I've moved on to 2009. =)

my lappy is really running dead. Im going to reformat it later on. Theres so much i wanted to blog. But blogging using a mobile isnt really my style. So do pardon me, =/

I felt more relax since school reopen. I guess its because im too occupied during the holidays. Its all about working or projecting in the day and getting out at night. Now that holidays are over, theres not much responsibilities regarding work so i am able tp get more sleep.

Practical test is managable, all thanks to mates who stay back till 8pm to mug on the practise together. Haha. I haven get to meet them in the holidays and its still so fun crapping and making fun of each other. Lol.

Headed to popular with scm mates and did our popular interview again. We were lucky though, the first call provided us with most of the information we need for our project. We are all so sick of using our hot face to slap their cold butts. Lolol. Had waffle ice crean after that before headed to get nic's bday presso.

Bused home to drop my stuffs before heading to cwp to meet miss piggy. Shes thick skin enough to let me wait for an hour. Zzzz. Ran an errand for dad while waiting for her. Im kind of a little secretary for d and mi. thats why i constantly remind them how lucky they are to create my life. Lol. Pig got her mobile and down to orchard to meet pm and sia. pm me and ly got the same dress. I guess i might just make it do for my cny, though its kind of too black.

Downtown-ed on friday for the warehouse sale. Xy didnt get to buy anything despite being the one who initiated the trip. Didnt get to eat our waffle buffet too. The food at the stalls outside cheers really cannot make it. Thanks ah XY for being late.

After much pursuading, Peh finally agreed to watch BOLT with me. Pearlyne was held up for party and she gave the ticket to Pm. There, i told u girls that its a nice movie isnt it? Bleahs. & stubborn ngo die die dont want to join us. =S

Alcohol Intolerance:
It is an adverse reaction to the ingestion of alcohol caused by a deficiency of the enzyme Aldehyde Dehydrogenase (ALDH) that is needed to metabolise the alcohol into acetic acid (vinegar). Alcohol unless broken down is toxic to our body. An immediate immune response is triggered and symptoms typical to an allergy occur trying to get rid of the toxins.

Causes
Most foods consumed need to be broken down and metabolised by enzymes once in our body. While some are digested in the stomach and small intestine before entering our blood system to be carried to their appropriate location, others are easily absorbed into the blood via the gastro intestinal track.


Alcohol is readily absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, however, alcohol is a toxic compound and cannot be stored and therefore, the body must oxidize it to get rid of it. Alcohol can only be oxidized in the liver, where enzymes are found to initiate the process. The enzyme Aldehyde Dehydrogenase (ALDH) metabolises alcohol into acetic acid (vinegar) a product from which the body can obtain some energy.
Some people have an alteration, called a polymorphism, in the ALDH gene which renders the enzyme inactive and makes it impossible for them to convert alcohol into acetic acid. Such persons should avoid alcohol, although they can enjoy the benefit of the antioxidants found in non-alcoholic red wine.


Symptoms
The consumption of alcohol can provide histamine and aids in the release of histamine. Alcohol prevents the breakdown of histamine. Moreover, histamine shares the same ALDH for its metabolism, hence an impaired ALDH enzyme will amplify the problem after the ingestion of alcohol which leads to excess histamine in the system. This leads to allergy-like symptoms including most notably nasal congestion and mild flushing of the skin within minutes of ingesting alcohol. Other side-effects include fluttering of the heart (palpitations, tachycardia), sensation of heat, headache, abdominal discomfort or a drop in blood pressure (hypotension) are related to high blood acetaldehyde levels.


The commonest abnormal reaction to alcohol is seen in persons from an oriental background, who get flushing, increased heart rate, and symptoms of reduced blood pressure. This is sometimes referred to as 'oriental flushing syndrome'. Approximately 50% of Chinese, Japanese, and Koreans are deficient in ALDH, and this has been reported to be protective against the development of alcoholism.


Now dont question me why my tolerance level to alcohol is so low. HAHA.

Project meeting was cancelled today. Luckily i havent went out. Haha.
But i didnt went back to sleep straight away. Hotshot for a few hours then took a nap.
In the end, i woke up late. haha

He's so nice to ride off when i havent even get my butt down on the pillion seat.

After gathering much comments yesterday, i finally bought a new phone.
E71 is so cute and ideal. Although most of the people i asked told me that its ugly. haha. Im super satisified with my phone. But there's some problem... my old phone is still stuck with me. It seemed that no retail shops are willing to take in a badly conditioned phone with spoiled speaker. -.- I guess W880i just doesn't want to leave me. Lol

I re-arranged my room the other day. Here are the pictures before and after. Those who have seen my room should have note the difference. Initially i wanted to change the position of my bed, but after much moving, i still felt that the old arrangement is better. Thus the main difference is only the shelve opposite my bed. I spend hours arranging, fixing and cleaning ok!
