hello 9th!

here are some messages from the 8th and i hope that our advices for you will be beneficial for your council term =) Do scroll down and view all of them! =)

No matter wad happens, take along with you the friendships and experiences...It is not about the success or failures of the events as once you stepped down, it is no longer about the events but the friendship that you have made. The rest are jus memories but not friendship.
- Firdaus

TIC!!!!! RESPECT!!! remember them throughout your council term. it's very important.. don't let what you learnt through elects camp be blown away by the wind. When you all get back your reflection forms, keep it properly.. look at it once in a while through your council term. Remember what you want the 9th to achieve.. As a whole 9th, have your common vision and move towards it. Enjoy the process of all the things you all do, because you only have one chance at each event. 1 year pass by before you know. Don't regret when you are stepping down next year. Time don't wait for you. Forge close bonds as a council, not within cliques. As leaders, have initiative. Don't forget the reflections during camp. Do behave yourself and behave in the right way for the different occasions. Be humble, be true.. true to yourself and others.. true in the way you treat others.. let it come from your heart, not an act.
- Karen

I wish u all ,all de best for ur council term... do our sch proud and ur SC proud.
- Ramya

Remember INITIATIVE and INTEGRITY are the 2 things that every councillor should possess. N ITS NOT THE BADGE THAT MAKES THE COUNCILOR, BUT THE COUNCILOR THAT MAKES THE BADGE. GAMBATTE 9th!
- Lewis

2 Simple things i learnt and live by when i'm in council,

ONE, always put yourself in others' shoes before acting, and its a 2-way thing. Many conflicts can be prevented and job made easier for many.

TWO, be open to listen to your mistakes and learn from it. Similarly, have a big heart when others made a mistake. Learn from each other.

All the best in your wonderful journey to come

- Bong Yap

Sometimes i feel im absolutely right
Sometimes i feel you're absolutely wrong
Sometimes i feel very strong
Sometimes i feel you're very weak
Sometimes i feel i'm all I need
Sometimes i feel you're of no need
Sometimes i feel things go awry
Sometimes i am not to be blamed
Sometimes i kick up a big fuss
Sometimes i do win
Sometimes i suddenly think...Sometimes...Learn to be discreet. Learn to be humble. Learn to treat your councillors well. Learn to appreciate their efforts. Learn to appreciate how things go. When you occasionally win...think...won by reason or sheer obstinance?

Dear 9th,
please ponder over the "sometimes" poem. If you constantly belong to this scenario, you're like me. I am sharingwith you because i am special...because this was what my council taught me that made me special. The 1st thing to always be able to do is to be aware. No one said being aware was an easy feat and neither was it for me.

- Yang Yi

Good luck in your term as councilors. The memories mentioned above is up to you all to create. May you keep up the good work and continue to let Student Council grow. I hope that one day when I come back to Pioneer, the Student Council will be a well respected and prestigious CCA that is the pride of Pioneer. Also, always remember that while doing council work remember to have fun!!!
- Darren

It's about embracing the "LET's GO" attitude. It's about setting aside differences and focusing on the big picture. It's about the "who's dinnering?". It's about " Jia you Andrew! you can do it" kind of encouragement you will get
- Andrew

Dear Elects,

We may sound harsh, look fierce, and appear mean at times; but we did that out of worries, unsatisfaction and/or unhappiness of ur behaviors at times.

I can tell u frankly that being the 8th student council hasn't been easy, and it was a tough journey until today. Soon, in mid july, the 9th student council will be born, and the 8th student council will be another history already.

Be humble, be kind, be optimistic. I wish the best for you guys,

The 9th student council to be: Shine with pride and blossom into a river of talents.

- Ciau Er

The end is indeed important. But hey, what about the processes?......investiture.....camps......events......staying back late in college......emailing files here and there......They are equally as important as well. No matter how hard we tried to describe them, how we illustrate them, no one will understand them. YOU, and only you, will understand the best. 1 year is seriously too short. Treasure the moments and memories together. (>.<)

- Zhi Lun

Council term would really pass very fast. so please do enjoy your council term and always remeber that it is important for u to work with each other and thus always have good communication among urself it would make ur life in council much easier, bond u guys and enhance teamwork. Do learn from the mistakes you make and what the rest make. as a council, ensure that u don't repeat them. Always support and encourage your fellow councillors as times will definitely be tough...there will definitely be times where u will get into each other nerves but please learn how to forgive, forget and accept things! In the mist of trying to please some, please do not 4get that there are always others who are supportive of your ideas... lastly, do not 4get that u r a human being and a normal student. Prioritise your time, study hard, plan hard, work hard and celebrate hard...

- Farveen

I have always believe that to lead is to serve truthfully (: Do things even when no one is watching.
- Sabrina

there will always come a time where you guys will stop to think why should you continue, or should you just give up. there will always come a time when you are affected by each other's action, where emotions struck you, where fights occur. there will alway come a time where you guys will face tremendous difficulties, or starting to part. but, don't worry, you are not alone. there are always people with you, accompanying you, supporting you any time when you are going to fall. and those people are no other than councillors and yourself. don;t let difficulties pull you down, let them make you guys stronger. till the end of your road, don't be sad, but look back at the happy times we always had, not the obstacles. smile always.

- Zhongri

All the best 9th! take care and serve the school truthfully =)
