Super Hero and Sugery

I love these three guys! They are the joy in my life everyday! Collin and Josh love their daddy so much and demand much of his attention!

Scott will take little breaks from his school work and come downstairs to play with the boys for a few minutes. It usually consists of them wrestling around and playing bad guys and super hero's!
Super Collin fighting off the bad guy!

Not sure who is winning at this point but Collin was screaming at me to put his cape back on so he was a super hero again! I think it ended with Collin getting thrown onto the couch! What fun times he has with his daddy! I usually just sit back and watch. Occasionally I become safe base and end up getting plowed over!! Oh what fun it is to have a house of boys!

Surgery

So I think I cursed Josh......when Collin was a baby he always had weird medical things happen to him it seemed. He had a cyst on his head that he had to get removed and he had a rectal abscess that he almost had to have surgery on. Those are the two main weird ones that we went through but he never had a simple thing like an ear infection. Well then josh was born and had RSV and he also got a rectal abscess. Well by this point I was saying...why can't my kids just have normal sicknesses like a common cold or an ear infection.........Well I guess you get what you ask for. Josh has had ear infections sense October and had been on about 5 antibiotics but they just weren't clearing up. We took him to an ear specialist where we decided on getting tubes put in. So last week we took our sweet little baby in for surgery. Thankfully it was quick and easy and hopefully it will take care of the simple ear infection that i apparently asked for!
They gave him this horse. He loves giving it cuddles!

I wish I recovered this quickly! He is always such a happy little guy!

Sledding

We haven't had much snow this year and of course Santa decided to give Collin a sled! We were finally able to use it a couple of times and Collin LOVED it!

This is Josh's favorite spot to sit! He gets in it about ten times a day.

We went sledding with a bunch of friends on a Saturday morning! I love that we have great hills just down the street from our apartment!

Collin and Lilly Hamblin making the climb back up

Collin on his new sled!

We got some more snow so I decided to take the boys out by myself on another day!

Josh standing so big but unable to move without face planting! He hates his snow clothes because he can't move well.

The bad part......once you go down you have to pack it back up.

He started crawling because he was so tired! It's a big hill for a little guy. I had to go down and help a couple of times. I got my workout for the day.

Scott stopped by on his way to class to watch the fun. It was perfect sledding conditions that day...warm and sunny and the snow had lots of water to it so it made for a nice slick path.

My brilliant idea.......I thought it would be fun to send the boys down together and I would catch them at the bottom. Well I didn't realize just how slick the path really was. As they came closer and closer to me they were flying. I should have let them go and just slow down on their own but no I attempted to stop them.....they were going so fast that they took my legs out from under me and we all went flying into the snow!!! The boys were covered from head to toe and both crying their little eyes out. Needles to say we were done!

After the tears were done we headed to play in Corbin's backyard! It was a fun snow day and we hope to have more!

1 Year Old!

It is way to overwhelming to catch up on all the pictures that I have missed posting so I am just going to start here!

JOSHUA is 1 Year Old!!

He started the day by waking up with some balloons to play with! He loved them and so did Collin!

That evening we headed to Grandma and Grandpa's house to open presents and eat cake

He was so funny. He kept putting the movie to his mouth and yelling. He loved opening the presents! I think Collin opened maybe one on his 1st birthday and then was done. Josh opened all of them by himself for the most part and enjoyed it all!

We gave him these sensory balls that he loved packing around!

My wonderful sister Heidi took time out of her crazy busy schedule and made josh this super cute cake! She also made him a little round one to have all for himself! Thanks Heidi!!!

He loved when everyone was singing Happy Birthday to him.

So I was highly disappointed in the cake eating part.......When Collin turned one I really wanted that kid that dug right in and made a huge mess but that didn't happen. Collin has always been my picky eater but not Josh so I was really counting on him to dig right in. As you can see by the picture below he was not thrilled about sticking his hands in it. Dad tried to show him but the look on his face says it all. He kept poking one finger at it and pulling this nasty face

So Scott decided to give him a taste. We thought for sure when he realized it was yummy he would want it more. Nope he stuck his tongue right out and let it fall off.

He kept using his foot to push himself away from the table. That made me laugh! He really wanted nothing to do with it!

So I decided to give him a spoon. That did the trick!! Crazy mom what was I thinking.... of course you need a spoon to eat!! I guess that is what I get for trying to teach my kids to use utensils to eat instead of there fingers!!!

Our little Cheeser!!

He had had enough. He pushed it away and was done! I absolutely LOVE this little guy! He is at such a fun age right now! He always has a smile for me every day! Happy Birthday Joshua!
