Introducing...

It's official! Introducing Womitu Pierson! We leave August 6th to go get her and bring her home!! It's been hard for us to concentrate on anything this week-we're so overcome with excitement! Can't wait to be a family of 4!

Catching Fire (Hunger Games, #2) Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
There are many that say Hunger Games was better, but I loved this book just as much, if not a little more! There were parts of the book I got frustrated thinking that the plot was too identical to the 1st book...but Collins redeemed herself and made it even better!
My biggest complaint is that it was such a cliffhanger at the end..I can't believe the author did that to all of us!! It's going to be a long wait till August.
LOVE Peeta and Katniss! I'm keeping the faith it'll all work out. Gale missed his chance.
I got through it so fast that I think I'm going to have to read it again to make sure I didn't miss anything.

FOR SALE

Not that I get many readers on this blog since I never update, but I thought this would be worth a try...violin for sale!! Isn't it pretty?! It was made in '94 but was only played for 2 or 3 years. I need to sell it so I can pursue a 'bigger' instrument dream. It's full size, and if you're really interested I have more info....any takers??

2010

This year has already brought about many changes...I don't know if I'm ready for 2010!
Changes with my work are quite stressful but we are hopeful that it will somehow work out for the best. On the plus side, it will be great to be home every evening to help out with Madi's bedtime routine and have more time with Kent. Home health is taking a huge beating from Medicare. It's unknown if it will be 1 year or many before it gets back to where it was...Oh well, you can't ride the gravy train forever right?
I think the Lord knows that I'm not handling the job thing very well, so He gave me something to be very hopeful about. We're now #1 on our waiting list to adopt a sweet baby girl from here:

That means we could get a call any day that there is a baby for us!! We're unbelievably excited! It's been a long journey and we can't wait to add to our family.

Here are more pictures from Xmas..all the Pierson grandkids + 2 on the way! It's still not easy to get them all to sit still and look at the camera at the same time.

The Hill clan. Everyone came home for Christmas and it was so great to be together. Ryan from Oregon, Rach and Trent from Texas and Col and Kelc from Connecticut. Like Rach said, you'd think it would get easier to say goodbye, but it's not. I hate having everyone spread out.

These guys are the loves of my life. We have so much fun together. I'm one lucky girl. We made it through Kent's peak work time still married, and it was actually a lot easier for me this year than year's past. I'm glad it's over though. I missed this guy.

I can't wait for these summer days to return!! Madi is already talking about swimming, playing football and seeing flying dumbo...
