Summer Fun!

The end of May right after graduation Scott's parents were so kind in letting us move in with them for the summer until we knew if we would be moving off to school or finding a job until we could apply again next year. It was so nice to be out of The Apartments. The kids had a little taste of heaven with a backyard for most the summer! We had a great time spending it in the fresh air and sunshine. Believe it or not I really missed doing yard work so that was great! Grandma Hess bought the kids these cute little wheelbarrows so the kids would have fun in helping do yard work. They loved them! They were filled throughout the summer with many things (sticks, fruit that had fallen of trees, weeds...etc) We enjoyed teaching the boys hard work in the dirt! They loved it at first but after a few weeks they figured out that they would much rather go play by themselves than work. I was okay with that also. In the apartment there was no space for any of us to do our own thing. As soon as the boys eyes opened and their bellies were full they would run outside to play. In their Jammie's of course! Overall we had a fantastic summer!

Taking a ride                                          Good Helpers!                                Breaking the sticks to fit

They had a great big play set in the backyard with swings, a slide, sandbox, picnic table, a Fort, rock wall, and monkey bars! They LOVED it! Swinging was their favorite! Collin learned how to pump himself. I was so very happy with this new learned skill so he could just go and do it himself anytime he wanted! Josh tried really hard to learn. Maybe in another year!

Josh had all the space he could ask for to play sports and Collin could run around and be crazy without everyone yelling at him to calm down! Collin was doing somersaults for the camera!

Grandma and Grandpa bought a giant tarp and paving stones to lay out in the garden area so we                                                 could get this fun little pool! They had a great time in it.

Cousins came to join them for some water fun!

Scott's Grandparents came to visit from Oregon. They had never met Joshua. Josh was full of many things to say to them! The boys both loved talking to them and getting to know them a little. Grandpa Duane played some baseball with Joshua! It was so great to see them. Missing them a lot!

Collin and Josh absolutely LOVE their uncle Greg and his motorcycle of course! I love these pictures. They each got to take turns riding around the grass in the backyard for a little while. When Greg would come over they wouldn't leave him alone. He would fill their little heads with all kinds of crazy things....like his motorcycle is a Transformer but they can never see it transform because it doesn't like them.......and Big Foot is real ( he would show them pictures). Every time he saw them he would make up some wild thing to tell them about and they believed every word of it! Very good times with Uncle Greg. They miss him lots.

My sister Heidi and I took the kids to the Roy Aquatic Center. I love this water park! It is a great price and has lots to do and lots of space so you never feel crowded! Collin and Josh loved going down the twisty slide you can see in the background. We were there for like 5 hours and we still had to drag them out of the water so we could go home for dinner.
We left Grandma Mel some lovely art work! They found some Chalk in the garage so I taught them how to play Hopscotch! Collin was pretty good at it!
For Mothers day Scott has made the tradition to let me pick out flowers for my pots. We decided to try out another hibiscus tree. We managed to kill the last one we had because we didn't take care of it correctly through the winter. It was so fun to enjoy these beautiful flowers for a couple weeks. Sad we had to leave it behind.
They are as big as their heads!           Lots more flowers than the last one we had!

They got bikes for Easter but we kept them at Grandma and Grandpa's house so they were so excited to be able to ride them whenever they wanted because we lived there! PJ's and dirty faces! Livin the good Life!

We got the chance to go and see my family in Enterprise!

We were all there! All 30 of us!
I Love having a Big Family even though we all are a little CRAZY!
Grandma and all the Grand kids!

My kids love to go to Grandma Hess' house. I hardly even see them the entire time we are there because there is so many cousins to keep them entertained! It also helps that she has a super fun backyard. She recently put a Splash pad and play set in! They also love the fun outdoor toys to play with and ride on!

Last but not least we can't forget our trip to the Hogle Zoo thanks to my hair client!

What a great summer we have had! Memories that will last a life time! This post is making me miss Utah but I am so grateful that I have these pictures to see and remember the good times we had before we moved!

Graduation

Lets Start Here .........Scott Graduated from Weber State University!  We are so excited that Scott completed his Bachelor's! At this point we were still waiting to hear from most of the 6 school's that he had applied to the PhD program. He is attending a school now but none of the 6 he originally applied for. That story will come later! I couldn't be more excited and proud of him for all the hard work and time he put into completing this degree while still taking the time to love and care for me and our boys!
Proud Parents
We got his diploma in the mail right before we moved! What a great piece of paper to receive!
Hope he will have this experience for real someday!

After graduation we went out to lunch with Scott's parents then came home and crashed on the couch for about 4 hours! We were all exhausted! After dinner we decided sense the boys wouldn't be going to sleep anytime soon that we should celebrate by going to the drive-in theater!
They were soooo excited!
This was them after the movie....yeah they were still wide awake and wild!
So we went and rented a movie from red box and did a sleepover in the living room. They stayed up for that entire movie also! Finally we just had to turn off all the lights and say enough is enough so they would close their little eyes and go to sleep! What an exciting day for all of us!
