Taking a Personal Day

I finally declared a P-Day. Dan and the kids said they would "take care of EVERYTHING" (ha ha). I have been waiting for this day for a looooooong time. For Mother's Day 2009 I received a card good for one day ALL to myself. I am FINALLY redeeming my coupon. So far things have gone pretty well. I have to laugh though. It is 10:30 am and Dan has just said "I haven't even had breakfast this morning!" Welcome to MY world.

So here I sit..catching up on blogging/scrapbooking. I am not even sure where to begin. I have forgotten how to do a lot of this. It is going to be quite a catch up on the last 8 months.

I know you are all dying to see how much the babies have grown. I can't believe how much they have grown. Sophie is already starting to walk. Even though the last 8 months have been hard..really hard, I wouldn't have changed anything. It has been so fun having these twins. Dan and I have relaxed A LOT since our first baby. Sorry Tawni. It must be our old age. Dan and I are taking it all in.

Grandma Platt returned home from her mission in Peru
My Mom retired from 25 years of teaching Elementary School
Moving Day--Chickens and ALL
We loved the looks we received on the freeway :)
We also moved from Highland back to our home in Spanish Fork. Oh my...this has not been easy. The kids did not like the move. They are adjusting better now. It has also been hard to fit 9 people into a home that should really only fit 6..maybe. We got rid of a lot of "stuff".

Canyon trips--Cheap and Easy
Lagoon-pretty much a given
Visiting with AZ and OH Family
Shooting for the First Time--I did pretty well
Halloween
Poor Baby --Sarah fractured her ankle
For awhile Sarah had been favoring her leg. We took her into have an x-ray and the doctor couldn't really see anything so he had the radiologist look at it. After about a week the doctor called back and said "Yes" there was a fracture by her ankle. Right where I thought something was wrong. So here she is in a cast for 2 weeks. She is getting around pretty well.

*Tawni Received her YW Medallion

**We also did 2 Girls Camps and 2 Scout Camps-exhausting

***Everyones birthday in between

So there you have it. It has taken me a full day to do this blog. WOW!! I guess I am good to go for another 8 months.

Just Waiting , , , ,

For nothing to happen. I have seen my doctor and he said that I am pretty much ready to have these babies. We are just waiting for some hard labor contractions to start. That scares me. I think I am in denial about having these babies. It can't be time already. I really wanted to make it until February. I am not sure that is going to happen. It makes me a bit sad that I have made it this far and will miss my goal by 4 days. I am very thankful that things have gone so well, so far. So, here I sit hoping that nothing happens for a little bit longer. I will update more when something significant happens. Holding out for 4 more days!!!

Our year at a glance . . . so far!!

I haven't been able to blog as much as I would have liked this past year. Well, since finding out we are having TWINS I am required to do a little more down time than I would like, especially since I have about 10 (could be 8) weeks left. The babies are doing well. They are about 2 and a half pounds. The next ultrasound will be in about 2 weeks.

July: I took the kids and followed my mom and dad to visit my sister in Arizona.

We also spent some time at Lagoon

My Mom and Dad celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary.
Went to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Dedication.
Went to a cousin reunion.
August: Tawni played soccer. At one game it went into sudden death overtime and she made the winning goal.

The kids went down a natural waterslide in Alpine.

Dan celebrated his 40th birthday. Tawni celebrated her 14th birthday. October: Abby celebrated her 2nd year. Spencer played flag football. Spencer turned 9. Halloween November: Spencer's Pinewood Derby Tyler turned 12. 28 weeks pregnant. So, that is some of what has happened this year so far. The babies are due in February, so I will be very busy after that.
