Mckenzie's Blessing
Shyanne's Baptism
Shyanne's baptism was great! She was baptized and confirmed a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by her dad She looked beautiful and we are very proud of her for making the decision to be baptized. She has always seemed to have an affinity for the gospel and it's teachings, we hope that this will continue throughout her life.

4th Of July
We had an awesome 4th of July this year. Not only did we get to celebrate our country's freedom...Logandale style...but Shyanne got Baptized. We were a bit bummed that the ultralight didn't drop candy this year, instead they just spread it on the lawn. :( This kids enjoyed the slip and slide and water games. Our girls also enjoyed doing each others hair to go to the movies the night before the 4th. The fire works were great and we enjoyed laying on our blanket with our family and just enjoying the music and the show.It was a ton of fun to get to spend some time with Jason and Bridi's family and Kyle made it home for a few days.

New Addition
Well Here She Is!!! Mckenzie Brooke born on Cinco de Mayo, she was 7 lbs. 4 oz and 19inches long. For about a week before she was born, I drove everyone around me crazy saying that she was going to come any time because all my kids came early, and Shandon was a good 2 weeks early! Well...all my kids were about 5 1/2 lbs full term too! So, at 39 weeks because I was dilated to a 5 for at least 1 full day, and live an hour from the hospital the Dr. had me come in to the hospital Tuesday morning (May 5th) and they started me. They started the pitocin drip about 8:20 am by 9:20 I was only dilated to a 6...but never fear, an epidural,Tommy Boy playing on the TV and by 11:01am we had ourselves a new baby girl! She looks more like Emily as a baby than any of the other kids. Jerid was awesome in the hospital and has been great to help at home too! We have a great family who took care of our other kids, did my laundry, and made us dinner. We have also been totally spoiled by our friends and ward members who have brought in the most delicious dinners!!! Thank-you all! The kids are adjusting pretty well now that we are kind of back into our old schedule. The girls are a big help most of the time, and Shandon...well he sure loves his new sister :) Actually he has done pretty well too. It is very humbling to have another infant in our home. We are so grateful for our many blessings! If you want to check out some 1 week old pics af Mckenzie go to - http://www.iheartphotographybykorindi.blogspot.com Korindi Totten took some really great pics of her.

Fair Week & Easter
Spring break was during the fair this year and it made the time just fly by! To top it off Easter was that Sunday as well. The first pics are the kids in their new easter outfits. Taking pics is always so pleasant :) They actually stuck it out pretty good considering they hadn't got their easter baskets yet! Ryan and Kobi and their family got to come out during the week. It was so fun to get to see them. It is crazy how time flies and we all grow up and have to be responsible. It was good for my kids to have baby Ashlyn around. I was pleasantly suprised how good they all were with her...even Shandon. We'll see if it is the same when they have their own baby. They also really enjoyed having cousin Caiden there to play. Since we don't get to see them very often, the kids just eat it up when they are here. Shyanne entered a cake and some art projects into the fair. She was so excited to participate, and actually got a really good score on her cake. She also performed with the Moapa Valley Childrens choir. Emily did mutton bustin' and had a blast. She was a little nervous, but made it half way across the arena before she fell off. She is already excited to do it again next year. Shandon was crazy excited about the rodeo and getting to see "Cowboy Josh" again, But was sad that cowboy Kyle and his family didn't come this year. As you can easily see, my kids were excited to get pictures with Miss Clark County Fair and Rodeo- Shyla Marshall as well. It was fun to get to see some old friends and enjoy the week with family.

Landscaping
We finally got some much needed landscaping started. We dug out our exsisting grass(and weeds) in the front in order to fill with more sand to allow for better drainage. We also got a new wall put up a few days later. We then started in the back digging the area we are going to put grass in. As you can tell we invoked the help of family and heavy equipment. Our lot is so packed with clay that it would have been a never ending project to dig by hand and re-fill with sand. We are so grateful for Shane, Garrett and Voy for helping us out and for the wives for holding down their forts while the men worked all day! We still have a lot to do, but we are excited to get it started!
