Valentine's Date

Hans and I love Greek Food, always have.  There was an amazing place in SLC when we first were married called the Hungry I, but it has been gone for years and we've been looking.

We heard about this place, Aristo's, on 13th east in SLC, but just hadn't made it up to check it out. So we decided that an excuse of a Valentine's Date was perfect.
And it was.

 Cute Hans.
Pita that was warm, buttery and salty. So good.
We ordered a hummus/dip sampler that came with pita, cucumbers and olives.  Traditional hummus, traditional yogurt and cucumber dip (tzatziki), and melizanosalata which is a roasted eggplant dip.  They all were unique and divine! We loved the different combos!
Then we also ordered a meat sampler (chicken, gyro meat, pork and keftethes-little greek meatballs) and a Greek salad.

We were stuffed.

Such a fun night, to be with my Love, enjoying food, conversation and time (something we seem to have very little of).  I love you Hans, I'm so grateful that you are mine and I am yours!
Happy Valentines!

Mom and Dad's Birthdays

Look at them....
Two of the most beautiful people I know.
Can you believe they are 75 and 77?
This picture was taken on Mom's birthday, February 3rd, when they came to see Gray play.  They were up for the weekend from Manti, so we decided to throw them a little party since Dad's birthday was in just 9 days!
My sister Kelly drove in from Ridgeway, Colorado just for fun and told them she was their present.
I love her!
A lot of the family came (Skousens, Gublers, Bushnells, Jones, and some of the many Pinegars) and after a yummy soup and salad dinner, we sang Happy Birthday and they each blew out a candle. I asked them what dessert/cake they would request for their birthdays and Dad picked Cherry Supreme and Mom picked Pecan Wedges.
We love a reason to celebrate! 75 and 77 have never looked so good! I sure love you Mom and Dad, I'm so grateful I'm your girl!
