This year has been very eventful and we are excited to share our memories with you. We will be married for 4 years in January and the time has just flown by. We are still very much in love and we are learning more and more about each other everyday. July 31st, 2007 was a very special time in our lives as we welcomed the new arrival or our son Carter Chad Platt into the world. He has brought so much joy into our lives and we know many of yours as well.
CHAD
The past year for me has been challenging and yet rewarding. I have gained both cherished friendships and knowledge that will stay with me for a lifetime. When we first moved to Pullman in 2006, I was called to be a gospel doctrine teacher for our ward. Although the calling was extremely challenging, I often learned more than those I was teaching. In May 2008, I will graduate with my Bachelors Degree in Agricultural Technology and Management. I am excited to share with you that I have also accepted a job offer with AgriNorthwest in the Tri-City area. I will begin work there in the spring and I am excited for the new challenge of being a provider for my family.
JERICA
I have been very busy to say the least. Currently, I am on a wonderful and much needed break from work. I am officially a stay at home mom and I love it. I resigned from my position as a personal banker in July and it was definitely a change for the better. Now my days are filled with dirty diapers, feedings, nap times, and of coarse the most important smiles and giggles. Although I am busy with everyday life, I consciously try to make time for the gospel and my Savior, Jesus Christ. For the past year, I was given the opportunity to be the 2nd counselor in the Relief Society in our ward. It has been an amazing experience as I have developed a great love for the sisters in our ward. As we have to say goodbye to close friends this spring, I hope they will all know that I will cherish this special time in my life forever.
CARTER
Although Carter can’t talk, he still has a lot to say. He is adorable, fun loving, eager to learn, and growing like a weed. He was 8 lbs 12 oz when he was born and he hasn’t stopped growing. During his 4 month appointment, he weighed just under 18 lbs and 26 inches long. He is laughing, giggling, rolling over, and trying to eat anything in sight. As he is getting older, he is developing quite the personality. We think his temper comes from the Platt side and his attitude from the Herruds. Although he can be a handful at times, he is a blessing in our lives and we love every minute of it.
We send our love to you all this Holiday Season!
