I'm Back

Well it's been awhile huh! Sorry for the delay in posting - I've been busy, well let's just say I've been hanging out with my Mom and my Grandma Bird and my Aunt Debbie whom I think are wonderful women! We talk, go shopping, eat lunch together and I love every minute of it! It's nice having a change in my day and other adults to converse with I might add. As far as my little kiddos go, Weston began his Rice Cereal this week and seems to enjoy every bite (yum) and Ashlyn is coming up with pretty clever comments. This is a new one this week

my Grandma Bird: "Ashlyn we are in the parking lot I need to hold your hand"

Ashlyn: "No Grandma, I hold my OWN hands" (as she gracefully clasps her 2 hands together in front of her and walks toward the car)

She has continued to do well with her potty training and is almost always dry when she wakes up from naps and bedtime, we will not be buying her anymore "sleeping diapers"! YAY for our big girl, her new favorite thing to do is play the Wii (boxing, baseball, golf, and race cars) I love that about every game is "family friendly" and for any age!! Is January seriously almost over? Ugh time just passes right along
she is boxing Blake and thinks it's so funny!

5 Months Already

yesterday our baby turned 5 months old, wow how quickly it has passed by us! Of course the holidays tend to make us all busier people. He has grown and changed so much, he's currently

"Grabbing" anything and everything
laughing and squealing SO loud
rolling all over and I find him many feet from where I set him down
drooling and chewing like crazy (waiting for a tooth to appear)
thinks Ashlyn is hysterical and watches her every move
needs to be near any activity going on - people watcher
sits great in his high chair (will soon have solids)
loves his feet and holds onto his thighs

It's hard to believe he was born at 6 lbs 7 oz and is currently at 14 lbs 4 oz. We love him more than words and we especially love his blue/green eyes. His hair is still red, I had cut it very short once the back started rubbing off so he has way less hair than when he was born (see above). We are looking forward to the next milestones ahead and are grateful he's part of our family!
