from the diana mini! haha. i have no idea why they are so overlappy or why there are so many exposures on one frame. but i like these two. :)went to kevin's last night! actually i went to bishan first to meet ian. went to get socks/ slippers/ koi, then went to dpv to wait for kevin and the rest. kevin took forever to get backkk. got stranded under an umbrella at the pool cos it was raining. ian was falling asleep haha. it's amazing he managed to stay up.
no time to blog in detail! so stressed with last minute packing! and also i drove my sister to btp to pick up our film in a jam!
was fun making pineapple tarts. fun but tiring haha. attempted to make my right arm less flabby HAHA. but my left arm still super flabby ewww. also made kueh lapis! which didn't smell or taste like lapis, though the second one did look like it haha. should get the recipe from cheryl. :)
finally got to meet the other cats properly! lenny, luna, and lara. i like lara the most, though she's so shy. she looks like the female version of tuna. :) thank you kevin for letting us stay overnight and use the kitchen! :D
ian's car didn't get wheel clamped haha. he's coming back here to send me to the airport! much loves. :)
i feel so unprepared for the cold. :|

spinner photos! :D i want to get a film scanner.. but i don't know enough about them hmm.
met sissy and kevin for lunch at yoshimaru in holland. :) thought it was not bad. then sissy had to go back to work.
kevin and i went to bugis to collect my film! at first we thought they didn't stitch the photos together for me. but they did. :) though some of it wasn't done too well.. after that we went to have durian puree at 记得吃. yum. :D walked around a lot trying to find a coffee bean that sold yoghurt. :| in the end we decided to go back to holland zzz. ;p knitted a bit then went to sushi tei to order our yu sheng for tomorrow! :D then went home.
my mother bought liver! and ice cream! though i really don't know why she bought ice cream today since we're leaving on saturday. that means the brother will eat it all up..
finished the mint scarf omg! finally haha. but i haven't tucked all the stray ends in yet. so lazy alreadyyy. still have to knit 2.5 mini scarves before tomorrow night... wonder if that's possible with everything else i have to do tomorrow..

and valentine's day is coming. i've been trying not to think about it haha. since 2008 we have never been on the same continent on 14 feb.. till this year. (we don't really go that far back? sort of not really? my ring is more than 3 years old.) anyway. we are finally in the same country! but it's a monday, he'll be in camp. so zzz right. haha not that it's really a big deal. (no really, it isn't). is this a rather pointless paragraph...
anyway since it's only 12.30, i'm going to start on my project! :D

after a lot of ugly betty and knitting, i think i only have to do about 4 more sets! ;D that means i can finish it tomorrow haha. that also means the only other thing i have to knit is a scarf for kevin's horse. okay maybe i need to knit one for lionel and caleb's fox also haha. but those are a lot quicker anyway. :)
ian has started doing leg lifts too! ;p it amuses me to imagine a bunk of army guys doing leg lifts haha. okay i'm weird. but it would be quite funny. it was funny enough when rong, kevin, and i were doing them in his living room haha.
tuna is sitting on the shelf in the hopes that i will open the window for him. he's already gone through a purring cycle haha. but too bad. the window sill is wet and i don't want his wet paws on my face when he decides to come back in.

went to holland to meet kevin. it was fine when i left home but pouring by the time i arrived. :( and then only drizzling by the time i actually got to coffee bean. -.-
got my book from him. :) and knitted. and had dinner, which they took forever to bring. knitted more. discovered that the scarf is actually quite warm, albeit a bit scratchy. pull ups, cold storage chicken, umbrella, 61.
ian called! :) which is a bigger deal than it sounds haha. he's quite lousy like that. ;p but ♥ that he's willing to come on friday. :) and that he already ordered dinner for me from his aunty for friday haha. ;p got cut off when i entered the house so i ended up calling back while sitting on my window ledge haha. reception so lousy.
going to have lunch with sissy tomorrow, then going to bugis with kevin. to collect my scanned film and have durian puree. :D can't wait to see the photos! :) and ian said 5 rolls of film hmm means i need another 2.
more knittinggg. my driver's license still hasn't arrived. :(

i keep scratching mosquito bites until petechiae pop out everywhere. :( this didn't use to happen though. what's happening to my platelets!
anyway. woke up at 7.50 and again at 10.25. :) finally started packing for spain! haha. well, putting things aside anyway. hope my country road bag is dry before saturday. pretty sure i am bringing too many things (as usual). need to eliminate some hmm. is there any point in bringing my digital camera there? don't think so right? is 3.5 rolls of film enough? also don't think so right? ;p especially since i need to take Leo photos as well. ;p now that developing is so cheap (because i'm in sg), i think i can be more liberal with taking photos on film haha. ;p
i find that rather mean. dislike x10.
kevin is going to try to help me find the ED book! :) his friend got discount! i just don't really want a huge book.. lazy to study so much.
supposed to meet sissy for lunch but it's already 12.25 and she hasn't replied/ contacted me and i am starvinggg. and for some reason the first food that comes to mind is... chicken! HAHA. been spending too much time with kevin and rong already, getting weird chicken cravings. can't wait till friday. :)

oh no i found something else to buy. :3 my targeted shopping plan isn't working so well haha.
anyway i was in hospital from 11pm-3am this morning! a 1-hour improvement from the last time. ;p saw a lot more patients this time because i was in p1/p2 with the senior doctor rather than in p3 with my father. but in my state of mind i can't remember much of what i learnt also. too tired. :| but he tried to teach me about ECGs cos my ECG reading so fail haha.
just before 3 i started to feel a bit nauseated and like i was going to collapse. :| i think it's just from fatigue. felt better when i was walking around rather than sitting down watching him type notes.
am very thankful for the car.

came up with a new project haha. but decided to postpone it.. since it's a good idea and it would be a waste to do it now. ;p
walked to rail mall to meet diana, yurong, and rong. :) met diana in cold storage, where she bought her cny decorations. ;p then we went to wait in coffee bean because it was so hot outside. ;p yurong came, then it started pouring. got my glass mug from diana! :) her mother asked why we call her banana haha. mostly me i think.
rong arrived and we went to have lunch at cedele. overpriced menu with tiny food portions.. not worth it i think. and i keep thinking that melb brunches are so much better haha. which reminds me, i'm supposed to come up with a list of food places for my uncle and aunty. as if i know many good places to eat.. :\
oh and yurong gave me sunflower seeds! to grow! ;p haha i don't have a very good track record with plants though..

after lunch rong and yurong cabbed to school and diana went to return yurong's dvds and i went to bugis. it was pouring. :( found my way to TripleD. the girl said it would take 2 days and cost about $12. should figure out how to scan it myself using a film scanner. :(
came home and when i got off at the bus stop it was raining torrentially. :( rivers flowing down the slope outside my house. sigh.
watched as my chest of drawers and clothes got magically rearranged. ;p so i keep on waiting, anticipating~
took a nap, woke up and whatsapped people, and had dinner at about 8. kevin bought a new iphone! might go find him later if he's still awake. which he probably will be. if i'm still awake then.
want to get the moleskine hk notebook! but it's like $40+? so ex. :(

it's a game of give and take
woke up at 11.30 this morning. :O first time ever. had lunch, watched gg and ugly betty. ate some junk as usual.
went to meet kevin for dinner at vivo. was supposed to meet him earlier but i was too lazy. :| had dinner at soup spoon haha. now everyone has soup spoon cards. well, i still don't. went to coffee bean to knit. kevin's friend says nowadays got a lot of people knitting at coffee bean. got meh? never see anyone else knit there before lor haha.
at 9.30ish we went to giant to find chicken. don't have. no fish also haha. took 61 back with kevin. he lost his phone! D: but he got his cold storage chicken haha.
oh i went to collect my film! think it's awesome. :D but i think that's mainly because the photos are quite long panoramic shots. don't really know how they look yet because all i have are the negatives.. will go to TripleD tomorrow to see if they scan it for me. :3 fingers crossed (and also hoping it won't cost too much).
also finally meeting the girls tomorrow! :D ♥♥♥
after spending nearly the entire weekend with ian i think i'm having some withdrawal symptoms again haha. which is strange because i thought i was over that.. since he went into the army i'd gotten used to talking to him and seeing him less. so it's just a bit strange feeling this way again.. haha though i don't really think it's a bad thing. ;p someone said something about him going to spain with us and started me thinking about it haha. zzz.
pineapple tart making may become a christmas dinner substitute! haha. if everyone can make it.. kevin wants to lao yu sheng also. ;p it will be nice if everyone can make it.. we haven't had a meet up with everyone together since i got back. ♥ nine.
tuna is constipated. poor cat.

drove to dpv and met rong and kevin. :) knitted for a while, then went to ntuc to get fruits, and cold storage to get yoghurt, then went back to his apartment and had thick & creamy yoghurt + grapes, apple, mandarin orange, and banana. :) yum. watched Monsters Inc. was so sleepy after! drove home. we blatantly ignore what the security guards tell us about parking haha.
wow she really is the female version of you. so grossss.
asked ian to go bake pineapple tarts with us. :D so many people haha. in the end i think i will end up playing with the cat while everyone else does work. ;p
spain in less than a week means i need to:

- finish knitting the scarf
- pack!

woke up early for church this morning. went to eat eggs/toast after the service and saw th heh. ian says he's good-looking haha. also met lionel! haha he looks exactly the same..
went to bishan to get stuff, then went home to change. went to swim opposite. :) isaac came over to attempt to fly his kite but he also ended up swimming haha. managed to tan a bit. :)
had chicken/ ribs/ duck and juice on the kap steps. met edwin wong. ;p then ian drove us to btp to develop my spinner film. the aunty said they can't print or scan. :( so i just developed. hope the old man's there tomorrow then i can ask him.
ian sent me home and drove home. well he should be driving now. his driving is getting scarier. :( and so is his walking haha. something wrong with him already.
seem to keep meeting people nowadays.
spain in less than a week omg! should start packing. ;p but for now, gg and apple chips before dinner and meeting kevin to attempt to save his knitting. :) will hopefully be able to drive so it won't be so sian haha. lazy to change bus. ;p

talked to charmaine yesterday. :) haven't seen her since she left melb.. and i won't see her again until rotation 4! :( which is like the middle of the year... but then she wants to go fishing, surfing, and i think we'll have quite a few brunch dates also haha. :) looking forward to that. :)

woke up at 8ish and ian picked me up at 9+. got buttermilk and flour from kap then went back to bishan, where we made blueberry pancakes for us and his mother and porpor. next time we won't put the blueberries in.
slacked..... forever. trying to figure out where this book shop was. couldn't figure it out even after looking through 8 monocles. in the end we decided that we were too lazy to go out and walk around so we just stayed in haha. eventually went to j8 for lunch at din tai fung. xlbs were better than the last time i was there haha. got koi on the way back. still not impressed.. people kept staring at my spinner haha. i'm trying to finish the roll so i can get it developed before spain.
went back to his house and slacked some more.. took a nap.. eventually it was 6 and we went over to his aunty's house for his extended family gathering. met his uncle's siblings and mr hou! still find it a bit weird that my parents know them..
left after a short while, ian sent me to the mrt station and i went to tiong bahru to wait for the parents to pick me up. had dinner at golden spoon. the food was really good. :D so yum. :D ate until i was so full. and i have been doing that.. yet i'm still 42.6?! :(
came home and looked through the clothes my sister wants to sell at the flea tomorrow. inherited some of them. ;p mostly brand new too haha. she's watching yawning videos on youtube to try and induce a yawn. she's trying to test my yawning with mouth closed → blocked eustachian tube theory.
have to get up early for church tomorrowww goodnight. :)

hello.
woke up at 9+ this morning and though my eyes were really tired i couldn't go back to sleep. eventually had breakfast and showered and had lunch and went out. it took me 1.5 hours to get to vivo today. the bus ride was an hour long, i have no idea where the extra 15 minutes went.
met rong and we went off in search of bikinis haha. also bumped into sharon and aster (and aster's mother)! went to resorts world.. the vs was disappointing. :( went back to vivo after walking around a bit.
took the nel/ ew/ ns mrts to yew tee and then walked around trying to find ian's camp. failed. he was like 2 hours late anyway. sat at a hdb void deck and talked to cats (who ran away) and knitted.
finally met him at the mrt station and we took the train to bishan. talked to his mother about my nuh experience and his porpor getting her teeth extracted. had dinner with him because they had already eaten. we were both so tired. tried to think of what to do tomorrow. don't think we've decided on anything beyond breakfast. if he can wake up, that is.
then we walked around downstairs and i let him send me home. ;p because he had no guts to ask! though i'm not sure about our chances of getting a yes... maybe next time. a more reasonable time haha.
am actually very tired but i'll finish this half-watched episode of gg then sleep. ;p

spent most of today doing nothing. watching gg, knitting, lying in bed. ;p went out for lunch with the mother and sister. pizza hut. :D got new earphones! yeay.
tried to nap at various times throughout the day but didn't really manage to until 8+pm. drove to nuh at 10.45 and stayed there only till 2.40ish. ;p there was a lull and father said i could go home haha. such a slacker zzz. ;p there was this really cute old china lady. and this hilarious malay guy. and this cute old man who has no more larynx.
managed to drive home. ;p showered, watched more gg, had some super rings, played with the cat. i was initially intending to stay in nuh till about this time haha. one good thing about being in the clinic with father is that i can yawn with my mouth wide open so my eustachian tubes don't get blocked haha. weird.
tomorrow is a long empty day. till 5ish, that is. hope i don't get up too early. will knit another mini scarf and get back to the big human-sized one. ;p though i really love the tiny stitches, i'm tempted to get long 2mm needles to knit a big scarf! though that would really take forever haha. ;p goodnight world.

got up at 6 to follow everyone to school. mother dropped me off at nuh and i went to meet father. the nurses were all excitedly introducing me to each other and telling me how i don't look like him. then he introduced me to a senior doctor and went off to his clinic.
the doctor was quite nice. but then i'm pretty sure i don't have an objective view on this because of my status as my father's daughter (i think he's been working there for about 20 years). looked at an x-ray of a distal tib/fib fracture (bad cycling accident) and saw a nasoscope on a lady who had been coughing up blood. stayed for the round, then left at like 8.30. ;p
mother brought the car to the service centre then we cabbed home. ridiculous cab fare. watched gg.. neglected my leg lifts again. :( walked to btsc for lunch, which was mediocre. took a bus back because it was too hot (and i was going to be late).
went to town to meet wanjie, zepeng, and zhilin to pass them their books. walked around a bit, then they went home and i self-shopped (window shopped, really). eventually went to ps to get kevin's yarn and a tiny 2mm needle and yarn to knit a scarf for sebas' snobs froggy. ;p
went back home, ate an entire bag of apple chips omg. had dinner, then went to holland to knit with kevin and pass rong her photos. coffee bean again haha. malibu dream this time. knitted a scarf for Leo! ;p so cute! haha. have to knit one for the snobs and rong's hedgehog/ reindeer/ lion.
ten days to spain! should start packing hmm.
i think ian sleeps at like 9.30 every day. i miss him.

went to nuh today. was so sian. :( used all my willpower to convince myself to go. was telling my mother to turn back and go home the whole way haha.
4 other students. 2 from nuh, 1 from imperial, 1 from aussie but not sure where (he wasn't there today). nothing to do. or nothing that i really want to do. huishan was there too. and everyone knows my father, sigh. :\ i don't want to go back! but he says to follow him instead. means thurs and fri night. wonder how that's going to mess up my circadian rhythm.
saw some patients.. saw the plastering of a distal radius fracture. some new plaster, they said.. very different from what i saw in the paeds ED in mmc. much less messy also haha. no bits of plaster water dripping everywhere. poor guy though. also saw this cheerful old guy with random bursts of ?SVT. really weird cos it went from 80 to like 180 and back within seconds. and some others.want to steal the scrubs haha. ;p
left early haha. walked to dover and took 74/852 home. showered, was tempted to take a nap, but didn't. did computer things, then went to btp to develop rong's film. amazed at what camera shop guys do for no money. they are really quite nice. too bad mine moved to cairns.
took 75 to holland and met kevin at coffee bean. decided to have an early dinner so we went to have nasi lemak! haha. so atypical. he went to do some pull ups, then we went back to coffee bean to knit. ;p had a banana chocolate, which tastes like an ice blended secret recipe chocolate banana cake. not bad.. but i still prefer malibu dream. :)
rong came to join us and we went to breko to watch her eat (while knitting). kevin bought some snacks. went to do more pull ups and discovered more exercise machines and swings. ;p sat and talked. eventually took 61 home.
ian invited me to his extended family dinner haha. to meet mr hou, who i've never really talked to before in my life. but he says we don't have to stay for dinner. ;p and rong and kevin want to go and learn salsa haha. for our future ball party, where we will wear masks. :3 in keeping with our intended taitai lifestyle.
that reminded me of when ian was interning at pwc and i went down to meet him for lunch and we went to acts and he ended up having a 3 hour lunch break haha. ;p and also how he used to abuse his free cab rides to come pick me up after work. ;p haha now i feel like kevin. :3
father convinced me to go in early tomorrow morning to meet some senior doctor (i hope it's not the one i already met, so embarrassing). i hope he doesn't make me stay for the rest of the morning. i want to come home and nap before going out to meet zepeng/ wanjie/ zhilin to pass them their books.
and ian went to sleep at like 9.30pm. so early! is it really that tiring? hmm maybe lah. i was so tired after leaving nuh at like 2pm haha. okay need to sleeeeeep. and try to get rid of my flabby arms!

happy day :)
had a mani/pedi in the morning. for the first time ever, i didn't completely ruin either immediately after getting it done haha. hung around and tried the pineapple tarts/ talked to my mother/ showed the mani/pedi lady my knitting. ;p
then went over to the bus stop to take 171 to town. saw jonathan chua and aster in the distance. ;p they were also going to town so we rode together. :)
met kevin at ion and had xlbs at paradise dynasty. ;p okay enough xlbs to last a lifetime! haha. but the normal xlbs there are really good. some of the others were not bad, but others were just weird. after lunch we went to coffee bean at the forum and competed at sudoku and knitted. ;p malibu dream! ♥ and it rained like mad. i don't know where my umbrella went. :(
went to toysrus where kevin spent $10 more on spinning for tofumen. got 2 one-pieces, 1 watermelon, and 2 sunglasses! :D he gave me a one-piece and the watermelon. :) then we walked back to ion and met sissy. :) but then i had to go home because i was contemplating fetching ian from camp.
174 home with a really slow driver. took a nap. managed to get home before the car got back from being serviced. the rearview mirror is still not fixed.
drove to yew tee to pick ian up. my first time driving in singapore in daylight! ;p achievement of the year. ;p drove back to his house. so many cars. but not too scary because they couldn't drive fast haha. and ian's navigating skills are improving. ;p
found out that there was only one parking coupon left in my car. borrowed one of ian's. and stole some of his dinner. now i'm snacking on loacker..
drove (again) to woodlands waterfront. climbed the spiderweb. decided that i like the wcp one more. ;p sent him home, then drove back. still made a wrong turn and went a big round but i think i've got it figured out now. will see if i can remember how he taught me to get there next time haha.
going to make pineapple tarts with kevin and soyboy and whoever else is free next sat! :D
still tempted to not go tomorrow. :( going to sleep with wet hair cos my sister is asleep and i can't be bothered to go downstairs to dry it. and my credit card is expiring, i don't know what to do about that. oh and i really need to go and buy those triangle things to drive with.

jeany wants to borrow Skype. problem is that i'm not sure when uncle wq is going over and if Skype will be alive by then. still miss Skype. but i'm glad that i can drive the loaf of bread at night. and that my loaf of bread driving is getting smoother. ;p ian is now paranoid about red lights haha. i used to be like that when i was learning to drive.
the mba gave me a scare just now by refusing to turn on. :\
i keep checking the mail every day to see if my driver's license has arrived yet. ;p oh and ian paid for the parking fine. which reminds me, i need to actually pay it.
he's so chao ta now. and he gets to come out every day. :)weird to be ready to sleep at like 11+pm. so tired though. probably because i only slept 5 hours last night.
off to kl for the weekend. will be back for dinner on sunday. :)
so sian after coming back i have one day break (knitting with kevin), then hospital attachment till the 28th and then i fly to spain on the 29th. at least there's always after hours i suppose.
think i bottle things up too much so i have to explode once in a while. but when i'm tired of fighting, silence seems to be the best thing. should be used to this by now.

met the hope people at vivo to have lunch with jin tat before he went back to msia. then we went to timezone. and then the pet shop. ;p where dogs were having their hair done. weird. sent him off at harbour.
the 61 ride is so long but it encompasses so much of my life.

spent the rest of the day with ian, mostly at bukit batok. walked back from west mall. not sure how long it took. then spent more time talking/ sitting on his car/ killing ants/ making a dog bark frantically/ playing with another more friendly but smelly dog.
then kevin whatsapped and ian convinced me to go to hv to meet nine. so we unloaded boxes of pet pads from the loaf of bread and we drove down to hv in two cars. he refused to drive first. then at the end he overtook because he was convinced that i didn't know where jalan merah saga was, even though i told him shuwei lived there and we made our tlupatac there.
went to meet nine (-caleb) for a while. sebas asked me to knit his snobs a scarf. then went to the playground with rong and kevin. kevin did pull ups and rong attempted to do chin ups. ;p then she passed me film and her minolta. hopefully the guy at btp can fix it. :\

tomorrow is going to be a weird day. :\
anyway. option A is what we always do, but it's getting old and i keep thinking time isn't on my side. option B is the best, and hence the most difficult and requiring the most effort. option C is what will happen if all else fails (if i have anything to do with it). and option D is really just plan B, which i really dislike.
that always works. i always do it. because when all else fails, that always works. but it's just really option A. delaying the inevitable.

highlight of the day: driving. yeah, just that.
i don't know what i am doing anymore. and i'm also depressed about starting the attachment on tuesday. and sian about going up to kl on saturday. sian about everything really.
got lost on the way there and on the way back. so brilliant right. but i managed to figure it out on my own so it was okay. ;p just a bit stressful not really knowing the roads and driving a loaf of bread on wheels. and having not driven for a month. but now i've broken the spell. ;p
ye-ah.
yesterday zhilin and i met jin tat and his friend. lunch at thai express, walked around city link mall, the esplanade, marina square, and suntec city. then we wanted to sit down so we went to watch a movie. the ghosts must be crazy. such a stupid show! the first film was still alright, quite funny, but the second one was just rubbish. should have just watched gulliver's travels, though jin tat had already watched that.
met ian after that and walked through fort canning park to dhoby ghaut. then we decided to go to zhilin's house instead of tcc. so we took the train to bishan and ian drove to zhilin's house. met kenneth and sam there and had dinner at spize. then we went back to zhilin's house for karaoke/ monopoly deal.
my father says the impossible project film is lousy and that i should get a polaroid 300 instead. what? i think the polaroid 300 is just a fujifilm instax disguised as a polaroid. though i have to say i have never seen a clear tip photo before. :\ still have 4 polaroid shots left.

it rained the whole of today. not even an exaggeration. was going to drive tonight but i don't dare to drive in the rain in singapore. anyway, as with certain other things, it would have been pointless anyway.
woke up an hour early for nothing. had a picnic at botanic gardens, stayed there from 10+am till 4pm. lots of fluffy baby birds. it kept raining.
ian bought me a bookbook! it's fatter than i thought. i think it's about 4x the thickness of my mba, not even kidding. it looks cool though. just carry it around for show maybe. ;p
went home to grab my knitting stuff, then went to holland v to meet kevin at starbucks. knitted while he researched stuff for his interview tomorrow. then he walked up and down the windmill escalators ten times while waiting for everyone to come. an hour late, no less.
dinner at sushi tei. we made alvin the scapegoat so sebas wouldn't scold us for eating there (and not cjlmxlb, which kevin and i are sick of). then sebas sent all of us home.
why have all these things changed? why am i the only one who even thinks of them anymore.
it's kind of nice to be home earlyish.
meeting jin tat tomorrow so the day sort of filled itself up. don't even have to get up early. :)
also it seems that i will have to do my A&E attachment from 18-28 jan. that's like in a week! :( dreading it already. i don't think i can remember anything even remotely medicine-related. :( sian.
tomorrow i will not have driven for a month.

managed to get up for church this morning. the songs they sing there are like.. the same songs we used to sing in fcbc in primary school. ;p i like it more than city harvest. and the people seem nice. but...
anyway. went to have breakfast in ginza plaza after that. more like brunch since i didn't have lunch and it was already 11.30ish. was sent home after that.. watched some ER and tbbt, knitted, and took a nap. had a durian puff when my mother came back. :)
tried to convince ian to buy hamsters. failed.
he came over at 6.20ish and we all went to jurong hilltop for teppanyaki! :D the softshell crab wasn't nice though. :\ and there was so much garlic haha. ian actually liked the chawanmushi. ;p miracle.
came home, then we went for a walk. ended up in shop&save getting stuff for our picnic tomorrow. he seems to be obsessed with picnics lately. hope it doesn't rain.
named the terrapin Bob. i say "hi Bob!" every time i go to the toilet. but daniel said that terrapins are deaf. :( and he also says i have the tekong cough. though i don't think i have ever coughed for 3 weeks at once. :\
ian is my biggest photo fan. ;p maybe it's just cos we like the same kind of photos. wonder if i should actually get another lens.. i want to be able to take macro shots.
Skype won't start. :( :( :( i think if it died on me when i needed it i would be frustrated. instead i'm just really sad. :( don't know what to do also. :\
and my mother and sister want me to drive tomorrow! but it's at night, so hopefully it won't be too bad. :\ after not driving for a month i feel nervous about driving. :\ especially with the reckless drivers here.

so tired. but i still took the bus that stopped further away. i always seem to need that walk before i get home.
went to town and had dinner with daniel and green man at spageddies. so windy. then they had $1 ice cream. i didn't because of abdo pain. :( rong i think my stomach also spoilt already. :(
walked around borders then went home. need to sleep soon because i have to get up early again tomorrow.. visiting ian's church. my sister says there are scary people there. wonder if everyone will be able to wake up.
was given some strange advice today. have to think about it... but my brain's too tired now.

hello from ian's room!
got up at 6ish and was picked up by aunty cat at about 6.50. the cat was following me around and he hung around the door once he realised that i was going out. but i managed to get out without him escaping.
went to the floating platform for ian's POP. one guy fainted. otherwise it was quite boring haha. after that we went down to meet him. so smelly omg. and we had to sit with him in the car too.. at least he sat in front.
after he showered we went out for lunch, dropped daniel home, went back to bishan, and napped. he's still sleeping. i have been on tumblr. could knit but it's too dark and i'm a bit put off by how un-soft the scarf is after being knitted. :\
waiting for him to wake up, then going to town for dinner with daniel and green man. but i think there's still an hour to go before he wakes up zzz.

it's already 8 jan! i think ian wakes up in a couple of hours haha.
tired. got up at 8+, did the leg lifts, went to west mall and watched Love and Other Drugs with the parents and sister. a bit awkward with all the sex scenes but well. then we had xlbs etc with the grandparents at jalan besah. after that the sister and i went to shop in town. we are spending too much money.
on the way back we saw mother's car at sixth avenue so we got off the bus. without thinking about whether she had just gotten there or was about to go home. but thankfully she was just about to go home. ;p
after dinner we went to jurong west for pastor kenneth's father's wake. everything was in chinese. i'm amazed at how much i can still read. ;p and i am improving my cantonese bit by bit. i keep asking people how to say phrases/ words.
oh yes. sat in my father's 23 year old car for the first time in years. and he played some music by some myanmar band. one of the songs the guy sang was hit me baby one more time. whattt.
came home and cleared my mess into the little drawer space i have. left it till the last minute because i know if i do it earlier it'll just get messy again haha. our deal is that if we clear our mess to our mother's satisfaction, we get to order f21.
now some more last minute things to do. then sleep. have to get up at 6 laterrr.

am so tired. and i don't even know why!
woke up late so i didn't make it to school. stayed home and knitted and watched tbbt and himym instead. ate a part of my sister's lunch.
mother dropped me in town and i went to ps with kevin to get yarn from spotlight. he bought knitting needles too haha! ;p walked to food for thought at the singapore art museum and waited for peiyu. after she came we waited another hour for sebas! zzz. eventually had dinner. ;p
then peiyu went off for choir rehearsal and kevin and i went to wheelock place. sebas picked us up and we went to holland. kevin wanted to sprawl but he sat behind and there wasn't much leg room haha. ;p sebas had nasi lemak while kevin crocheted and i knitted a bit. ;p then he went to drink. decided to take the bus home instead..
oh and i finally bought food for the terrapin. not that i really want a pet terrapin..
also i think i forgot to mention that i met chai and hanting at pd!
anddd i have been diligently doing the leg lifts every morning haha. ;p

i know i am being really laggy with my photos but digital photos are getting so annoying. just because of the number of photos. gah. i will upload them.. eventually.
tried to print my e-visa this morning but we couldn't get any of the three printers at home to work. i miss my wireless printer/ scanner/ copier in melbourne. don't understand why printing is so complicated here. so in the end i had to go to some random shop in bukit gombak which charged an exorbitant $1 per sheet of paper. how ridiculous. but because i had already walked so far and couldn't be bothered anymore, i printed it there.
then i walked to bbdc and converted my license! yay. :) the lady asked me about studying med and living alone haha. she said they'll mail me the license within a month. so long. though it's not as if i'm planning to do any driving haha. though seeing all the L platers reminded me of Skype. :(
went home. forgot to buy terrapin food. :( this terrapin really amazes me. it's gone without food for forever, and its friend already died more than a week ago. its shell is turning white (like its friend's did before it died), but it can still jump into the water and swim around, and climb back onto the rock thing. i hope i can get it some food before it dies. :x i feel so guilty looking at it every day.
knitted and watched himym and tbbt. :) tbbt >> himym any day. then we went to sentosa for my sister's birthday party. one of her friends actually thought it was in pasir ris. went for a walk on the beach with father and brother when her friends eventually got there. watched people try to surf at the wave house and crossed the floating bridge to the other island. saw fih's (this is how the maidy spells fish). went back to eat marshmallows and cake. then we came home. took a polaroid too. the flash was a good buy. :)
going to school tomorrow haha. since i have nothing to do. help my mother take care of the babies (i mean primary one kids).. and preventing annoying parents from getting further than the.. covered play area? dunno.

the miles are getting longer it seems

got back from pd this evening. ian was already outside, so i went off almost immediately.. he made me buy food from cold storage even though i was too tired to eat. went to his house and accompanied him while he prepped to go in. as you can see, he really hates it.
he wrote me a letter!
so the wifi in avillion was terrible. it stopped working after the countdown party on new year's eve and only started working again this morning. and my phone alarm stopped working too. :(
and the weather on new year's day was so hot. and we had to take our family shots too. wonder how they turned out. then my sister and i went to the beach to tan.. but it was too hot. and when we had to call father/ mother to watch the kids when we went up, we went to the sea under their bathroom and shouted haha. ;p
then we had an elaborate private dinner. there were fireworks, quite a few bottles of wine, and they took an eternity to serve the food. it ended with a band coming in to sing happy birthday haha. though my grandfather's birthday is actually nearer cny.
in the morning we looked at ancient photos and said nice things about him. then he told a story and told us his wishes - to live for another ten years, have another grandchild (seven is a perfect number), see us graduate from uni, see brother come back..
went to malacca for chicken rice and to buy kueh bangkit and pineapple tarts. then it was a long drive home. i wonder why it's so tiring to travel even if i wasn't the one driving..
took 157 home from bishan and on the way home, as usual, was trying to figure out what i'm doing/ what i'm supposed to do.. then i suddenly realised that i did actually already have a plan. it's just that i keep being reminded of things..
the bigger the error, the greater the testimony.
anyway. our lava cupcake! ;p
oh and it takes me about 20 minutes to knit one set of the pattern. which means if i knit for an hour the scarf only grows longer by 3 sets. :( so slow! i still want to do another one lor haha. maybe i can finish the rest of the scarf by saturday then i can go ask wendy to teach me another pattern. ;p
saturday is ian's POP. his mother is going to pick me up early in the morning.. but i don't know what's happening after.
and i might go and get my license converted tomorrow. :)

hello from port dickson. :) the internet connection isn't great.. but it's better than nothing.
left home at 5.45am. spent most of the car ride sleeping.. stopped to have breakfast/ shop/ have lunch in melaka. then we drove to pd.
i don't like pd in particular, but i quite like avillion. the hotel rooms out on the sea, the open air bathrooms, the 24hour pools, the animal corner. the day beds. ;p there are two single beds in our room but i am opting to sleep on the day bed instead. so nice to wake up and see the sea right beside you. :)
went for dinner at the lizard coffee shop. there are only two things we remember about it: the lizard, and the butter prawns. ;p even kongkong remembers the lizard.
doesn't feel like new year's eve.. though there were fireworks just now. we're apparently going out for thw countdown? then we have to get up early for the family photoshoot tomorrow. there are so many of us if you include aunty karen's side of the family. hope the weather's good tomorrow. :)
