so anticlimax haha.

going to ikea for lunch with my mother (and to buy a new sofa), and probably having some conversation i am still dreading. hopefully i get to fix my bag, and my watch.

and it's nice being the same size as my sister (albeit shorter), i'm borrowing her dress for later. ;p


day #14 - just because everything's changing, doesn't mean it's never been this way before

good day with huiru and xieai. :) although it did rain and we only went to hortpark in the end haha. spent most of the time under a pavillion thing. picnic! haha which was a bit weird because of extremely un-picnic-y food. ;p but still fun updating each other about our lives and other random things.. ;p

then we took our cameras out haha. xieai took photos of huiru and i and our dianas. ;p she has the flash and splitzer! haha. i was so fascinated. ;p we exchanged lenses and i got to try the flash haha. :D and took photos which i hope work out. :)

took 61 back with xieai. :) and am going to meet huiru again to teach her how to crochet.. haha. hopefully. i'm still doing it the wrong way though. my thumb still hurts. although the half-hat looks cute. ;p i was crocheting in the bus and this old lady sat next to me and kept looking at what i was doing. ;p

my sister gave me a princess protection program dvd to watch haha. her favourite selena gomez thing. will watch it tomorrow i think..

for some reason i can't explain

school started today! i mean for the siblings. which is kind of bad, because my sister won't be around so much to entertain me with her weirdness anymore. haha.

oh a young family from my church is going to perth for YWAM's DTS, and then they're going to spend 5 years in maldives! :O mission trip. their kids will grow up there! :O so cool haha.

the first years looked like they had fun in sydney. :) and tommy takes good photos!

i woke up late today. :( 5+ and then 6+ and then OH NO 7.53am. :( haha. okay nevermind.

day #13 - king nathan can make aeroplanes zoom from sydney probably hiding camels along australia

church in the morning, had to cab there with the siblings. my brother was nice to sit in front, and the taxi driver gave us a 10 cent discount ha.

pastor was like "are you melting? everyone who comes back from australia says they melt when they come back." haha. they didn't bother taking temperatures today, just asked us if we had a fever. i was wondering why you would go out if you had a fever, especially during this stupid h1n1 thing.

said hi to a few people. it always feels weird to be back in church here.. :x

went to friends@jelita for lunch, 1 for 1 offer with certain credit cards. the food was not bad, although at first there was this crazy group of people talking so loudly. so rude. my sister said that kind of place is "etiquetty" haha.

after lunch we went home, then army brought mark and isaac to go cut hair. my sister and i stayed at home to figure out where to go.

THERE IS A LIZARD LEG STICKING OUT OF THE WALL IN THE DOWNSTAIRS TOILET. ugh disgusting. and completely illogical.

my room smells like durian now haha. i wonder how my sister is surviving. ;p

went to bugis to walk around. all three of us bought bags ha. okay and i bought a skirt. :p came home for dinner with the new student haha. we were having trouble communicating with him because all of us aren't very good at chinese haha.

phone call. :) my sister was eavesdropping the entire time haha but that was fine. she was painting nail polish on the metal bits on her bag haha. that's why we started talking about the reactivity series haha. they remember it differently, which is kind of sad. i loved the king nathan thing. ;p and it surprised me that i could still remember everything. ;p

heh and there is some conspiracy going on lor. with my mother leh. haha. october is so far away. and i still haven't thought of anything ahh. :\ stress me out only.

anyway stop freaking out about that! you are freaking me out too. :x

daddy has been going on and on about shih lin haha. so it hasn't died yet. :D good. haha. they went to imm to get groceries etc, and stuff for our picnic tomorrow. :D too bad i don't have my new camera yet.


day #12 - love

got up early for some weird reason, about 7.30 i think. the internet was down. so i sat knitting until 8+, then went upstairs to wish army happy birthday. ;p and check why the internet was down haha. i think daddy was doing something with the new printer. and everything was off.

then i was interrogated haha.

went to old town white coffee for lunch. it's a ten minute walk, or a ten minute drive ha. that's stupid. anyway the hor fun wasn't nice. nasi lemak more worth it.

came home. my sister wanted to go out (and she refuses to go out by herself because "i'm not you"), but she couldn't decide where to go in the end so we stayed at home. i tried to remember how to calculate empirical formula haha. i think my method made sense though. ;p

learnt to crochet. as with knitting, i had to restart like five million times before it started to resemble what it was supposed to resemble.. ha. now it looks like a coaster. ;p my thumbs hurt because i'm not doing it properly. :\ so i was crocheting mindlessly for a few seconds and realised after that i'd ended up knitting instead. haha. cannot be mindless while crocheting.

my sister has been kicked out of the other room because the new student is here. so she was taking up my bed. i am the last person you should be asking to do secondary school science.. haha. i've forgotten everything. okay maybe if you asked me bio i could help. heh then i chased her out of the room so i could sleep. ;p

day #11 - when will you return

the letter arrived yesterday! :D haha. ever since i was a kid i've been thinking that i should make copies of the letters i write because i can never remember what i put in them.. okay but i only ever remember about making a copy after sending the letters. ;p haha.

sigh. this is really all your fault you know? :x

was supposed to go to suntec for lunch with army, celeste, and isaac. but for some reason we got lost and went to marina square instead. had lunch at long john silver's, my first fast food here since i got back haha. ;p i still want my mcwings heh.

after that (to cut a long story short) we split up to shop, army and isaac and my sister and i. which was a good thing. :) it's easy shopping with my sister. she also still owes me money, some of which she refuses to pay me back ("it's not even your money lor"). saw two nice skirts but didn't buy them. finally found something sort of appropriate. we walked all the way to raffles city though haha. student discount! i should ask my sister to help me buy the dress. ;p we rushed back and were still early.

came home and i saved us from a car accident whee. i am terrified of the way most people drive. most of the time it isn't without cause.

finished The Pact (jodi picoult). then someone called me to remind me to read another book haha. ookay. i should.

I HATE MOSQUITOES.

there are neighbours playing badminton behind, and they just noticed tuna sitting on the windowsill haha. ;p waiting for the siblings to come back from tuition, to have dinner.

day #10 - it's a roller coaster kinda rush

skype again haha. ;p with ugly morning hair and everything rawr. ;p

lunch with most of the family, then went to vivo to walk around/ find *ahem specific clothes but noooo there was nothing to buy. except my suntan oil which i still have not gotten. okay i found a nice dress. but it is quite expensive. so i am contemplating.

hmm boring day.

i was so upset to find out that there is no more shih lin xxl chicken in harbourfront! :(

day #9 - you take my hand and drag me head-first, fearless

had a marshmallow conversation in the morning. :)

it kept raining. was glad that it stopped for me to walk to the bus stop. was tempted to call again but no the bus is too noisy. was early so i did my atm transfer and walked around.

met kanesh who really did slim down haha although okay he isn't slim exactly. we ate at cjlmxlb, but no xlb this time because yes he is still vegetarian.

then, following tradition, he brought me to find dresses. but now he's changed so he just says "put it back on the rack" when i say i don't like the dress haha. and he's also less bitchy. and less fat. so it's all good i suppose. ;p

came home and slept standing up (in the bus), so my legs kept giving haha. my sister is speaking with an "-eth" behind every word. she keeps wanting to buy new film cameras now lah.

had dinner with the siblings. :)

had an early family devotion, then yurong came and i rushed off haha. we didn't know where to go, so we went to pick diana up. and still didn't know where to go, so we called rong and went to pick her up from nus. and then we went to west coast plaza (ginza plaza) and had a muffin in starbucks although they were closed. ;p and rong spilt her iced lemon tea everywhere haha. and she has a new phone! haha. iphone better. ;p

birthday sleepover the following tues? ;p

and transformers! ha daniel got to watch it today. but nevermind lah 10 july. :) and you better wait for it! haha if not i will kill you. if you wait i will sleep a bit in the plane so i'm not a complete zombie when i get back. ;p

side note:
it is very very irritating when people take their anger out on someone else. or on everyone else, for that matter. i suppose we all need someone to tell us "you're also like that." but how many people would dare to? i would never dare to tell that person. so. dead end heh.

anyway, i have birds nest soup to drink. :)


today i narrowly missed buses three times. but this time i decided to just take another bus since i could. just had to walk a bit more. but it's nothing compared to walking to the hospital.. right? ;p

went to island creamery. :D with daniel. ;p fresh banana, apple pie, nutella, and cookies and cream. :) and a lot of water haha. there were fairsian seniors there. but i didn't know them. talked... and then took the bus home.

and then kanesh called haha i'm meeting him for lunch tomorrow. 25kg, modelling agency, gold business? haha. this i have to see. ;p


day #8 - too much absence makes the heart grow insane

went to visit opi in the morning while isaac did his abacus homework in the other room (because he gets distracted too easily). helped her transfer her contacts from her old phone to her new phone, she has the same phone as army now. there's a bottle of chlorhex in her room! haha. exactly the same stuff, also by johnsons.

tried to get my bag repaired but they only opened at 1. so we bought lunch home for the brothers. showered and went to town. developed a headache on the way.

met sebas and had lunch outisde taka haha. teppanyaki, modanyaki, and sushi. i only just realised it's all jap. was very very full. but i forced myself to finish it. because i am gaining weight. :D 1kg since i got back! whee. :D

after lunch we decided that there was nothing to do in town so we went back to his place to check out redang/ bintan online. concluded that we cannot go for our holiday because of a) weekends b) choir concert c) some camp that sebas and caleb have d) me flying back to melb. :(

watched house and whose line is it anyway. after 3 hours of headache i finally gave in and took a panadol cold, since i also have a bocked nose. but the stupid pseudoephedrine has had no effect whatsoever. then again i only took one. but i am less than 50kg. rawr.

sat at the bus stop talking about cars. then took 970 home, slept the headache away, which was weird since it came on while i was sleeping in a bus too.

saw the "demon cat." okay we heard it first. it doesn't look that ugly actually. but it makes a sound "like a tortured child," says my sister. which is kind of true. i nearly gave her a heart attack by telling her the price of instax mini film haha. now she wants a camera with two lenses. i still want a supersampler. sometime in the not so near future haha.

my mother bought me a calling card today. calling overseas from singapore is so ridiculously expensive. like $7.50 for $12 credit which = 51 minutes of talk time?! when i stayed in the city and still used calling cards (to call people at like 1am), i could talk for more than a few hours using the same calling card, and even the same 50 cents for calls to a few people.

hmm. oh when daddy was going to fly to sri lanka, he had a thermometer with him at the airport and screened people, and the airline said "you've done your job" and upgraded the team to business class haha. :D

and army is going to cancel my phone line when the contract ends in september. 11th. i will be losing my number for the third time! :( will have to survive on prepaid cards then.

went to watch monsters vs aliens with isaac and celeste. army and daddy watched something pelham 123, which none of us wanted to watch. the show was quite hilarious. :D except for the weird man. although he left after a while.

my mother says i don't dress like i'm twentyone. heh. i'm not twentyone yet. and i guess i don't really care.. most of the time i can't be bothered to take the effort to dress up.. like everyone else.

i think she's going to cancel my phone line when i go back to melb, and get me a prepaid the next time i'm back. so she won't have to pay to keep the line. which makes sense. actually i wouldn't mind getting it now.. since international calls and smses aren't included in the plan. which is stupid.

was supposed to meet sebas for breakfast tomorrow, but he realised that he has tuition, so we'll meet for lunch instead.

have been wheezing! i don't know why. :\ last night i took ventolin for the first time in.. i can't even remember. a few years? i still carry it around though.

it was actually a good day but it doesn't really feel like one now.

sigh.


should really stop remembering things like that, but how can i when i am here in singapore! ugh.


day #7 - and now i know why all the trees change in the fall

woke up 3 times in the middle of the night for some weird reason. uploaded photos on fb. :) the man came to fix the aircon in the other room. and my neighbour is renovating their house. and okay i think it hasn't been as hot the past few days. which is a relief.

my sister: you know how to write a cheque right? army wants you to write a cheque.
me: i don't know how to write a cheque!
daddy walks past the gate outside.
my sister: daddy is home. aiyah then just ask him to write lah. crazy.
daddy comes up the stairs.
my sister: daddy, we have a mission for you.

SEBAS AH. rawr i think our redang thing won't happen already lor. :\

1 hour left. ebay. haha. my sister wants her instax mini. which i am supposed to buy for her using my paypal account because that is linked to my own account in melb, meaning the parents won't know. ha. but she doesn't know where to send it to haha. her friends are all weird.

went to westmall to collect my skirt, and to use another sam machine to buy stamps finally, and sent the letter thing! yay. :) bought gyoza for my sister.

day #6 - give me something to believe in

the grandparents decided to stay a few hours longer to see daddy, so we didn't go to church today. went for lunch at yet con instead. :) am sooo happy to be eating all this good food without even having to ask. haha. ;p

after lunch we went to uncle andrew's house. he's one of daddy's relatives, i'm not sure exactly how they're related, but well. they look familiar anyway haha. the baby was quite cute. ;p i want the coloured ice they have.

the stupid machine refused to read my atm card so i couldn't get what i need to get rawr. have to go find it tomorrow i guess. this means more queues. ugh.

went home, read and ate apple chips (!!) and packed food for sebas. then he came with peiyu and rong. :) and we went to nus to see her exhibition. :D so pretty! but the man was falling down haha. ;p okay but it was really cool. you know, like those model houses we made in primary school but 122437498374893x better. :D

after that sebas drove us back to his house. we waited by the pool for him to get his stuff. then peiyu and rong went off. and we walked to great world. had cjlmxlb (but no gbsjd this time haha) and then watched Ghosts of Girlfriends Past. which in my opinion is a stupid show. haha. but oh well. saw a few trailers of shows i want to watch. ;p but i will be back in melb by then and not be watching movies until december heh.

walked back to outside sebas' house and took 970 home.

i still really cherish all the firsts. if cherish is the right word to use in this context. every time i come back home. the first time i sit in the car, take a bus, go somewhere, eat something. :D haha.

can't believe i actually carried coffee and kitkat home in the little carrier haha. that was quite crazy. okay i think i wasn't the one doing most of the carrying.. :)

today i brought my film camera out and let isaac take a photo. :) my sister and i were singing some song (or was it my mother's new ringtone?) very slowly. and then we simultaneously sang the next line really fast haha. i think that is cool. ;p

doesn't feel like a sunday.

went over to br for dinner with opi and tata, porridge. :) feels weird to go over for dinner instead of them coming over.. but this is what's best for now, so. :)

during lunch aunty sh told me the doctor told opi she was very strong to be able to go through 6 rounds of chemo, her response was "i didn't know i could stop." haha. she's much better now. :) when i left sg the last time she hadn't even been diagnosed yet.

after dinner we went to town, army, celeste and i. mango sale, nothing much, mainly because there were no sizes, as usual. here's where i complain about being a size 6, or 26, or xs. but oh well. it's a good thing i guess. save money.

taka, wisma. waited for mark after his tuition, then went home. i intro-ed my sister to modanyaki. :D i loveeee. she likes it too, except that she thinks it's a bit jelat. ;p

army has to stay up to fetch mama and kongkong from their wedding dinner, and wake up early to fetch daddy from the airport.. she wishes one of us could drive haha. mark claims he can drive.

for some weird reason i can't figure out the starhub IDD 018 rates. ________________ okay i'll just leave it at that.

will be sleeping in the parents' room again, last night before daddy is back. should go upstairs before i start melting again.


day #5 - in just a matter of time

my body clock is quite messed up. sleeping late and waking up at like 7+ or 8+? then i feel tired by 10 but i still sleep at like 1.. haha.

had lunch at asia grand, i forgot that daddy is away, so there were only seventeen of us. as usual, my aunties had to comment on my complexion. oh well, i'm used to it. had dimsum and peking duck. :D two peking ducks! haha. ;p

my siblings seem to have tuition every day, or at the very least, every other day.

today was the opening ceremony of rong's re:claiming heritage exhibition thing. but peiyu and i couldn't be there for it. :\ we're going tomorrow though. :D okay i realise that it's father's day.. heh. i think daddy is coming back tomorrow morning.


so i was talking to someone and thinking. he said the past is not important. i guess in light of the present it isn't really important, but it is the past that shapes who we are now right? although of course you can't base assumptions on the past.. and that brings us full circle.

i'm re-reading it again, after a long while.

maybe one day i will get there, maybe i will not.


the grandparents arrived from malaysia tonight. :) they're attending a wedding dinner tomorrow i think. we're going for lunch tomorrow, all eighteen of us. asia grand. army will bring celeste and i for the mango sale tomorrow night while mark has tuition. ;p

day #4 - a million snowflakes gently fall, yet no two are the same

so i spent most of today at home, eating, watching shows, reading, knitting. went out in the afternoon for a few hours, shopped again. i feel like the girl in Confessions of a Shopaholic. which is bad.

i love having a cat. :) especially when tuna's happy (ie. not biting/ scratching).

was perspiring the whole day, then i took a cold shower and felt much better, but i almost died waiting for the bus. i've always said i prefer the heat to the cold, but now i'm leaning towards the cold.

now there are ants. ugh.

anyway. today i realised that i don't love singapore anymore. which is quite sad.


oh no the critical observation task is due at 5pm melbourne time today and i haven't even started! :\


day #3 - just a game?

slept in my parents' room since daddy's away. kicked the cat in the middle of the night heh. then my mother woke me up in the morning to ask me how to call melbourne. hmm i don't think it's going to change the outcome at all, but oh well.

went to cut hair. it doesn't look very different. it isn't even much shorter. and there are still gold bits at the ends heh. went to westmall while army coloured her hair, borrowed books from the library. :D but i think i looked stupid carrying 4 thick books around because i didn't bring a bag.

swensens for lunch with the family (minus daddy and isaac). isaac is having archery lessons haha. yes and he is 8.

came home and started knitting a scarf while watching heroes. i've finished season 3 now. need new shows haha. and the scarf is about 30cm long.

army told me a hilarious story about how the security guard thought another cat was bery. she went to see it and it didn't look anything like bery, it wasn't even the same colour! heh. we went to try to find it but it wasn't there.

i got ten mosquito bites in the twenty minutes it took me to have dinner with my sister. she was sitting right opposite me and she didn't get a single one, ugh.

tuna keeps coming into the room randomly. ;p i think he might start playing with my knitting yarn haha. he keeps jumping up on the table and climbing out onto the windowsill. i heard that he fell once, and landed outside the house property haha. then my maid had to go out to get him, silly cat.

forgot about how bad the lighting is at night. haven't started reading. :\ am tired, might sleep early.


day #2 - every sky was your own kind of blue

slack day. got up and made my own breakfast haha. didn't do much in the morning. heroes. had lunch at home with the siblings except for mark. homemade pizza (which was not nice), and their weird concoction of honey lemon tea (except instead of making it with water they use 7up). chicken wings. :)

saw daddy for the first time. :) okay since april. he's flying off in half an hour? around there. he'll be back on sunday. please pray for the team in sri lanka. :) thank you.

then we went over to visit opi, who saw us from the window. i told army about the neighbours haha. tata and ian were there too, so hmm i just haven't met the uncles and aunties. and the other three cousins. but we're going to asia grand for dinner on saturday i think. tata's favourite place.

watched a lot of heroes today. while in my sister's study, because no one's staying in our old room at the moment. i think i stole her table. and the power outlet haha. and i find myself in the same position, watching heroes at home while she comments on things they say etc because she never sets her eyes on the screen.

i love the fan. anyway i took a cold shower today because i thought i would suffocate in the steam if i took a hot shower. cold showers are good here.

went to holland v for dinner with daniel. :) nydc haha i refused to decide where. finished the food. i am going to reach my 45kg! whee. anyway. i thought it would be weird but it wasn't really. :) after dinner we debated going to coldrock but i had no space in my stomach so we went to starbucks instead. saw mark's ex classmate hmm. got back at 11+. thank you for dinner. :)

anyway. had lunch at holland v with army, mark and isaac. nasi lemak. :) then i went to town and shopped a bit. the GSS isn't great really. and ion hasn't opened lah. perforated shoes. ;p

met sebas at about 3pm. followed him around topman etc for a while. then we took 14 to anchorpoint. was just basically following him around giving him my opinion on whatever he wanted to get. which was a lot of stuff.

called after the paper, and to accompany someone having dinner in kfc. ;p

went to ikea for hotdogs and chicken wings! :D yum. then we walked to queenstown mrt station and i went to westmall to meet the family (minus daddy) to watch Land of the Lost. it's a really stupid show. also had a lot of stuff i thought was inappropriate for the baby brother but i've always been known to be overprotective ha. i still remember last year's christmas dinner when i wanted to strangle everyone.

anyway when we were at the train station i saw the signboard saying "pasir ris" and "joo koon" and i was like what on earth is joo koon lah. then sebas said there are two new stops after boon lay, they are called stop after boon lay #1 and stop after boon lay #2. but seriously, joo koon sounds stupid. okay nevermind. anyway i exchanged army's ezlink for the new one, finally.

oh today when we walked past the outside of ikea i was reminded of the amazing race thing during sfc camp, how we had to balance on the side of the road. :) i miss those days. would love to do it all again, even the waking up in the middle of the night to find imaginary green beans in the field haha. ❤

army stuck japanese plasters on my left shoulder. she says it'll be better by tomorrow, i really hope so. daddy is flying off to sri lanka tomorrow (have i already mentioned this?). and also i've been here for a full day and i still haven't seen him or my grandparents. i suspect my grandparents are hiding in their room because of the chance that i may have H1N1. and i haven't seen daddy because he's been working (he is working now) and when he came home for lunch i was out. but seeing as we are still living in the same house he could well have caught swine flu from me if i had it. the system doesn't work very well.

HOME.

so i am home. :) feels kind of weird, as it always does. but i'll get used to it and then it'll be time to fly back to melb. 24 days.

hmm i haven't even seen my family yet. army didn't even bother going to the airport to bring my luggage home. everyone could fit into the car anyway. sebas kevin peiyu alvin. :) is it bad to go out with my friends before going home to see my family.. :\ but it's such a longstanding tradition. since 2006 leh.

i used the automated thing at immigration (which sebas taught me to use last time ;p) and it only took like a few seconds haha. :D tried to find stuff for him but they didn't have what he wanted.

as usual, i was complaining about the heat and the suffocating feeling, it takes a lot more effort to get air into your lungs here. but i will get used to it. ;p AND GET MY TAN BACK. :D the weather in melbourne today (yesterday) was great though. sunny, and warm. while waiting for the dandy shuttle i didn't even have to wear a jacket. :O in winter! haha. love it. ;p

i hope yuwan remembers to feed the mice haha.

alvin went off and the rest of us went to hongkong cafe at siglap. had dimsum (not great, except for the lormaifan) and peanut butter toast and kevin kept trying to get us to get the mango ice thing but we were all too full.

kevin and peiyu walked back to kevin's place and sebas drove me home. :) he is quite a safe driver now haha. it felt very foreign being back. i couldn't recognise most of the places he drove through. :\ i don't know how he knows what route to take. i would just get lost here.

so he helped me carry my luggage upstairs (yay for guys) and then did the usual stuff like play with tuna (who is kind of reformed but still a bit edgy), eat some of the macadamias i got for him, use picky to check out camp stuff, get a drink etc. the petrol kiosk we stopped at didn't have icecream, otherwise we'd definitely have had some also. ;p

rong couldn't come because i flew in from melbourne. :( but nevermind. i'll see her at some point. :)

toffee is just as cute and friendly. :D she reminds me of dandenong, the way i can just scoop her out of her cage and play with her without worrying that she'll bite me. except that her balance still isn't great haha. she's less round now so she can move a bit faster. ;p i didn't dare to take the other hamster out, i'll wait till tomorrow to find out if it's nice first. ;p

hmm so sebas went back and i showered and was very happy to find a hairdryer in my old room. also i love one of my sister's bags. i'm going to borrow it someday haha. and maybe her holga too, sebas wants to book me for a week. to go around taking photos. :D he says he'll lend me his dslr while he's at law camp! :D but i'm so lousy at that kind of thing haha.

and we were talking about buying a resort house next time haha. all the plus ones. ;p would be really nice if that actually happens though. :)

sebas wanted to have breakfast tomorrow (today) but i decided i'd be too tired. so we scrapped breakfast and decided to maybe meet to shop tomorrow afternoon. suddenly the holiday doesn't seem that long.

he keeps telling me i am being silly. and he's a lawyer-to-be so he can turn black into white. but anyway. i resolve to enjoy my holiday. :) hope redang materializes. :) and peiyu's choir concert. :) and phuket? haha that one is a bit hard. but oh well. the rest of the catching up and shopping and eating and photo-taking. :)

daddy's cousin's daughter is flying back on the same flight as me and she has flu symptoms, so.. hmm. army said to wear a mask and make sure not to sit near her, but i don't even know what she looks like, so.

it's been a really long day. started off with a pleasant surprise in the form of a wake up call. because i was still asleep at 9+. left home at about 10.25, went to the city. okay we bounced at glen first. happy cup wasn't open yet. nice tshirt. ;p

had lord of the fries. :) euromayo is yum. went to vic mart where i got macadamias. and organic maple syrup, and passionfruit. i never knew passionfruit looked like that on the outside. but they taste really good. :D sour. haha. jam donuts. :)

okay then after that it was kind of bad.

went to myer to look at ipod touches for army. and went to find uncleman too. they were nice and gave us free chips.

sort of had lunch at a sushi burger place. i just leeched. novo! they have it in my sizeeee. but i resisted. next time maybe.

melbourne central, border collies! and coles and soy milk. went back to glen for bubble tea. thank you for helping me bring my stuff back. :)

went back to the city, slept in the train. but people kept calling me so i kept waking up. which was good so i didn't go into an unwakeable stage of sleep heh. went to bigw to get glue etc etc, then went to melb central again to meet charmaine. :) tae and sheryl were already at shanghai village so we went to meet them there.

dinner was not bad. :) was good catching uppp. after what seems like an eternity. talked about all sorts of things like goldfish (who were watching us eat), the dangers of flying qantas and air france, how they should give us life jackets with parachutes, ocular plastic (?) surgeries during the holidays, tae's sister, the latest scandals in mmc etc. haha.

went to max brenner's after that for chocolate pizza! :D mmm. so rich haha. but so gooood. ;p after that tae, sheryl and i took 109 to their place and then they sent me home. :) so nice of them. especially since we got to my place at like 12.40 maybe. :\ thank youuuu.

we missed the tram stop so we had to walk one stop back to their place. remember how the first (and only other) time i went to their place it was the 47 degree day. and now it's like 7 degrees or smth haha. such a vast difference in temperatures.

anyway. the telescope is still not as i would like it to be. but i don't know what to do so i'm going to leave it.

hmm oh today i found out that my 2.5 years has just become 3 years. that is such a long timeeee. :(

exam! i managed to get up on time this morning. ;p amazing. walk to uni. FREEZING.

people like my new coat. ;p

they marked the roll by calling our names. 100 EMQs in 3 hours. kh left after one hour! perryn went to get his bread to eat haha. ;p i left at about 12.15 with kw, iris and john. kw was going "i'm FREEEEEE" ;p haha. i was just shivering.

went to find the person with the exam and blah blah walked out again and bought PERIPERI. :D i'm glad my group didn't arrange any tutes for today. it wouldn't even cross our mind to do that actually. haha. slackers.

came home and had lunch and started making the telescope. ;p i am just procrastinating doing the hardest part now.

charmaine isn't free tomorrow. :( i don't know what's happening! sigh.

thursday!

we have officially made it through the 18 weeks of semester 5. wow.

i woke up late again this morning. but i found out that the radiology lecture was cancelled so it was okay. took the bus to the hospital at 10.46 because i decided that it's too cold nowadays. or maybe i was just lazy.

pbl at 11, we were very disorganised (or rather the tutor was) so we only started at 11.30. and we very nearly held it in zouki too. haha. j and i left at 12 because we had the tute with the resp reg. went through oxygen delivery devices, asthma drugs delivery devices, and dDx of SOB and chest pain.

went grocery shopping. then came home and finished lunch, watched heroes (ugh i know), cooked dinner, had dinner, baked the nutella cheesecake, and showered. and talked a bit.

hmm for some reason i'm reminded of that.. weird that i didn't think of it before. but it's probably good that i hadn't.. :\ rawr.

so it's already 10 and i have yet to study at all today. sigh.


effervescence.

woke up late this morning. 7.40am, and i was supposed to leave the house at 7.45. fortunately jenny was very nice to come and pick me up. then we were both late, but the respiratory lab guy was very nice too. we watched a patient do the tests and then i did spirometry too. ran out of air before the required 6 seconds heh. but surprisingly my lung function is normal. i think i just have very small lungs.

spent some time waiting around after that, then had a tute with a nurse educator on asthma devices and oxygen therapy. got more stuff signed off. then jenny dropped me off at macs. :) so i didn't have to walk! yay.

lunch wasn't too bad, considering it was macs and they have no mcwings. haha. ;p thank you for getting the hot choc. :) examined the neck lump. or tried to.. i still don't think it's a cyst. but i have no idea what it is. :\

walked to hargrave. to supposedly mug. but i just kept complaining. haha. and going crazy. 18 weeks is too long lah. i can't wait anymore. did a fb note in which i had the same answer for too many questions haha. ;p went to find a reasonably good EMQ book. mugged a bit. looked for land to buy. haha. for fun. talked about having two cars and money for the down payment. ;p it has everything to do with you. ;p

went for the path lecture. at first we thought it was just 2 slides. but then he found the right file, sigh. and he kept going until 6.01pm. we were dying. my mind shut off after 5.30, because that's how long a path lecture normally is.. and it has been shorter recently. heh.

back to the library to get my stuff. and waste a bit more time. then walked home. had dinner. and then chunhoong came over and we went through cranial nerve exam, neurological exam of upper and lower limbs, and renal/ urinary history. i was his patient. had to wear SHORTS. omg. almost died. their hands were so cold some more. haha. i just froze.

and yes. i really hate winter. it's been so freezing cold and it's only the beginning of winter. :\ am so happy to be going homeeee.

have to go shopping for macadamias and havis, and some other stuff. skyped with the frog! who was home alone and bored. haha. he called kevin so i got to say hi. ;p and hear the "ehhhhhh where you appear from one!" ;p then sebas went to pick kevin up for supper, sigh. wish i was there! i would so be going for supper too. ;p

two more days! okay actually 1.5. whee.


tuesday.

was going to write the usual long entry. then i decided not to. it was a mostly boring day. slacker than it should have been. and i went for touching heaven. we prayed the Lord's prayer..

talked to people on msn, showered, continued talking, sent a rescue email (which i hope will be a rescue email). am going to sleep.

i hate the weather. it's been raining on and off the whole day. and not just normal rain but heavy torrential ugh rain. apparently it's been hailing too but i never get to see hail.

i remember the second time i saw hail. i was in loyi's room i think, and we climbed up onto the table to look outside haha. the first time i saw hail i was in the vic mart food court, the ceiling was plastic and we could actually see the hail falling on us.. haha.

okay am really tired. can't afford to get up late tomorrow so i hope i don't. also hope the weather clears up because it is freezing, and being wet only makes it worse.

i don't know why i keep fighting back. it's not like there is a point to it really.. it's just that this person is making personal attacks on us. and i cannot just take it without.. doing something. don't know.

oh well. starting the last busy week in a bit. :) the HOLIDAYYY beckons. ;p hahaha. okay i will have to pack first, which will kind of be a disaster. haha. but still. :D

finished my semester in review summary thing. so all i have to do is get more stuff signed off in my logbook and do more reflective stuff. i will probably only think about aroni's assignment in singapore if i get quarantined. :x it feels like a saturday so it's weird to have class tomorrow. :\

i knitted a full 120m of yarn today. the scarf is done except for the finishing it off part, which i have to youtube to do. haha. it's kind of asymmetrical because the first half is a lot uglier than the second half. oh well. first attempt! haha. will go buy more yarn soon. :)

time to sleeeeep. will try to finish my logbook reflective stuff and portfolio reflective stuff tomorrow.



after spending most of the afternoon knitting i think i know how it feels to have arthritis in my fingers. but my scarf is almost long enough now. :) the last stretch has been really nice because i have managed to keep ten stitches in every line and it looks so straight and.. mistake-less. ;p pretty! haha.

hmm today i remembered the sadako film we made in sec 2, in the holding school at commonwealth. i think we'd just watched san gen or something so we were so psyched about making a sadako film and we filmed it in the girls toilet in block A. it had a tap that turned on by itself (intermittently), squeaky toilet stall doors, and of course three of us with hair covering our faces, coming out of the toilet stalls.. haha. the one major flaw was us leaving the tripod in plain sight, haha. oh well. ;p it was fun. i wish i still had that video. ;p

we had dinner with yuwan, chyiwei, hueywen, lingling and jayne. :) then joab came to fetch us and we rushed off for setup. okay only yuwan and i, the rest went home.

setup. had an interesting conversation. hmm i think most of us "normal people" feel the same way. i guess some of the other people don't see it, or they've just lost touch, or maybe they can't be bothered anymore because they're so busy.. and also on the other thing, i want to finish the conversation.. ha and corinna kept poking me and going "talk!" whenever she walked past haha. i was like "what are you doing!" then she said "i'm talking to you!" ;p

i wish people wouldn't belittle my efforts.

on friday.. i had to stop and think for a while. i don't know why i reacted in that way. kind of scary.. i'm sorry. :(

came home and made church lunch. i don't like eggs that stick to their shell. and we used up all the dijonaise, oh well. haven't been using it anyway. so that was good. :)

monday is a holiday because of the queen's birthday. i think i might have mentioned this before. but. :) tuesday is our "go forth and get our logbook signed off" day, as declared by lachie. wednesday lectures have been cancelled as well so we can get stuff signed off then too. but we have to squeeze resp tutes in. and our pbl. so hopefully the other days aren't too busy. last week. can't believe we've already finished 16 weeks. that is long.

okay this has been very time consuming haha. back to work. ;p
