LeVain Boulangerie Patisserie

Went to dine in this pastry, or so call Bakery shop today with my high school girls. Its a nice place and I am kind of shocked that this kind of shop actually located near the Golden Triangle, KL.

This is the front view of the restaurant. N the name of the shop, is LEVAIN. We went there on a saturday afternoon, therefore the shop was so pack today.

From what i have gotten from the internet. It seems that this shop is famous of their stove oven baked breads. They have varieties of breads here for customers to dine in or even take away. The shop is operating on a self service basis and no service charge is required upon payment.

Hence, when you first enter the shop, you just need to grab a tray n pick up some breads that u prefer and queeue at the counter to pay. Upon making payment at the counter, you could add on some main dish or drinks according to the menu listed on their board, which is loacted behind the counter. And after making the payment, you just need to grad your tray and start looking for a place to seat. Its a two storey bungalow shop lots, and mayb due to the crowd, some tables are left unclean that day. And I actually saw many customers start cleaning their own table so that they could get a clean table to settle down.

Mushroom Creamy soup, I supposed its the soup of the day. It only cost RM 5.90 which I think its quite worth the price. The soup is rich of cream, mushrooms n cheese. Compared to those soups served at some places which taste enhancer is added in,this taste is much more original n worth trying!

Walnut bread. This bread is really special to me, but the only things is that the sugary lining on top taste kind of sweet to me.

Mango tart that is really cheesy on the top and have several pieces of mango in it. I really love this. N I shall rank this as MUST TASTE item =)

A piece of $4.90 chicken pizza would be a good choice before u start on ur main course.

Finally, the bolognese spaghetti or mayb a creamy mushroom pasta will be a nice dish to fill up ur stomach. $9.90 which makes it really worthy and the taste of this spaghetti can really be compared to the others served outside.

So in all, this is really a nice palce to hang out with ur mates to have a high tea or chatting session. There also serve breakfast here, and maybe it will be a good place to spend time at. The leisure, comfy atmosphere companied by varieties of bread and other dishes will definitely fill you with different dining experience. Do drop by here if you are about to enter the golden triangle.

Here is a website link that have more detailed description about this place.

Yen's Family Getaway, Bali ~ Day 3

Turtle Park in Bali. My first time touching n taking picture with a huge turtle n oso baby sea turtle. Sea turtle love us tickling them at their chin =)

This turtle is at the age of 52, and it weighs more than 10kg. U can tell it is heavy form my face expression XD

The adorable baby turtle =)

A temple built, owned, n managed by one of the royal family in Bali. This shows the third phase of the Hindu temple. Towers with 11 layer of roofs signify the 11 different level in Hindu philosphy.

One of the icon of Bali. It is lcoated in the middle of a lake up the hill. Its lcoation really amazed me.

Tanah Lot temple. It is located by the sea n up on the cliff. It was almost high tide when we were there, so we were not able to walk over to the temple. However, only people who want to do prayers are allow to enter the temple up the cliff. The scenery of this temple is truly beautiful too.

9th of February. Its my little sis birthday. We managed to get her a pice of cake n celebrate for her at the Hard Rock Cafe. Happy 15th Birthday, my sis =)

After the mini birthday celebration, we headed to Made Warung to taste the typical Balinese food. We were told that this is a famous place for tourists to taste the local Bali delicacy.
Made means the second son in a family, it is similar to the usage of Along in Malaysia.
And this Made warung is located around Kuta Square and 10minutes walk from the Hard Rock Hotel of Bali.

In short, the whole trip to Bali was fascinating and of a different experience n exposure.
Its not a trip for a week or more, and its also not a trip to far away countries. However, if u were to aks me how this trip was, I will surely tell u that this place is worth going. I am a man of my words =)

Yen's Family Getaway, Bali ~ Day 2

The Lion like creature, Barong. Balinese believe its a monster.

At Celuk Village. People doing Silver Art and all of their silver jewelries were all hand made.
It doesnt attract me much cos their silver were all mixed with bronze n that makes it less shiny n less attractive to me. But anw, its a great exposure to observe this.

Batuan Village where the paintists there shwo their skills. We were really impressed by their talent.

BatuBulan village. Village of Wooden art. This is one of their product. Wooden carved train.

The hill beside us, its the semi-active volcano-Mount Agung. It last erupted around 40 years ago.
People now dig the larva left from the volcano eruption to build concrete buildings.

Drop by at a coffee plantation. This is a wolf that they call, Luwak.
This wolf smells like Jasmine and it eats coffee beans. The coffe Beans from their shit will be well cleaned and sell as Luwak Coffee. This coffee is one of the most expensive coffe sold in the world. And we managed to order a cup of this to taste. It really have a special aroma n tatste that amazed me.

On the left is what Balinese known as Male Coffee. The coffee beans are in fine rounded shape. Coffee made out of this will taste much thicker. And yeah without doubt, the one on the right is the Female coffee. Its cheaper and thinner taste compared to the male one. And for female coffee beans, they r semi rounded n looks only like half of the bean size.

Holy Spring Temple, which have in total 21 holes flowing out the srping water. Every holes flows out different spring waters that believe to have the power n magic to perform different functions. Such as to sprinkles in a new house to cleanse it and so on. Balinese will usually do rituals or prayers here n wash themselves with spring water from all 21 holes.

Dinner at Jimbaran, a small village that have many restaurants along the seaside.
Barbeque seafood was served that night. Having dinner with the strong sea wind welcoming us is really my first time n it is definitely memorable!

Finally back to the hotel. Picture of me posing with the so called sign board of Hard Rock. As i said earlier, hard rock hotel is really creative in every single detail stuff in the hotel. Furnitures, deisgns, lightings and all. They are really good in it =)

Yen's Family Getaway, Bali ~ Day 1

On the plane of Air Asia. Capturing the landscape of Bali Island from the sky view

Cliff view of Uluwaut Temple. Many monkeys r trained there to snatch tourist's specs. Beware of that.
Here was our first stop in Bali, n guess what? I saw a hot guy who looks like Zac Efron.
But too bad. The lady with him wasnt Vanessa Hudgens =p

The Bird Garuda and the god statutelocated in GWK cultural park. There were splitted since 10 years ago, as the govermnet werent able to finance the construction of this "future to be highest statute".

The hotel that we stayed for the 4 days 3 nights. Hard Rock Hotel, Bali.

This was rated as one of the five stars hotel by the seaside. The services n rooms in the hotel are beyond awesome. And due to the bomb incident occured here back in 2004, they are enforcing tight security here. Cars n bags who need to enter the hotel will all have to go through torough scanning.

And one thing that I must emphasize is the pool of this hotel. The pool of hard rock hotel, Bali occupies half of the area of the whole hotel. The pool just simply looks like a paradise. I am going to rate this as the best pool that i had swam in ever. The sand island located in the middle of the pool is just so special. Slides and surf board fountain, everything is just so unique.

Btw Balinese call this hotel as the place of entertainment. Simply because everynight at the centre stage of the hotel, there will be band performing. And these performaces will be broadcast live to every tv in the hotel, so guest will be able to watch the performance even in their room. Besides that, they will ahve some special perofrmance there everynight. Performances that I had seen while I was staying there was the fashion show of swimsuits that were sponsored by some company. Women models dressed in bikinis n guyz wore swimming trunks n walk a long the runway, which is the bar desk. The other performance will be the hot dance on the stage above the centre stage. Well, what I can say is that Hard Rock Hotel is just so happening everynight, n they alwyz wants to fill their guest void with all sorts of entertainments. Do stay in here if u happen to travel to Bali. U will definitely love it loads!

Happy Bunny Year

Time really flies. The last time i blog was during the new year. And now with a blink of eye, its the lunar new year already. And what more, valentine is in two more days. Well, my life has been quite happening lately. Events n things to do list are arranged bump to bump without much time left in between. After all I had also started working since december 27th and had only quit the job on the week right before new year eve.

So since january, the day when my brother flew back from australia, 30th Januray 2011. The day followed by prayers held at the cemetry to settle the tombstone of grandma. Then its cityday, which is also a family day for us. We travelled to Ulu Yam to go for nice food and leisure time by the water dam and waterfall. Next day, its the reunion dinner dy. And followed by the Chinese New Year celebrations back in hometown. Then  on the 7th of Feb 2011. Our whole family took off to have our first family vacation abroad in Bali. We were only back in Malaysia on the 10th of Feb 2011. And the next night, we once again travelled back to the hometown to attend the pre-wedding buffet dinner of my dear cousin sister. After putting a night there, the next day i gota wake up early in the morning to get prepared and become Jimui for my cousin sister, the bride of the day.

So, here is the brief description of my life on how i ended the first month of 2011, how i started it, and still how is it ongoing up to date. Its kind of busy but I am glad that everyday are fully filled with events that makes my life meaningful and unforgettable. Every day that i go through makes me grow up a little more again. Thanks for the life =)

P/s:  Will update on my Bali trip at here soon. More pictures n norms to share!
