Kendell is 1 year

So I look at this a couple of times a week but since I can access it from my phone I usually do so that way to check on everyone else's blogs. Checking things that way also usually means I do not update very often. My phone, as fabulous as it is does not have all the pictures on it that I want to share with everyone and also with the touch screen keyboard on the phone I do not like to type out to much if I don't have to. Thus, my excuse for not updating sooner.
Piper was the flower girl in Blake's wedding so we took advantage of the kids being dressed up and the beautiful landscape of the venue to take a few pictures. Granted I am not the professional photographer but for an ametier I was pretty pleased with my skills.

I went to Twin Falls for 3 different fairs with the kids. The Jerome fair I took the kids and went down Tuesday night. We worked all day Wednesday, Thursday, and part of Friday. I had to leave early to get home for the wedding rehersal Friday night before Blake's wedding the next day. Piper was introduced to strawberry lemonade and it is now her preferred drink. Both Piper and Kendell were really well behaved considering the conditions we were in all day. Working at the fair is fun, busy, and hot. We worked in a 25 foot trailer loaded up with grills, friers, ice cream machine, and a couple prep tables, freezers and refridgerators. Kendell was not able to get down and crawl around and Piper was stuck playing around the back side of the trailer or walking around if my brother or sister wanted to go wandering. We were in blacktop in Jerome and no shade. Gooding was a busier fair and we were on the grass with shade! The location for the kids was much better that they were able to play. Wes came down Friday after work to join us Friday  night and Saturday. Then school started the following Monday and on Friday we headed to Twin Falls for the Twin Falls fair. This time we were again on the grass and my mother planned the set up so that Piper and Kendell could play behind the trailer and they were closed in so they could not get away from us. That setup worked really well that I could let Kendell down and not have to worry about him getting stepped on or taken.

Finally downloaded pictures!

So I finally uploaded my phone pictures to the computer and here they are starting with Piper and her first bike ride of the year. As you can see it was still fairly cold out even if the snow was gone. She is doing so well with the tricycle that she goes out to ride everyday and has once escaped and rode over to a friends house. Yes, miss Piper has discovered that she can open all the doors in the house and has visited neighbors with out permission at least twice. I have purchased lever child safety locks but they say not to put them on exterior doors.
The kids sit next to each other and frequently hold hands. Piper is always asking for Kendell's hand and on this particular day they fell asleep and it was just so sweet we had to take a picture.
Kendell's first time in the swing at the park. He never liked the baby swing, and always would wake up and cry about the motion. He really enjoyed the swings at the park.
Painting at school. Some people might think it looks like pooh but I promise it was only brown paint. His teacher sent this to me the day they painted.
Here is the shirt I wanted at the store, I thought it described me pretty well. What do you think? Maybe I don't want to know if you agree of not?

Western Days in Twin Falls. Kendell again played on the swing and then later at Mom and Dad's Rockhard took him for a ride on the gator. He got a taste of driving and now thinks he needs to drive everywhere. Good thing he gets buckled into the back or we would have a wild ride.
Kendell at 9 months. He is acording to the pediatrician a perfect and petite little man. 16.4 pounds which puts his at the 2 %. As long as he follows this growth curve he will do well.
Our trip to Hoogle Zoo with Kevin and Ashley Lindley and Randi and Cassidy Peterson. I think fun was had by all!
Piper had seen the water spray out of the trunk and was excited about it spraying someone.

Piper wanted to ride the horse and now I think we really need to get her to see and possibly on a read horse. This is one of my favorite pictures.

Proof that we all were there and on the train at the same time.
Wendell Dairy Days, Kendell was helping work the consession and started playing in the ice water keeping the drinks cold. Let me tell you the water was freezing but he was still so happy and content to splash away in it. After he was done I had to change his clothes and defrost his hands.
Double swing!!! There are 3 infant/toddler swings at the park. The other 2 were occupied so I put Piper and Kendell together and they loved it!
Kendell is army crawling and is a pro and rolling so now he is tackeling the toys Piper leaves laying around on the floor.

Last but not least Hna. Tarry Waters on a P-day activity. She didn't really expain it but I liked the picture.

Anniversary Trip To Salt Lake

Hello everyone! This is Wes blogging this post.  Ashurity says that I should try doing a post once in a while, so I thought what a perfect opportunity it would be to share about out wedding anniversary.

We decided to return to Salt Lake this year and continue with our tradition of spending the weekend out-of -town.  Ashurity had to work a half day on friday, and I had the day off, so we got the family and headed down to Salt Lake.  We usually stay with Garrin & Stephanie (Ashurity's aunt and uncle), but I had found a good deal on a hotel in Taylorsville, so we decided to stay there and enjoy the pool and hot-tub.  Plus it was a centralized location to everything.
After getting into town and checking in, we decided to go to the Gateway Mall and continue our family tradition of building a new member of our family.  We visited Build a Bear, and with Piper and Kendell's help, we created Avery Panda Jones.  In case anyone is wondering, we have 3 other created children; Taylor, London, and Lilly. After Build a Bear, we walked around the mall and checked out the other stores and say the Wayne Jones Family brick at the Winter Olympics Fountain.  I had heard of a fondue restaurant downtown, and wanted to take Ashurity there on Saturday for lunch.  But we discovered they are only open during the evening, so we took the whole family and tried it out.  Couple of things for anyone that wants to goto the Melting Pot.  1. Make sure you have a reservation! We ended up waiting for over an hour for a table because we missed this step.  We got in, but it was late, and the kids were tired.  Not exactly a romantic evening, but it was fun! 2. The cheese fondue appetizer and chocolate fondue dessert were delicious. The main course was so-so.  I would recommend skipping the main course.
After dinner, it was back to the hotel for some well deserved sleep!!

I will continue the story in the next posting!  ;0)

Kendell is rolling over, laughing, sitting, cut his first tooth on March 26th. He loves playing with his toys, loves his sister. Even when she plays a bit rough. He can roll but is content to stay on his back watching what everyone else is doing around him. Kendell is in the middle of the back seat in the car with Piper on his left. They love being close to each other so much that frequently Piper will ask for his hand and they will play in the car while holding hands. They share a room and are able to sleep through each others noises most of the time. When Kendell wakes up Piper will sleep through his screaming. If Piper is throughing a fit about going to bed Kendell might stir a bit but sleep through her screams. We are truly blessed to have such wonderful kids and love everyday we get to play with and teach them.

Happy Birthday Piper and other happenings in March

Okay so wrapping a present is not my fortey. I used a blanket. I can't believe my baby girl is 3 already, though if you ask her she will say. "I am not a baby!" Happy Birthday Princess!

Piper likes her kitchen so much she comes down every night to "cook" dinner.

My former roommate and friend Heather Harrison made the birthday cake for Piper. Piper's request was a purple tinkerbell party so she got a tinkerbell cake and purple decorations. The cake looked awesome and tasted so GREAT!

Piper has loved her "Uncle Blake" shirts so much and was devestated when she couldn't fit into them anymore. She now has 5 new uncle Blake shirts to wear for a long time. They are all unique and original, hand made by Blake Jones.

This is a bad picture of Piper but along with Tinkerbell she also really likes Ariel from the little mermaid. Almost everynight after her bath she says she is Ariel with red hair. I am sure this doll will be played with alot.
Rosetta from Tinkerbell, Piper now has a couple different fairy dolls and she carries them all in her new Tinkerbell backpack.

A Loveable purple blouse and skirt for Piper to wear. Since purple is her favorite color I am thinking this is one outfit she will wear at least once a week. :)
Kendell has also had a busy month. He is now 6 months old and growing like a weed. He is sitting up, rolling over, and just tonight I saw a bit of a tooth ready to pop through. I put him on the scale a few days ago and it said 14 pounds but we will see in the next few days after the check up.

The matching pj's we had to take a picture to document it before Kendell got too big for his. I love the monkeys and the green brown combination.

Our family tradition of going to Build a Bear for our anniversary. Of course the kids go with us and help in "making" the newest sibling.  This is Avery Panda Jones
 Avery gets her first bath
Then she needs to get dressed. Kendell is content to play with his toys while waiting.

The naming station where Avery got her name and birth certificate.
Kendell and Daddy hanging out at the Gateway Mall

Piper loved her chocolate dipped pretzel and only gave me one bite. We have a Jones family brick that we had to show Piper and take a picture of us with it.

We went to the Melting Pot for a dinner. Some of the food is better than other's but we still would probably go back for the chocolate or the cheese fondue.

Randi, Cassidy, and Aunt LaWayne also came to dinner with us one night and then back to the hotel swimming. It was fun so visit with them.
