Of course Lili and Sophie napped before we went so sophie was a big grump for the first 4 houses and then realized she was getting some good candy and she perked up.

Halloween
So here we are ready to trick or treat. It was luckily a warm day that day. I dressed in my belly dancing costume. Ellie was a nerd. A cute nerd, I might ad. Lili was a cowgirl and Sophie was Snow White. I sewed Bella's costume myself. She wanted to be Aeradessa the water fairy. (I didn't know that was her name, we were informed by my Bishop who was a big fan of tinkerbell) I thought she was cute. We bought 6 huge bags of candy and we were out by 8:30 and turned our lights out but we still got teenagers knocking on our door until almost 10:00. Our street is the busiest in enoch. I don't know why.
Adam's Mom and lil' sis' came to visit for Halloween. It was a lot of fun! The girls were so happy to see their Grandma. We decided to go to St. George since we all love warm weather. We hiked on the red rocks and ate frozen custard. Yum! We made it back in time to carve pumpkins and go trick or treating.

Red Rock Relay Race (lots of R's)
So here we are waiting for the race to begin starting at Brian Head. We ran through there and our first girl took off on the ski lift. So exciting and so cold! The only girl I knew at this time was Krista. 29 hours later was a different story. It was 7 when we left.
Each team had two vans to carry them around. This was everyone in my van. Krista and her twin Koni and then Wendy, Lisa and Angie. None of us had ran yet. I was the first to run from our van. The first run was down Cedar Canyon 6.7 miles. I did pretty good but was exhausted by the end. My next run was at night, I ran through LaVerkin to Hurricane 4.8 miles. I hated that run because it was kind of scary and I got a little lost and had to back track and then I problems with my head lamp and the cars were pushing you off the road but I still did okay. The last run was fun, it was Saturday morning from Gunlock to Veyo. It was only 4.2 miles. It was pretty hilly but I still did pretty good considering I only got an hour of sleep the whole night.
Here we are finished with the race, every time you finished one of your races you put a mark on your arm so this is a picture of us with our three marks on our arms. It was so fun!!! We finished in 29 hours. I had so much fun with these girls. They were so supportive and excellent runners. I learned a lot from them.
Our full team at the finish line. Don't we look all unified? Hot pink and black was our team colors. I will remember this experience for forever and I hope to run one of these again. I had a blast even though it was extremely hard for me. Go Punch Drunk Jello-legs!!

Bella's first day of Kindergarten!
I know its a little late but here is Bella on her first day of kindergarten. Isn't she a cutie? she was so excited. We didn't buy her clothes since she has enough already but Adam did let her pick out a new outfit for her first day and this was what she picked out. She wanted to scooter to her school and the whole way she sang, I'm going to school, My first day of school!!
She had a great day! I unfortunately messed up the times of school and showed up late to pick her up and I felt so bad. I'm The worst!! I felt so bad.
I cried when I dropped her off but I didn't let her see. The twins were so sad, they didn't want to leave Bella, they were getting mad at me for dropping her off.

Vroom, Vroom...
Adam finally got me on his bike. Don't get me wrong, I think the motorcycle is fun but it worries me since I have three kids and I don't want to get hurt and leave them. But it means a lot to Adam to share this with me so I went on this ride with him and his buddy and his wife. We went south through Laverkin and then through Zion's.

This is the only shot I could take of us on the bike. Ya... I should have had Tara take one of us but coulda, shoulda, woulda! Anyways, we then went through the tunnel and then out and around north up to the top of Cedar mountain and down the canyon. It was a great ride but boy are the seats on those things small!! I was dying!
thanks to Rachel for watching our kids, we so appreciated it!!
And yes, my husband looks way cute in all the leather gear. Next time I will wear my hair up inside the helmet so when I take it off my hair can flow down like in the movies... okay, not really, actually I am wearing it up next time because it took forever to get the knots out of my hair and I really wanted to cry.
It was beautiful as you can see in this picture. Unfortunately I was the only one with the camera so this is a Picture of Jason and Tara. Cool picture.

A great Fall Wreath!
You all should head on over to Homespunn for the prettiest fall wreath tutorial. Margaret made me this wreath and it looks gorgeous in my home and can you believe its just the tops of corn. Cool huh? Head on over and check out how to make one!

If only...
If only I had a picture of my jog yesterday morning. I was running on a dirt road past a little farm with lots of goats. One was in the street running towards me with horns. As I ran towards it I was praying it was a nice goat. Unfortunately it turned out to be a little too nice!
It started running with me, right next to me. I tried to take it back to it's home and talk to it like my dog, I really didn't know what else to do. I told it to go home but it kept running with me. After two times of taking it back home I gave up and decided to run and maybe it would eventually turn back.
It was a little hard to ignore because it ran so close to me that it was pushing me off the road. After a half of a mile I found another little farm with goats and led the goat to them and after introduction it made friends and stayed with them luckily! That was the craziest thing that has ever happened to me. I could see our shadow, me and the goat on the ground... it was the funniest thing I had ever seen. He was quite a runner! I have to admit it was nice to have some company!

Repurposed Hairbow holder
If you are like me you spend money on these cute hair clips or spend a ton of time making them yourself only for the girls to take them out and shove them in a drawer where they get a little banged up and never as cute as they were. I knew I needed something to keep these clips looking good as new. I saw a picture of something similar on a blog (sorry I have no idea which since it was a very long time ago) and knew I wanted to make it.
I found the frame at a garage sale. Unfortunately after telling myself to take a before shot of the frame I forgot. It was an old goldish brown color, very ugly but it had great potential as you see. This was the quickest project and the cutest. Now I just need to find all the hair clips which are somewhere in my girls' rooms.

Cold Pack
Anyone out there with a toddler or older needs one of these. I am constantly putting ice in a bag and wrapping a towel around it when my girls have bumps that need some cold on them. Then they always play with it and a hole gets into it and the melted ice leaks.

So I found this at Homespunn and I knew I had to make one.

I am almost out of my great Ikea material that I have used on so many things and originally covered my chairs with. I love leftover material.

Its filled with rice and then there is a cover for it because it will most likely get really dirty so I can just wash the cover when needed. Great idea!! Then you just leave it in the freezer until needed.

San Diego!!
So we finally got out of Cedar. Usually we travel a lot during the summer but this year we have been working on the house so much and Adam has been in summer school so we've stayed around town all summer until now!
Bella boogie boarding. Isn't she great?? She did so good. She loved the ocean. We all had so much fun boogie boarding. We'll have to get a surf board next time.
We had so much fun just chillin on the beach. We would spend most all day at the beach. Here we are waiting for the sunset. We were walking on the boardwalk and bella was scootering. She loved the soft pavement.
this lovely family photo is after we had all been swimming so keep that in mind. the twins were afraid of the water at first but by the end of the vaca they were laying in the water and running through it. They loved it and I loved watching them play.

My new adventure...
This is the 180 mile route for the Redrock Relay Race. I'm on a 12 woman team called the Punch Drunk Jello-legs (who knows?), but I am so excited. We each take three legs of the race. We are running from Brian Head Ski Resort, through Zion's and through St. George and ending at Tuachan. Its starts at 8:00 a.m and we have to finish by 4:00 p.m. the next day. Isn't this so cool? I can't wait!! It is going to be such an adventure. Of course I only have two weeks to train... YIKES!

New Sewing Project!! - Car Trash bag!
So if you have seen my car you know that I definitely needed to make this project!! Don't you love how kids throw trash on the ground where ever they are, even when they are a few feet from a garbage... well at least mine do that.
So we are heading to San Diego for a much needed vacation. Which is why I made this today to help with the garbage on our trip. I will let you all know how it works.
It has a boning in the front so it will always be open for the little ones. Plus, my friend is going to get me some plastic liners to keep it a little cleaner but lets be honest... its going to get dirty so luckily it is all able to wash.

sisters!
so bella is off to her Grandma and Grandpa Hahn's house for a few days and she isn't the least homesick. Good thing I have these two to keep me busy. It was so quiet outside that I looked out the window to see this picture.
Isn't it cute. They are picking peas, Sophie of course picks them for lili to eat since she doesn't eat vegetables. They have been playing like best buds while bella is gone. Its so cute.
Don't you love those really cheesy smiles for a picture!! Lili looks like she is crying but that is her smile for the camera. Don't you love gardens? My girls spend a lot of time in ours. They are the reason I grow a garden.
day at the park!
Water... Park! Those can't go wrong in Bella's eyes.
I think I have been promising Bella I'd take her to the canyon park all summer so I thought it was a perfect day for it. We invited the neighbors to come along.
All my kids love the neighbor kids. Lili doesn't know there names, she just calls them neighbors and Sophie loves christina the oldest.
All I can say is thank goodness for the Talbot Reunion. The neighbors were a bit bored with the shallow creek so I was able to tell them about the boat races. I of course had to show them how to make a boat but once I got them going they were boat making kids.
Aren't they great boats??

the cousins are coming!!!
Welcome to Utah!! Natalie and four of her five kids came to visit for the week of the 24th.

So I got to play tour guide. We went to st. george and toured some of the early pioneer sites. We went to the Iron Mission Museum.
For the 24th we went to the cedar parade, the kids loved all the candy. We played in the water. We went to Enoch's parade, which for us is just a big water fight. We bring a cooler of water balloons and squirt guns. Adam made enemies with some people as he got them wet. but it was fun.
We went to the park for the festivities and on to the green show. the kids were grumpy by then so we didn't stay up for the fireworks.

We also hiked kanaraville falls. Always fun and beautiful! The kids loved hiking in the creek.
As always, it was pretty hot that week. So Adam hooked the kids up with a slip 'n' slide that started when you went down the slide. I think that was a life saver for the kids. They loved it and even little ali got in on the fun. so busy and so fun! Thanks Natalie for coming down!!
Here is a cute video of Ali walking the spider walk and the other of the kids playing.

the aggressive girl!
For those of you who only see Sophie's shy side, which is probably everyone since she is so quiet around others. Here are a few shots of what she is like at home. Adam loves to tease the girls. Usually by taking something of theirs, and boy does sophie get upset. Right here Adam took something from Bella and Sophie is a great sister and always gets everything back from daddy. Of course dad gets a kick out of her attitude so he really gets her going even more. Can you just see that aggression?? Boy are we in for it!
night time play
so lately we have been waking up to sophie on the couch asleep. Its so funny, sometimes she will have books by her and sometimes her dolls. Its like she wakes up and plays around and then falls asleep. I guess she at least gets herself a blanket. Of course it was scary the first time Adam woke up and didn't find sophie in bed. You'd think she would be scared out there by herself!

Independence Day!
So me and Adam started the day at 6 a.m to get ready for our 5K race. Adam was very nice and ran with me the whole way, which slowed him down but helped me to run faster. It was fun to run together though. I got 5th in my age group and Adam got 3rd in his. He got $3 for it. funny huh?

Then we went to the Cedar parade... why don't they ever have floats? is my question. Still lots of fun. here are the girls waiting for anyone to throw them candy. Another thing about parades, they are no longer throwing candy. come on!

yes, the girls love candy and get way excited about one little piece. As for the shirts... what do you think?? They turned out cute huh? I didn't finish them entirely, the sleeves are not finished but they still looked cute. oh and that is a girl from our ward who happened to be there which was fun for bella to have a friend.

We then went to our neighbors for a bbq. She made these yummy inside out burgers. Yum!! They had mozzarella in the middle of them and the hamburger buns were made like garlic bread. I am definitely making them.

Talbot Reunion - Idaho!
Okay, so our very fun reunion was packed with adventure in a very small amount of time. Here are some pics of our fun time.

Here is our dutch oven tradition. We made a cobbler. We had about 160 people up there this year. We also played horse shoes, had a survivor competition, price is right which I did horrible in and many more fun activities. It was lots of fun!!

this is a picture of the pulley swing. Its so fun, all the girls loved it. It goes down a mountain.
This was one of the crazy things we discovered. Well... some of my family had gone in previously years but it was a first for me. So this swing was done by someone else and my family just found it, you have to hike up to it. As you can see you swing out on a slope. it was super fun!! and at first I thought it was pretty safe but the next day we took one of my cousins on it and he slipped and flipped down the mountain really banging himself up and ended up getting 13 stitches. Yikes!! Needless to say, we probably may never do that again. You get really high. Like 20 feet or so.

Camping!
Camping was so fun (once we got threr, lol!). Rachel invited us to go camping this weekend at Yankee Meadows. It is so pretty up there and the camp spot we had was perfect.
There was another one of Rachel's friends with 5 kids which was nice since there were friends for the girls to play with. Bella had fun throwing rocks and playing with the glow stick at night. The weather was pretty good and we had new cotts to sleep on which were great.
We had a great time with Rachel and Chantry, such a cute family as you can tell but in the picture the boy on the right isn't theirs and their cute boy Chestyn was in the trailer since he is only a couple months old. Yes, rachel has been camping several times already with a newborn - amazing! Thanks rachel for the fun time.
Isn't that a cute photo of Lili, she dug and dug in the dirt the whole time. I love that.
