S.I.C.K
Yes, I've been really ill last week.
Looking back at it, it started during my exams. In the midst of preparing my exams, with irregular sleep and long hours of studying, a little cold got hold of me.
Then there was this very 'xiong' TWM retreat, which makes me fall to my knees. After 'cutting the 10m tree', my whole body couldn't seems to move, every movement I make, a muscle gets stretched and I feel its ache and strain. Aww... painful.
I guess that's when my immune system is down. Cough bacteria invaded and I'm down with flu and cough. Still I went for my rejoicing baptism event, getting wet and running to the toilet asap for the swiftest relieve out of my wet clothes.
Then on Sat, I embarked on a door-to-door goody-bags-giving session. It was tiring. Running around the block especially when the design of the block is so 'unique'. And yes, after that we went to Bliss @ Punggol Park for some light entertainment. Never did I know, I was suffering throughout the whole night. We stay there till 6am the next morning. I wanted to go home but too bad, my pretty sister wants to stay and play. It was torturous for me. Feel nauseous over the drink, with my cough and flu acting. Terrible.
I need rest but there was no time for me to rest. The next morning we had our last training for Hutan Melintang camp and then at night a wedding dinner of my ex-colleague.
Monday morning came. It's the beginning of our Hutan Melintang trip. The first day was still alright. My body can still make it. But on the 2nd day, fever comes and I feel so weak that day. Not to say that my voice was getting worse.
I never knew how bad a lost voice can be. And now I know, the day came when we can go back to SG, I cannot even speak at all. Try this, open ur mouth and try to utter a sound, but your throat aches so painfully whenever u try and still there was no sound produced. Felt like a mute at that time, I can only use my body language. It's really a pity that I cannot have lots of fun with the teens in this trip. But it's good to see them grow.
When I was back, I went to see the doc. He says I can't go overseas. It was bad really. I didn't know I had been feverish the whole day till he measured my temperature. It was 37.8. Guess it must have been worse when fever first broke out for me cuz I feel much more terrible.
So there goes my Perek trip with the youth. I really wanted to go. And I couldn't. My heart really sank and I was so disappointed. Seems like I always miss out something.
But thank God, I slowly begin to recover with much rest and mecidine.
Right now, I still have a sexy voice with a little cough and flu.
But now, I really know what it means to rest in the Lord. It is to be obedient.

My baptism day - 07Dec07
It was a joyous occasion! Finally, after many years, I can be baptised! Even though my parents were not there, I am still very grateful for my brothers and sisters and rebels to be there to witness this important event.
Rebels even surprised me! Initially, all of them either cannot come or will be tremendously late so I was rather disappointed, but yet (!) they came at 8.15pm! AW!!! I was very surprised though I didnt express it on my face. Your presence is the greatest gift. You know what? I prayed for all of you to come, and He answered my prayer!
I am so proud of my gifts that my dear fellow friends have given me.Take a look!

Today is an extremely elated day for me!I thought I would be feeling just happy, but it was much more than that! I was like sitting on the tip of the rocket and I am flying to the end of the Earth, nearer to God. Oh! I love baptism! And the presents too. Can I baptise again and receive so many presents again? haha!Just joking!

Juliana's birthday surprise!

But it was quite successful la.
They were all lying on the floor and doing some pre-skit exercise with their eyes close.
But Juliana PEEPED!!!
Then she saw me coming in with the cake but she didn't say anything.
When the exercise ended, then slowly all of them can open their eyes except Juliana.
Then we sang birthday song and cut cake for her.
Quite nice.
=)
