8th Grade Champs!

I have yet to figure out how to get really good action photos....
especially without being annoying to my Grayson!
So here are just some shots after they beat Timpview in the championship game!

Billy & Elton

About a year ago I heard that Billy Joel and Elton John were coming in concert! Hans has been a fan for years, specifically because of their amazing piano skills. The concert couldn't have been more perfectly scheduled...November 20th, the day after Hans' 39th birthday! I was so excited to keep it a secret and surprise him.....until.... he walked in with the mail and handed me an envelope and said, "I don't think I was supposed to open this" ...oh man! He saw the tickets and was way excited, but was nervous I was going to kill him for ruining the surprise!
I NEVER get to surprise him....
maybe one day!
Then on Hans' birthday, a big announcement was made....the concert was being rescheduled because Elton John was sick!
Rescheduled for February 19th!
We were so sad, we had planned a whole weekend in SLC for Hans' birthday and the concert was the main event! We still had a blast...one of the best meals of our lives...at Pago (go if you haven't gone....amazing!) and a fun movie and night with out the kids!

So finally February 19th came!!!

We got ready and our photographer Josie took our picture!

The place was packed and we had awesome seats! Only 17 rows from the stage! Dead center!

We met up with Jill after the show! She was hoarse from such a fun time!

It was a great night! Hans and I had a blast and really enjoyed ourselves!
And I have to say it.
Elton is amazing.
But oh Billy....you've got me!
Incredible!

After a long run yesterday in the snow/rain,
I walked back up to my house and
joy filled my soul!

Bring it on Spring, I've never been so ready!
Thank you daffodils, from the bottom of my heart!

So training for another event has begun!
This year it's the WASATCH BACK...... here is how they describe it....

Think of it as a 188-mile party with 12 best friends. Teams of 12 will rock out to live bands, enjoy the wacky participant costumes, and make life-long friends with teammates and competitors. Teams will party along the backside of the beautiful Wasatch Mountains from Logan (85 miles north of Salt Lake City) to Park City, Utah (15 miles east of Salt Lake City).

I'm leg 3 and hope to run all 18.4 miles. It sounds really adventurous and fun, I'm dang excited!

One of the best parts of this event, is the pre race fun!
We've had two planning meetings, that included cupcakes, food, party favors and tons of laughing.
Our team color is pink and Hans, the stud, created this awesome logo for out team.....

Yes, our team name is....
The Housewives of the UC
It's all in total fun.
We even have "Spice" names, because as our Captain says,
"A little bit of sweet, a whole lot of spice!"
Or Sass as the case may be.
We all came up with them together, I'm
Gourmet Spice
(It's cute, but a little too much pressure!)
