Russel is a month old!

Its already gone by so quickly.  Here he is loving his tummy time and so strong!  Russel is such a great baby, I feel so spoiled.  He usually sleeps around 6 hours at night and he doesn't cry that much.  He eats really good and has gained a lot of weight already.  At two weeks he was already 9 lbs. 13 oz.  and grew a half an inch.  Who knows what he weighs now.  At least 10 lbs.  He loves to be held since I have held him so much.  He also loves his swing.   I hope this whole year doesn't go so fast,  he just seems so old already.

Bella's First day of 1st Grade.

Here is a very rushed picture of Bella on her first day of school!!  She looked so cute, this picture doesn't do her justice.  She loved her first day of school though!  She wanted to stay longer.  Her friends from yesterday sit by her at school and she saw all her old friends too.  She got to ride her bike to school like she always wanted to do.

here she is again in front of Enoch Elementary.  I was surprised I didn't cry and surprised Lili and Sophie didn't cry at all during the day.  I went to the store to pick up after school snacks but apparently they fed her really well at school so she wasn't even hungry.  I'm so glad she is a good eater, she loved school lunch!

Back to School Party!

I wanted Bella to be excited about school and to get to know some of her classmates.  Luckily two of them are in our ward at church.  Aaron and Cayla.  We decided to make key chains for their backpacks and then a necklace for them to wear on their first day of school.  I was really impressed with their jewelry making skills.  They all turned out so cute!!

Lili is rockin' out in her glasses and her necklace.  Which I might have to steal her idea, the white part anyways.  So cute!

As always, the princess girl is all dressed up with her jewelry and keychain.

I let each girl pick out a big bead to use for their focal point of their necklace.   Bella picked a big bead and it turned out so cute.  It looked really cute with her outfit on her first day of school and she matched the beads on her key chain to her back pack.  The girls all had lots of fun and got really excited for their first day of school.

Gun Safety and a little shooting!

We have been wanting to have gun safety for a while now.  So we finally went out and taught the girls about guns and all the safety rules.  It went really well and the girls now know to run if a friend or someone brings a gun out to show them.  I feel much better now.

We also let bella shoot a little gun.   She loved it!

Of course the girls' favorite part was wearing ear plugs, checking the target and collecting all the shells.  They played with the shells for days afterwards.

I was a terrible shot this time.  I love shooting Adam's pistol.  I have only ever shot rifles so that was fun.  I could barely hit the target but my cute man here was of course expert.  But what do you expect from ex-military!

I've taken up drinking!

So my mom and dad came to see Russel and we went to the cedar city 24th of July parade.  Well, before it started Adam walked across the street to Maverick and picked up me and my dad a yummy Vanilla Cream Soda.
Well...  after taking a few drinks my dad got a hand on his shoulder and was then asked what we were drinking.  We showed him our Vanilla Cream Soda and then the cop got real apologetic and said he was sorry but a volunteer cop told him he thought we were drinking beer.
It was so funny!!! My dad was pretty embarrassed, he almost didn't want to finish his drink.  But we laughed and thought we better take a picture of the day we were almost caught drinking.   good times!

Russel Adam Hahn

Well here is our little man.  He was born July 19th at around 2:00 p.m.  Weighing 8pds. 9 oz. and he was 22 inches long.  I can't believe how much baby was in me.  It was crazy to have him on the 19th because the twins were born on the 19th of October and Bella on the 9th of April so 9 is our number.

I had contractions every 5 minutes through the night so I of course didn't get any sleep and I woke up at 7:00 and they stopped being every 5 minutes.  Then all of sudden they were 2 minutes apart but not as intense so I didn't want to go in.  But of course Adam made me call my doctor and they told me to come in but I really didn't feel like I was in labor but Laurie said I was and sent me down to labor and delivery.

I am a little stubborn because I didn't want to call the doctor, I really felt like I should wait for my water to break but Adam made me call. When I came out and told him I would be having the baby by 2:00 he laughed and said told you so!!  What can I say, he is the one that drug me in to see the doctor when I had Bella too.  I don't know why I am so stubborn but I guess I don't want to get sent home and told that I'm not in labor.

So they broke my water and all pain came on.   But he did finally come at almost 2:00 p.m.  We still hadn't agreed upon a name until he was born and finally agreed to Russel Adam.  He was just perfect.  He looked like a month old baby.  He wasn't all beat up looking like normal newborns.  We are just so happy to have a little boy and the girls all love him and want to hold him and kiss him all the time.

such a cute quilt!

Isn't this such a cute blanket??  So Its like no other I have ever seen.  Its layers of flannel and then they cut to the color they want and its a rag quilt.  probably sounds confusing and really for me to sew something like this would be way to complex for me.  anyways, this is an original design.  they found the dinosaur from a book and were just creative with it.  Some friends from exercise and basketball made this for me.  How nice is that?  I seriously have the nicest friends and neighbors around me.  Which helps since I'm so far away from family!!!  Thanks everyone!!

Help... Which one?

So Adam is back for three weeks!!  Yea.  I just need Russel to come now.  Ya, Adam decided he wanted Russel David Hahn.  I am still chewing on the name but its probably going to be Russel.  Anyway, I have been walking, running and going on very bumpy roads.  I just can't seem to get myself to choke down caster oil.  Yuck.  I just keep hoping any day now.

Now to the pictures below...  Walmart made my day today.  Adam got these girls cowgirl boots down in Texas and I knew I wanted a picture of them.  They are too adorable.  Anyway, I sent these two photos into walmart to get printed and when I went to pick them up I was told that I had to have permission to print copyrighted photos.  I was quite confused until I realized and said I just took them.  So then they made me sign a paper that I wasn't printing copyrighted photos but that I personally took them.  I was beaming!!  They thought these pictures were professional!  I love photo editing.

So anyways... I printed both and they are both cute but I can only frame one.  So which one????

Green Show

Since the Shakespeare Festival started we have been going to the Green Show fairly often.  Its a nice way to pass the time in the evening.  The girls love it.  Our favorite night is the Scottish Night.  They dance and sing and tell jokes.

The girls always want to dance but they are always to shy.  but this time Sophie actually stood up and started dancing.  So cute.

They completely pay attention the whole time because they love it so much.  Even though we have seen it before.  Bella has already memorized a song.  She is amazing at that.  Every time they pick a kid to take a picture with the cast and Bella is always sad she doesn't get chosen.  So hopefully one of these days she will get picked.

4th of July Parade!

Here they ready for the parade, well... mostly they are ready to get candy.  All morning they practiced yelling for candy.  It was pretty funny.  Sophie wouldn't yell.  She said she couldn't.  The girls tried to get her to but of course she wouldn't.  It was cute.  The girls' shirts were ones I made last year and I just made bella's skirt.

We met up with the neighbors at the parade.  Their kids are so sweet.  they made sure all the girls got candy.

All the girls wanted to get their faces painted.  I painted fireworks on the lili and bella and unfortunately the paint just rubs off.  Why do they make face paint like that?  It needs to dry but by the end of the parade it was all rubbed off.

Sophie didn't save any candy.  She ate every piece as she got it.  I'm sure she'll be sick later.

Lili didn't eat one piece of candy during the parade.  she saved every piece. Of course once she got home it was all eaten.

Pictures for Daddy!

Adam... here are the pictures the girls drew for you today!  You are in every picture.  Bella's has the flag and you and her and flowers.   Sophie drew you, lili and her and flowers.  Sophie drew herself with teeeth.  Its cute.  I found out that lili's was really sohie's that she cut up.  So of course now Sophie is crying because she just realized it was her picture.  Oh well, Lili is pretty proud of herself!!  Lol!

Tweet! Tweet!!

Tweet!  Tweet is the sound we get to hear all day.  Its so pretty!!  Do you see our cute little birds.  I think they are yellow finch birds but I could totally be wrong.  Anyways, we have been watching these birds since their parents were taking stick by stick in our rain gutter building their nest.  That was exciting for the girls that a nest was even being built and then we saw them when they were tiny little birds poking their beaks out and now here they are crawling around the roof.  But then yesterday we didn't see them on the roof because they were finally flying.  It's going to be kind of sad when they are gone.

Canyon Park

My three little girls!!  They are so cute!

Lili and sophie just sat in the water here, that is why lili is sucking in because it was cold.

 Miss model Bella!!

Bella was swimming and of course Lili had to copy her.  luckily its not that deep.

Bella was impressed with herself for sitting in the creek.  It is run off so its pretty cold!

One of the fun free water parks in Cedar!!  I love this park, its full of beautiful mature trees so there is shade everywhere.  That is not common here and then it has this cute creek that flows through it.  I get scared to let my kids swim here especially now that I'm such a slow mover but I figured if I didn't go with a friend I would concentrate more and make sure they were all safe.  When I have a friend there, we talk and its easy to not see something.
So we took pizza and let the girls play in the park.  I was very proud of my girls.  they are super kind to one another.  Bella was very concerned for the girls through the swift parts of the creek and held their hands one by one.  Then Sophie went off and played in the sand volleyball pit.  Both Lili and Bella came up to me separately and asked where sophie was.  When I told them they both said, Ahh, that's sad she is by herself, I'll go play with her.  I was very proud of them for their kindness and thoughtfulness!!  these girls sure bring a lot of joy to my life.

front porch

Here is the craft rachel and I made yesterday once we helped the girls make theirs.

I wanted something a little festive for the fourth outside.  I saw this here http://www.bystephanielynn.com/2010/06/american-flag-spindle-post.html  and of course copied it just a little smaller version but I think its cute.  I made the little table and painted the planters all black.  I guess I need to move the welcome sign but I think its very inviting as you walk up.  As you can see I am trying to keep busy while adam is gone.

Now what???

kid's fourth craft

Yesterday Rachel and Tera came over with their kids and we did a fun kid's craft.  They are super cute and the girls are so proud of them.  If you are interested here is where I stole the idea.  This is a fun website http://www.bystephanielynn.com/2010/06/tin-can-flag-windsock-for-kiddies.html   I also stole another idea from her but I'll post that tomorrow, its not quite finished.
I feel bad because I thought I wouldn't want several of these hanging around so I had the girls make one together and I really need to not make them share so often especially because they are so cute in our trees I would have loved to have another one.

37 weeks!!

Okay so a few have asked for a prego picture and I always tell them I never take pictures when i'm pregnant and I really don't.  I only have one of each of my kids.  I really wasn't going to take one but I got thinking about when I would see pictures and my parents would say, "there's mom pregnant with hayley" and I always thought that was cool.  so for our little guy and those who want to see the chubby me.  Here ya go.  Only three more weeks to go!

Of course three more weeks also means that I get to see Adam again too.  Adam is working in Texas.  He has been gone for a week already and he gets to come back 2 days before my due date.   So three more weeks will be a great celebration!!

Blue Wizards!!

Bella played t-ball this summer.  It was every tuesday and thursday for about 6 weeks.  I have to say it was the cutest thing ever.  These kids are so funny to watch.  They are always fighting over the ball and their attention span is not that long but they sure made progress by the end of the season.  They were all hitting and throwing really well.  If you were taking score, bella's team won every game.  She was one of three girls on her team.

Here is bella up to bat.  When we first started teaching her she was an amazing hitter and then when she got to the games they would always put the tee so low and so it messed her up a bit but she adjusted and would always hit out towards right field.

Every kid fought over first because everyone threw it to first, it was where all the action was.  So bella usually got to play it every game or every other game but here she is playing catcher.  Catcher was scary because kids would not pay attention and start swinging or they would throw the bat.  Luckily this was the only time bella played catcher.

Here is a great action shot of Bella, she is the one throwing the ball.

Here is the end where she learned to cheer for the other team and she absolutely loved her team name.. the Blue Wizards!  She also loved that there were treats at the end of the game.  It was a lot of fun for her and she can't wait to play again.

Fishing Night!

The three little fisherwomen!  Adam has been wanting to take the girls fishing for forever so for his birthday yesterday we took them up to the kids pond.  We didn't catch a thing!!  Everyone around us, however, was catching a million.  So after a few hours we left empty handed and very sad.

But the next day we decided to try again and go in the evening.  It paid off, each one of these girls caught a fish.  they were small and cute.  It was so fun to see the girls as they reeled them in.  They were so excited and just giggling like crazy.  They were so excited to hold them.   Adam was afraid they would be to girly to touch their fish but I knew better, I knew I raised some tough girls.  They even loved watching Dad gut the and clean the fish.

Here are all their prideful fishing pictures.  First Sophie caught hers, then Bella and then Lili.

Bella turns 6!

Bella's birthday was April 9th and she turned six!!  We started off taking treats to her class.  She wanted rice krispy treats.  I got to her class only to find Bella with a bloody mouth and the rest of her class outside playing.  It was good timing on my part because Bella had just gotten hit in the mouth accidentally by another student and her tooth was about to fall out.  So I was able to grab it and take it home.  She was so happy!!  Her second tooth on her birthday.

We then went to the park for lunch to hang out with Rachel and her cute boys and then we had Bella's birthday party!  It was a fairy tea party.  All the girls dressed up and we ate scones, pb&j sandwiches and cookies.  We played a fun game and then opened presents.  ** Bella was so good all day waiting to open her presents.  when I grew up we opened them first thing in the morning. ** She got lots of great gifts from her friends.

Then they all went outside to make their own fairy house out of all things natural outside.  they were all pretty creative.  If you haven't seen how fun fairy houses can be for kids you should check out this link  Fairyhouses.com. Afterwards, Adam let bella pick a restaurant to eat dinner at, which was chili's.

We recently had a service auction at church and I bid on a child's birthday cake so a sister from our ward make bella's birthday cake.  Bella chose the cake, it was a cute kitty.  Amy spent a lot of time on this cake.  It was so cute!!  I have to admit it was nice to not have to make one.   I barely pulled a party off and I was drained.  Bella got pretty spoiled!  She got a barbie computer for her birthday!

One last sad thing that happened... Adam and I forgot to inform the tooth fairy to come that night and it made for a sad morning the next morning.  But the tooth fairy did come the next night.
