean/organize one space everyday in my house (besides my normal cleaning) I feel like it's so easy for clutter/papers/stuff to pile up (especially with kids bringing projects home from school 3 days a week) and then I get overwhelmed and annoyed so I've really tried to randomly choose a space/drawer to help feel like I'm keeping that under control. To be totally honest I feel like we are bursting at the seems in our house adding a 4th child, but really i just wish the kids had a playroom to put all their "play stuff" and I could close the door! I think moving sounds good because it forces me to throw stuff away, but lets be honest I don't have the energy for that right now anyway :)

Lately I have just felt really blessed to be married to someone who works so hard - he never complains and still makes time to be so involved with the kids and make them feel special! Blake has really helped Ashlyn learn to read and has spent extra time with her doing that and I see the excitement in her face when she accomplishes something! Weston has really just wanted to be Blake's shadow and help him fix things around the house or outside. I saw him with Blake's wrench and he had his skateboard upside down trying to "fix" the wheel... He often tells me during the day that he "misses his daddy". He's our sentimental child and tells us both often that he loves us randomly, he also thanks me for dinner just about every night!! Stella is talking more and more, always wants included playing with the big kids! We are trying to teach her to be "soft" before the new little guy arrives. She is a great "napper" and I appreciate those 2 breaks during the day...

Bring on the Cooler Weather! I love Fall

Ashlyn's first day of Pre - K

just a month behind on this, but I have plenty of reasons!! I never knew a kid could be SO excited to go to school, she LOVES everything about it... Her teacher is amazing and Ashlyn loves that they change seats every week to get to know all the kids in her class. She loves learning and can't wait to show me the thins they did that day while driving home in the car. Weston asks her as soon as she gets in the car, "how was your day Ashlyn, what did you learn today" - for some reason Ashlyn gets really irritated that he does it but I think it's so sweet.

Baby Baby Baby...

We are having a BOY... this is kind of a profile picture - his arm is almost in his face so it's harder to tell, but all looks great and I'm measuring right on schedule :) they said he's around 7 inches and 1 lb!! We are about half way and I'm looking forward to the cooler weather in a few months
