Family Pictures 2010

Happy New Year! May 2011 be AMAZING!

Christmas Eve Festivities

So lucky for us, we got both sets of Grandparents this year!  We couldn't be happier!

So, we know, we are full of family traditions....but this night was created by me....it's our new Christmas Eve tradition!  And it's British....just a little yummier!
First we open our Christmas Crackers and put on our funny hats and tell the silly jokes!

I have pictures of all the food, because I'm a nut, but I'll just tell you the menu....Pot Roast, gravy, Yorkshire puddings, peas, roasted potatoes and pineapple.  The traditional British dinner was delightful and the pineapple was an ode to it's meaning and this little blog....all about family!

After, we went in the front room to do what we refer to as the "Jesus Stocking."  We write down what we are willing to give Jesus this year for his birthday.  It's a nice way to start a new year's resolution.  We look at them next year to see how we did.  Grandma Magleby decided that she wanted to give some additional gifts to the kids, things that they always like when they are at their house.  Josie got a large sea shell that she has loved "forever."  Rock got a treasure box full of tiny cars...he was thrilled.  Tru got a hand carved fetish bear...."how did you remember that I loved this Grandma?"  Chloe got a mirror that needs some artwork.  And Gray got a painting done by his Dad in college.  Very cool night Grandma, so fun to share these treasures!
We then returned to the table for some trifle and sticky toffee pudding!
Life is sweet!  Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve Nap

On Christmas Eve day, Rock was getting a little grouchy from all the previous late nights.  I told him to rest on his bed for the next half hour.  He did, but he never fell asleep.  When I told him he could come upstairs, he came straight up to the couch.  I didn't really notice for a few minutes, but by the time I did, he was fast asleep.  Penguin, wrapped around his face, keeping it nice and dark.  Such a funny guy!

Cute Josie

All bundled up for a night out!  What a cutie! We think she looks like a mix between Edith and Agnes on Despicable Me....what do you think?

Night Out

Before Christmas was over and done with, we made sure we went down to enjoy the newly remodeled  Shops at Riverwoods.  It is such a fun place and we want to make sure it stays around awhile.  We went with our friends the Knells. Walked around, enjoyed the lights and the fires, sliders at Marleys and then hit the movie Tron at Wynsong

Outside of Marley's there is a "Zoltar" like in the movie Big.  Truman put his quarter in and everyone had a good laugh!

Great night with friends and family! Loved sharing it with the Knells! Love you guys!

Tuckered out!

After a long day playing in the snow, Josie drove with us to get some pizza.
On the way home, we noticed she had dozed off and caught this little video......
Hee hee hee!

Snow Day!

The last day of school before Christmas break, we got over a foot of snow!  The kids came home early and we went to play!
 Our snow angel!

Josie's Christmas Concert

Josie was so lucky to be able to sit by Ruby at their preschool Christmas program. They sang songs like Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and We Wish You a Merry Christmas.

They did a great job!

Here are the three cul de sac buddies!  Ruby, Josie and Sophie!  What darling girls!
