Skating to the finish

This is the last of my Splitcoast Christmas Card Challenge for the month.  I committed to 3 per month. Some signed up for as many as 12 per month. Yikes!  I guess I will always be an amateur.

The skates and the sentiment are digis from Whimsie Doodle.  I colored the skates with Copics and added some Stickles to the berries.  The frame was done with the Silhouette Cameo. I also used some red liquid pearls for the berries and some white 3D paint.

No doubt, I will wait Until March 30th or 31st, to get my next 3 out.

Confession

Well, you know how I am always apologetic about neglecting my blog and my fellow bloggers? And how I'm always blaming one situation or another?  All are legit excuses, but I thought I would share a rather typical construction of  this card.

So, I've got my image stamped and colored and I think I want to use ribbon on the card, which I haven't done in a while.  I get my pretty blue ribbons out and it makes me think about a video I saw making a rose with ribbon and I think I will give it a try.

That kinda made me hungry for a little snack and I remember the can of cashews. Now I'm thirsty so back to the kitchen for some ice water. While I'm there I think I should also make some coffee.
Now I'm back in my room and I cannot find that snowflake die I had laid out, and look for that for about 10 minutes, before I  decide I really need to organize and start cleaning. A 1/2 hour later my desk is clean and I've found the die. Okay, back to the card.  I will often us the back of a completed card to help me lay everything out.   I've made my decision and have picked the sentiment, tested it on scrap paper, and it stamped beautifully.  Then I realized.. I have just stamped on the back of a finished card. @#$%, Well, that will have to be fixed.

I finally finish and it's not perfect (like me).  Do you see any ribbon on this card?  My desk is once again a mess, and I have a full cup of cold coffee.

This is one of my commitments for a Splitcoast Christmas Card Challenge.

High Hopes, Santa
Stampendous, Sentiment
3D Paint on the hats and beards
Spellbinders label and snowflake dies
Prisma Pencil and Gamsol.

Remember Me?

It's been almost 2 weeks since my last post.  I need some inspiration, so I will be doing some blog hopping.
Getting back in the groove isn't easy for me.  I chose this stamp from Skipping Stones to help me get started.

I colored this Skipping Stones butterfly with Copics and then covered it with Diamond Glaze and popped it up under the wing.  I added some pearls to the wing and placed the butterfly on this branch which I cut with my Silhouette Cameo. The boarder was also cut with the Cameo and was suppose to have leaves in the the lover right corner, but I edited it out, and used the sentiment from Kaiser Craft.

I have a lot of cards that need to be made this weekend. Hopefully I can get some inspiration from my friends.

Less is More is 1 year

Congratulations to Less is Moore Challenge blog.  I've only been play along for a few months, and was so surprised to learn that they are so new. They have a huge following and fan base.  These two ladies,Chrissie and Mandi  have worked very hard to make it a success.  They have commented on every one of my entries, and introduced to me, via their blog to an array of amazing talent.  And as I speak of talent, let me say that both Chrissie and Mandi come up with some the most amazing and unique cards I've seen.  Stop by their blogs and see their beautiful cards.

We'd love you to display our banner

This weeks challenge is the color aqua. Here is a Hero Arts entry colored with Copics, shaded with Prisma  pencils and accented with Stickles. What a pretty bouquet!

Happy Birthday, LIM!

Pilot Run

This is my first attempt creating a card using just my new Silhouette Cameo. I am so in love with this amazing machine.  If your wondering why I haven't been by to say hi and leave a comment, it's because my new toy just keeps calling "FEED ME"!

There you have it... Silhouette Cameo.

I am entering this in Less Is More Challenge Week 52 Scetch.
