Little Fatty
Madeline is sporting one of the cute headbands that Auntie Kristi sent her. We've decided that her eyes are going to be blue because they haven't changed at all. It looks like we've got a brown-eyed boy and a blue-eyed girl. We still don't know what color her hair is going to be. She's pretty much a baldy right now.

Fancy Feet
My friend Camie came over and did glitter toes for us last night. It was so much fun, and I love the results! I guess I'll just have to wear my sandals from now on, even though it won't stop snowing here. As far as I'm concerned, it's spring, and I don't care if there's snow on the ground. I'm so ready for some sunshine and warm weather.
Guess who the blue ones belong to? I'll give you a hint--they're not Madeline's. Alexander was dead set on "being on the list" to get his toes done. We explained that boys don't get their toes done, that he would probably feel silly, that people might tease him, etc., etc. His only response was, "WELL, ERIC SAID I SHOULD TRY THEM!" Eric is Camie's husband, and he HAD told Alexander he should try them because he saw that my sister had painted Alexander's toes a few weeks ago. He was joking, but Alexander took it to heart.
So I decided that it couldn't hurt to let the little guy get a pedicure. Alexander happily told us afterward that he looks like a rockstar. Well...maybe a somewhat feminine one. Justin's glad there's snow on the ground because it means Alexander still has to wear socks, ensuring that nobody will really see his glam toes.
Madeline even got her very first pedicure. Lucky girl. She didn't really think so, though. All she did was kick and squirm to free her foot from my hand. Some day she'll appreciate it.
