This guy was singing to me this afternoon. I heard him long before I saw him. He was very well hidden. Perhaps he is a shy singer, and doesn't like an audience watching him. Too bad for him, because I have a long zoom! He sings a lovely song, though.

Do you believe in GHOSTS? Well, I have photographic evidence and no photoshop was used.

Oh wait, that's me and I'm fully alive. Not a ghost. But I look like a ghost, don't you think?

Actually, my photography class was out on a night photo shoot and we were having fun taking "ghost" shots of each other. Want to make your own ghost? All you need is a tripod, a long shutter speed, a small aperture and running shoes to get out the shot half way through. Oh yes, it helps if it is dark outside. Adds to the effect, you know.

How many ghosts do you see in this picture?

This is my submission for i ♥ faces, category: Nostalgia

When I was a little girl my family made many trips to visit my Grandparents. They lived a couple hours from us, but we went regularly. My Grandma usually had donuts or some sort of pastry waiting for us. My Grandpa had licorice which was always rock hard. Their house had a fireplace in the basement, and when we would visit at Christmas there would be a roaring fire to enjoy. I remember pulling out my little wooden rocking chair that was kept in the room behind the furnace and sitting in front of the fireplace while I admired the Christmas tree. I have wonderful memories of my Grandparents.

Today I have that little rocking chair, and my girls use it regularly.

Go visit I ♥ faces to see more photos.

Don't you just hate it when you get a bit of water in your boot?

The road got leveled out, but it is still very soggy. If only we could have a couple dry days ... ha ha ha ha, oh ha ha ha, snort, ha ha ha ha!

When my boy was 18 months old, we used to park the tractor under a car shed closer to our house. The tractor provided hours of entertainment for the two kids we had at the time. They would climb on it, pretend to drive it, push the turn signal buttons (and sometimes leave them on, draining the battery). They would pretend the tractor was a rocket ship, or a dinosaur, and sometimes they kept it as a tractor. The real excitement came when he and his older sister and cousin would climb in the scoop, get lifted up and go for a ride. When the boy was 4 years old, we moved the tractor to the shop forcing him to walk a couple of minutes to get to it. Even now, when he is almost seven, the tractor still provides cheap thrills.

Our dirt road needs some help. The hole that is usually just moderate in size has grown and is eating my little car. It's time to get the tractor and level things out. The road is muddy and unless you have 4-wheel drive, I would not recommend driving through it. But if you are on a 4-wheeler, it is great fun!

I was in Utah for three days attending the funeral of my Grandmother. It was a wonderful experience to be with my extended family for a couple of days and honor the life of my Grandmother. I am blessed with a strong family and a rich heritage from both my Mother and my Father. I draw strength from them and the knowledge that I am more than just me, but rather part of a line that extends back through the years, and now pushes forward with my own children. I am a better person because of the life and example of all of my Grandparents, both sides.

These are the door handles of the Salt Lake Temple. The evening light was so beautiful reflecting off the doors.

One more photo of the Salt Lake Temple; I think it is beautiful. The temple is built out of granite which was quarried at a mine about 20 miles from Salt Lake City. It took 40 years to build (1853-1893). The temple is a place of worship for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons).

I took these pictures at 8:30 pm. The sun was reflecting beautifully off of the gold Angel Moroni on the top of the Salt Lake Temple. It was such a beautiful evening. We saw some bride and grooms getting their pictures taken. I absolutely enjoyed my time walking around Temple Square.

This is probably one of the poorest quality photos I have taken, but I still love it. This is the LDS Temple in Salt Lake City. I was in Salt Lake City for the past three days. This picture was taken as my daughter and I are at a restaurant looking out at the setting sun. It was such a beautiful day completed with stunning views at night. This photo is taken inside, looking through a very dirty window, hence the reflections you can see. I hand held the camera and the ISO was jacked, thus all the noise. Like I say, not technically very nice, but sometimes beauty that I see in a photo comes less from the technical aspect, and more from the feelings and emotions the photo invokes.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! You will all be relieved to know that I will not be posting the final view of my cow because the wonderful D Family agreed to let me torture them with a camera. What a beautiful family, don't you think?

D Family, I will get you the high resolution prints as soon as I get back into town.
