decided to do another update
after one week of bumming, back to school. this time i am the student... not a teacher... feels good to be student but this would not last long.... however when you are a teacher, it doesn't mean that you stop learning... you learn from ur own students as well....
hmmz... the new generation thinking... its definitely different from what i was when i was their age.... anyway, its fun... but well.... sometimes i wished they'll be more responsible towards their own life... have been reading some of my students' blog and looking at the friendsters' pictures... can see how they are getting on with their lives... some of their problems, crap and dilemmas... they definitely lead a more carefree life... enjoy while you still can... as you get older, you shoulder more responsibilities... and yes... love is simple & sweet to you now... but pls do not let it get in the way.... as a young adult... studies are still important.... remember that you are living in an ever competitive society... you need to be competent and independent.... dun expect to be fed all the time... you need to look for ur own survival tools.... nothing is free.. u need to work for it...
there are some who are slightly more mature.... i am glad that they are thinking... but yes... don't get overly stressed and sensitive... its not healthy... sometimes just let go and go with the flow... things would normally fall into place... :) i am particulary impressed with 3 students whom i have taught.... i know that they are thinking for themselves.... shall not pin point the names... but yes... thanks for driving me on as a teacher.... its good to know that there are always responsible and disciplined students...
the other day i kenna trojan horse.... from Minnie... so please.... scan your pcs... haha...

short getaway
Just came back from M'sia, Genting Highlands... Short getaway from the ever hussle and bustle of S'pore... The stressful and hectic life... Well... not that Genting is a calming place... It's a theme park for goodness sake... It's equally noisy... haha... Well... just wanna find an excuse to get out of S'pore... But it was quite tiring because we took the over nite bus... We reached Genting at 4 am in the morning!!! OMG... it was absolutely tiring... I was like a walking zombie for the 1st 5 hours... To add to the agony... We could only check in at 11am.... It was a long 7 hours wait.... All the shops were still closed.... Nothing to do... you could see a couple of zombies wandering from hotel to hotel... struggling to stay warm and awake... I wished I was back home sleeping... The day only got better after we finally checked in... Had lunch... went to the serene temple near the peak... It was a newly completed temple I think... The last time we were there in March last year, it was still under constuction... Now its 90% completed... The big stone buddha statue was great.... Though not as good as the one at Hong Kong Lantau Island... It was still a majestic piece of work... here's some pictures we took:
It's quite calming and peaceful at the temple... From the pics... I bet you can't believe you can find such a nice place at Genting!!!
After we the temple visit, we went back to the theme park... Didn't try anything rides because we already tried it the last time we drove up ourselves... Nothing exciting already... So save our money.... haha... met the colleagues for dinner, spent 30 min at the KTV (sang "wo huai nian de") then we left to watch Ratatouille at the cineplex. Nice! The animation is good! Love it! Wanted to be more ambitious and carry on with Rush Hour 3 at 1.30am but too tired to even stay wake... We went back to the room after the movie, had our beer and fell fast sound asleep! Too tired, to replenish our lost sleep the day before I guess... Slept all the way to the alarm sounded at 9am this morning... Gd sleep. Now my man is sound asleep because he is down with a cold I think, runny nose.... and warm body... forced water down him... Sometimes I feel I am living with a camel (don't need water).
Today we spent another 6 hours on the bus, but time flies because there was movie for us to watch on the coach...
It's going to be a good short break for me in the coming break...
