Is your child eating what's best for her?

Is your child eating what's best for her?

Building good nutritional habits in children starts from young. Children with fussy eating habits, who dislike fruits and vegetables in particular, might not be getting enough vitamins and minerals whilst children who only enjoy indulging in excessive unhealthy foods like sweets and fast foods, can lead to cultivation of poor eating habits and may have negative long-term health implications.

Now, your child can enjoy all the goodness of fruits and vegetables in a glass of milk.

New DUMEX® All in One is a great-tasting and nutritious growing up milk specially formulated to provide children aged 1-8 years with an all-round nutritional support.

It contains over 50 food ingredients, including a variety of fruit and vegetable extracts, fish oils (such as cod liver oil) and over 30 specific nutrients including AA, DHA, SA – important components of brain tissues and LcFOS – prebiotic fructo-oligosaccharides that support a healthy digestive system.

Sample not available at the moment.

Free Cone Day

Ben & Jerry’s Give Thanks
For 30 Legendairy Years

Let the party begin, life begins at 30! On Tuesday 29th April 2008 Ben & Jerry’s will celebrate their 30th birthday with their annual Free Cone Day. Yes, participating Ben & Jerry’s shops across the country – and around the world - will serve up any cone or cup of your choice, absolutely free!

It was 30 years ago that two real friends, Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield, started with a $5 course in ice cream making and one scoop shop in Vermont, USA. Thanks to a surprising mix of big chunks, sweet swirls and political activism, Ben & Jerry’s soon turned into a worldwide phenomenon. So what better way to join us in celebrating their 30th birthday, than with a free scoop of your favourite flavour.

Free Cone Day was first celebrated back in 1979, in the original Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shop - a dilapidated gas station in Burlington, Vermont. The day was created to thank loyal customers for their support during Ben & Jerry’s first year in business.

So come down and celebrate with any of the five legend-dairy funky flavours on offer - Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Chocolate Fudge Brownie, New York Super Fudge Chunk, Strawberry Cheesecake and Chunky Monkey.

For your chance to take part in Free Cone Day simply:
• Put 29th April in your diary
• Find out where your nearest participating scoop shop is by visiting (refer to Appendix I)
• Visit the scoop shop on 29th April between 12pm and 7pm
• Choose a scoop of free ice cream from the five funky flavours
• Enjoy!

Tan Lee Ken, Brand Champ for Ben & Jerry’s says:
"Free Cone Day is our way of saying thank you to our loyal fans, and with 30 years to celebrate, we’re planning to smash last year’s record of giving away over 42,000 scoops. So whether you're in the East or West, North or Central we invite you to stop by any of our participating Ben & Jerry's Scoop Shops for a free scoop.”

Notes to Editors:
Ben & Jerry's Homemade Inc., was founded in 1978 in a renovated gas station in Burlington, Vermont, USA, by childhood friends and dedicated activists Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield. The two friends started their ice
cream careers with a $5 ice cream making correspondence course from Penn State University and a $12,000 investment ($4,000 of which was borrowed).

They soon became popular in the local community for their innovative flavours, made from fresh Vermont milk and cream and large portions of whatever ingredients they felt tasted good on the day of making! While they both disagreed at times over flavour combinations, what they did both agree was that they were in this business to enjoy themselves as well as earn a living. As Jerry put it "If it's not fun, why do it?"

MAS: Notes with "KF" marking have no value

The Money Authority of Singapore (MAS) says the $50 notes with the letters "KF" marked on them are considered to be deliberately mutilated and they command no value.

This reply came in response to a feedback from Lee, who said he withdrew several $50 notes from OCBC Compass Point, of which three had the letters "KF" printed on them.

When he consulted the bank about the notes, he was told that there was no problem with the notes.

However, MAS says the letters "KF", which appear to be marking stamped onto the note, are not part of the design of the $50 note.

It advises the public who receive the notes with the "KF" marking to bring them back to the banks for one-for-one exchange.

This is the reply from the MAS in full:"The letters "KF", which appear to be marking stamped onto the note, are not part of the design of the $50 note.

"Notes with such marking are considered to be deliberate mutilation and they command no value."

We advise members of public who receive notes with the "KF" marking to bring them to the banks for one-for-one exchange."

It's a beautiful day.

Finally no more cloudy day. This day is full of sunshine. Just in time to visit Dr. Adrain once again. Appt was fixed at 10.30am but we were early and the good thing about being early is you will be seen early too.. Haha noticed there isn't anyhuge crowd, and true enough my name was being called within 10min. I realised most of the "almost" due mummies to-be must have already given birth too..

Jadon is as active as usual, kicking and punching when everyone of us wanna take a closer look at him. everything is good. Im sure he is well taken care of. Jadon has grown twice his weight since the week before CNY. He was apprximately 500gm that time, to-date, he is 1kg.

Mummy has been feeding Jadon faithfully I guessed.

On our way back to the carpark,, Janine gave her stare at one of the toy vending machine. Looking at it for a long long time, exploring what's inside. I remembered the 1st time we introduced her the toy vending machine was when we brought her to KKH A&E during her time of stomach flu. She seems bored by the long hours of waiting so wy wanna get something for her to cheer her up. If I didn't remember wrongly, the machine was empty, so the tu-tu parents threw in the dollar coin expecting something in return but was in vain. Unfortunately that was our one and only dollar coin, so poor Janine has got nothing in the end.

To my amaze was, she still remembers the structure of the machine, and those attractive cartoons graphic/posters. Wy couldn't help by digging out his coin pouch, fish out a dollar coin and had gotten her a toy which slowly rolled out from the machine. Gently, Janine put her little hand into the pocket and collected her new toy. Her face lifted immediately.

Gosh, those innocent smile. Melt my heart away. We loved Janine so so much.
