today was freezing. :O yuwan and i were running up and down the road while waiting for steven to pick us up from church. ;p then we went to hide in rusden house building c. escape from the wind. heh.
the sermon today was about friendship and being friends with Jesus. and there was mention about betrayal of trust and pain and hurt and building walls. and forgiveness and trust.
went for 14C CDS class taught also by pastor. whom i realised today knows a lot of interesting sciency stuff. :D it's cool. i'm still waiting for the human evo bit (since taylors).
was going to walk to hargrave to email the biblio out but i met wanjie along the way and she let me into the farrer comp lab. :) <3
uni reopens tomorrow for everyone else. it feels like it's only reopening tomorrow for me too. more hours starting this week because of cbp. :\
i realised i've been seeing things from a very one-sided point of view. not that there has been much opportunity to see things from a different pov; it's difficult when you just don't know and no one tells you. but yes you try, with the little you have to work with.

back from brisbane! :)
shall not really blog about convention because i have to think about it properly first. also because i was very tired most of the time so i spent a lot of time falling asleep/ trying to keep awake. :\ so for now, just the superficial bits that are easy to ramble about.
the bus ride there took forever. 24 hours with stops every 4 hours. sang a bit and talked a bit and slept a lot. but we woke up like every hour so it wasn't that great. arrived there early, and aunty pansy treated a bunch of us for dinner.

guess who i met at convention! jeremy chen! haha. was quite a surprise because i didn't know he joined hope brisbane when he went to queensland to study. anyway it was good catching up with him a bit. :)
during our free time on saturday we went to southbank (yes brisbane has a southbank too), and walked through a bit of the lifestyle market. they have an artificial beach! ;p so cool. haha. oh yes. i forgot to mention that the weather in brisbane was ohh so nice. warm. all the melb people were swooning over it. ;p
and on sunday we went to southbank again, and crossed the river to the city! didn't take the ferry though. walked through one of the shopping streets (practically everything was closed because it was easter sunday), then adrian brought us to the botanic gardens, where we took some very random photos. haha. then walked through some uni and back to the greek convention centre.
i'm sad that i didn't get to see the horses at the frederick marsden youth centre where we stayed. :(
the bus ride back seemed to take a lot shorter than the ride there. at one point everyone really needed to pee badly and we started singing like westlife and backstreet boys songs haha. it was really quite funny. and loud. so much so that it irritated people and we had to stop after that.. heh. slept while watching movies, sang a bit more towards the end of the trip, played boggle.
i got to bring john home. ;p

was really (really really) dreading arriving back in clayton because that means i have to do spc. it's also more stressful knowing that everyone else has already completed their parts of the written summary. and annotated biblio. but oh well. have to mug tomorrow! the last day of the holiday. :(

ohh i got accepted to work at lifeline as my cbp placement, meaning i'll start training this coming tuesday. that's pretty exciting i think. ;p although it's also scary. and time consuming.. ha. but i do think it's a good placement. no more free tuesdays from now on.. i'll be in the heart of the city. ;p
am wondering what to do for the rest of today. slack! haha. there isn't much left of it anyway.
there are always new things to get used to.

a guy from our year passed away on tuesday. :\
he was in a car accident on sunday morning and was in icu.
we had a minute's silence in between two lects for him today.
i didn't know him, i still don't really know who he is, was, i haven't seen a face.
but like. it's so scary, so sudden, and it just hits you. you know?
like one day you're here and the next you're not.
and he was so young.

applied for internet but i can't find the modem cd, have no idea what i'm going to do. hopeless at such things. (am also koping someone else's internet now. from home! heh) sigh how am i going to make this work. it's already been 1.5 months without internet. and i don't understand why msn doesn't work.
went to glen waverly for dinner with charmaine, mavis and yuwan. :) ate at rock kung! and dinner was really good. haha. thanks for the treat babe. ;p went to safeway afterwards and bought a lot of bread. haha. then we all rushed to the bus stop to catch the last bus back.
also spent some time reading a book yuwan says she cannot read.. but i read with a lot of skepticism. heh. i suppose when you're used to things always being backed up by evidence it's hard to just believe things that aren't..
off to brisbane tomorrow afternoon. :D so fast. zepeng was asking me what notes i'm bringing to study. ha. i haven't done spc.. :\ although i have extended deadlines (my groupmates are nice and understanding that way).
i guess there are naturally some people you feel safe talking to about certain things, without what you say being discounted. but then one day you realise that oh, it isn't safe, not at all. sometimes the very fact that you have to say things in your defense makes you want to just shut up. hurr. later i end up calling lifeline myself.i'm smarting.oh and i forgot to mention how thankful i am that one of my neighbours has unprotected wireless internet. it's been nice talking to people on msn today. :) something i haven't been doing for the past 1.5 months. reading blogs and checking email at home. something i took for granted, yet managed to live without pretty decently. ah the internet isn't everything is it. although it is still nice to have it of course. ;)

it's like back to summer again. yesterday it reached 40deg. :O and we had steamboat at cg haha. ;p but it was nice anyway. had cheesecake and mudcake and icecream for dessert! :D super fattening, but very satisfying. haha. although i was dead tired from the week.
on tuesday i have an interview! :\ a group interview, which is even scarier than an individual interview. bleah. for my placement this year i'm going to learn to be a telephone counsellor. which i think is cool, except that i have to start 3 weeks earlier than everyone else (okay the 12 of us have to), and on top of that we have to put in 100 hours of volunteer service. :O i just hope no one gets suicidal on me. :\
been waking up at 7 every day. went to clayton town early this morning to get apples etc. we thought ivy would reach at 10 but she reached at 9 instead. :p haha. had group shepherding, made apple crumble, had lunch, and i'm now at the library supposed to be doing anat pract. but ivy already told yuwan the answer is either a fractured rib or pe. and we happen to be doing the same tasks, so. :p
going for ian sam calvin's housewarming party this evening. :)
i haven't studied anything. !! although i'm very relieved to say that this year's weekly anat workload is a lot less than last year's. have to set spc deadlines too..
it's so hot that even in the library i'm melting. :( can't imagine how they can play tennis in this sort of weather.. but i'll drop by to say hi later. ;p

it's the last day of the second week of uni. :)
i realised this morning that i haven't really studied much the entire two weeks. :(
AND i am academically at risk! rawr.
so i want to devote the whole of tomorrow to study.
although i don't know if it's possible.
i'm too busy learning to be a housewife to study. !!
yes we've been cooking a lot.
and i still want to bake banana muffins soon. :D

i've decided to go home later (15 dec earliest) in case i have to sit further assessments at the end of the year. that means i will most probably miss the family holiday to phuket. :( which is really sad because i've been wanting to go there since forever. :( :( i want a holidaaaay. rawr.
on a brighter note. i want to get a country road bag haha. to bring to brisbane. :D OC is like 2 weeks away! so cool. haha. although the 24-hour bus ride is a bit.. daunting. plus the fact that we only get one proper day out of the one week holiday. haha. and midsem exam on 16th april!
ha premature stressing. although i think i'm a lot less stressed than i was a week ago. at least i went for pcl today. ;p haha. and my clinical skills tutor is very cute and she explains things a lot which helps. ;p
okay i have to go home and bake chicken wings (see. housewife-ish). spent like half of the lecture hour in the lib already (lecturer was absent). byebyeee.

haven't been there in a long while.
but anyway. summer's gone, and autumn's here.
it's been warm the past few days though. :) so nice.
not having internet is inconvenient.
charmaine and mavis are moving out tomorrow.
if their agent isn't cheating them again. haha.
tomorrow is another holiday. :)
although i have to stay at home and wait for the telstra people to come.
weds chaddy is having a VIP sale! :D
lessons end at 5 but the sale's on until 10. haha.
besides, i have to return the redundant wireless router.
and then of course there is all the studying..
i keep complaining to everyone how when i wake up and go outside to the living room there will always be 3 people with their noses buried in books. so stressful. haha.
end of year further assessments will be held in the week commencing 8 dec. don't know when i'll be able to go home. or if i'll have to fly to phuket directly from here. :\
i'm going to get the black w910i. :D my sister's phone. although after using it today i'm having second thoughts. haha. i have to wait for the bank statement anyway. and i still have credit.
