I hope spring is coming to your part of the country. Our azaleas and dogwoods are in full bloom and it is beautiful in East Texas.
Hi, Joy today showing you how I met Classy Cards 'n Such Die Cuts Challenge - with supplies from Classy Cards 'n Such. I have a Circut and a Silhouette, but rarely get them out because I love using my Vagabond for die cuts.
Here is my card
I cut two flower vine die cuts from Anna Griffin's Die called Flower Vine. Both were sponged with pink and green ink. The flowers were cut off one of the die cuts and layered on top of the other die cut with small Joy Foam Dots. This was glued onto the journal page shaped die from My Favorite Things Blueprints 4. Tiny lace edges were cut from Allisons' Ribbons. The sentiment was stamped on one of the Blueprints 4 dies and matted on top of another rectangle die from this set and popped up with Large Joy Foam Dots. The sentiment stamp is from Inky Antics called Mighty Tower with the little flourish from the Spring Words Stamp Set. The butterfly was hand cut from the Black-Eyes Susan Vintage Labels Five by JustRite, colored and attached with Joy Foam Dots.

Here is a peek at how the layered flowers look close up.
P.S. The Joy Foam Dots comes in two sizes - I love the small ones because they fit onto tiny areas.
The Blueprints 4 Die set has a great variety of dies (journal page, heart, lace, button, rectangles, star) - great bang for your money. The journal page die in the set is perfect if you do Simple Stories or Project Life Scrapbooking.
Thanks for looking at my card. Have a HAPPY stamping day.

Classy Cards 'n Such Challenge
Hi - is it spring yet? Surely it's not too far off in your area! Joy here posting a card for Classy Cards 'n Such Silly or Funny April Fool's Day Challenge. This gave me an opportunity to use the Stamp Set called Just Keep Calm by JustRite Stamps. This is a giant set that has 64 images and sayings. It has so many funny "Stay Calm" sentiments. Here is one of them
I used Sparkle 'n Sprinkles White Embossing Powder for the frame and sentiment and cut it out with Spellbinders Nested Oval Medallion. The ribbon is a little bit of Egg Shell Seam Binding. The paper is from a Summer Fresh 6x6 pad. You might recognize the tiny little scallop - it comes from my favorite die called Allison's Ribbons by Cheery Lynn Designs.

Project of the Week from Repeat Impresssions
Wendy owner of Repeat Impressions asked me to do a Project of the Week and I jumped at the opportunity. I have a confession - I do not color very well (that's a understatement). But I've found a way to achieve coloring that suits me - it's watercoloring - because I don't have to be exact and I can color outside the lines and it's ok!
So my Project of the Week is watercoloring with Tim Holtz Distress Inks. These inks have a translucent quality that is perfect for watercoloring - but they are in pads - so today I'll show you how you can use Distress Inks to obtain the results you want.
Here are the supplies we are going to use:
Tim Holtz Distress Inks
Heat Gun
Black Embossing powder
Water color paper (found these on clearance at HL - yeah!)
Stamp called Bass Harbor large (one of my favorite places in Maine)
Sentiment stamp called Maine - the way life should be
Water paint brush
acrylic block
Stamp image onto the textured side of watercolor paper with Staz-on black ink, cover with black embossing powder, shaking off excess and heat set
Spray water on block and mix with Distress Ink gathered on water brush.
Start with lighter colors, mixing colors as needed
Mat with light blue and dark blue (colors of Maine!)
Here is my card. This card took less than 20 minutes - because I don't have to be exact in coloring. Quick and Easy!
Be sure to check out the other Rock Star Designers' projects each week. Remember Repeat Impressions has a challenge every week that you can join in and have a chance to win some fabulous prizes. You can find the challenges every Wednesday at The House That Stamps Built. We love to see what you create.
Thank you for looking at my card - have a HAPPY stamping day!

Susan's Gardens Challenge from Classy Cards 'n Such
When I heard the challenge from Classy Cards 'n Such would be to use a flower from Susan's Gardens Dies, I was so excited. These are quality dies that help you make the most beautiful flowers that can be used on lots of different projects.
I made a little box for a bracelet I made my granddaughter.
First, a little match type box was made using the Mini Scor-Buddy. Then flower parts were cut using the Lily from Susan's Garden. To texturized the individual petals and the leaves, I used the medium ball stylus from the Susan's Garden Tool Kit. This tool kit was purchased because it has a moulding pad and a leaf pad. There is another version of the tool kit called Paper Blossoms Tool Kit and it has a cute carrying case. The flower was quickly assembled on top of a separate piece of card stock in case I messed up the flower, I would not need to do another box. - Next time I won't to this because the flower assembly was so quick and easy. I used a Tim Holtz Rusty Hinge Distress Marker to make the little freckles in the petals. Before the stamen was glued in the center, the tips were dipped in a little glue and then dipped into some flower soft. The Art Institute Adhesive is one of the best around for assembling these flowers and is perfect for the flower soft.
I love doing these flowers - they can be used for so many projects. I saw a wreath made from different Susan's Garden dies - it was heavenly!
Project Supplies:
Mini Scor-Buddy
Lily from Susan's Garden
Susan's Garden Tool Kit or Paper Blossoms Tool Kit
Tim Holtz Distres Marker
Art Institute Adhesive
Now - I'm off to make a few more of these beauties - have a happy stamping day!

Hi, Joy here, letting you know about a Classy Cards n Such Inspiration Challenge. Here is our inspiration.
And here is my card:

The little flowers are from the Cherry Lynn die called Build a Flower #1, the leaves are Petals and Leaves #1 and the Border is Allison's Ribbons. The stamp is from Our Daily Bread Designs and is called Ornate Frame Sentiments. In this set there is a great variety of stamps from Happy Birthday to God Bless You.
It would be so much fun for us if you would join in the challenge - make a project using these colors and post it on Beverly's blog. Be sure to read all the specifics of the challenge on her blog.

Repeat Impressions Designer's Choice Challenge
Hi! Today at Repeat Impressions, one of the Rock Stars - Karen challenged us to make a project with the colors of Black and White, plus one other color. What a great challenge, Karen! Eeeek.... I had to do a little thinking on this one.
Here is my card.
I used one of my favorite images (I know, I say that all the time) because when you stamp this image, it has a little tiny texture in the wings that is beautiful! The image is from the Summer Series and the sentiment is from Big Boys Toys - this series has some fabulous sentiments and great images. The paper is from my scrap mountain! I colored the wings with a few copic and then went over all of it with a Clear Spica Glitter Pen. If you have never tried one of these pens - this would be a wonderful opportunity. I love these pens and use them on almost all my cards. The little sparkle that they add makes a big difference in your projects. I just wish I knew how to photograph the sparkle!
Ok, now head on to look at the other Rock Star Design Team Members projects. Then make one and link it on Wendy's blog, The House That Stamps Built and you could be the randomly drawn winner of a nice gift certificate from Repeat Impressions.

Papertrey Ink Make It Monday Challenge
Today at Papertrey Ink, Dawn McVey challenged us to make a card or two using two watercolor techniques. She has a great video demo here.
Great techniques that are REALLY quick and easy - I needed a couple of cards to mail today so this was perfect for me! I even have plenty of time to write in them before the mailman comes.
Here are my cards:
I used the stamp sets called Think Big Favorites #3 and Mini Blooms. The polka dot paper is really a pretty deep purple called Royal Velvet. The "hello friend" is on watercolor paper and the "thinking of you is on Stampers Select.

Classy Cards 'n Such and Twinkling H2Os
Hi, it's Joy today showing you a couple of cards I made using some great supplies I found at Classy Cards 'n Such.
I wasn't sure what the big deal was about Twinkling H20s, but with this challenge -- I now understand! THESE are fabulous paints to use with cards. As soon as they are completely dry, the colors just sparkle and shine - I'm painting chipboard frames this afternoon and then I'm going to look for other things to paint!
I used two very different techniques. On the first one, after wetting the Twinkling H2Os, I mounted a stamp from a set called Black Eyed Susan by JustRite and painted directly onto it. Water was lightly spritzed onto the painted stamp and stamped onto watercolor paper. It made a flowing watercolor type of image - I love this technique. After it was completely dry, the sparkle just popped out! The ribbon was colored by putting a little of the color into the Spritzer Bottle and sprayed onto Chalk White Seam Binding and when it dried - it was so shiny! The butterfly from Black Eyed Susan stamp set was stamped, painted, cut out and popped up with Joy Foam Dots. The green background paper is from The Lake House by Kaisercraft.

For the next card Twinkling H2Os were used just like regular water colors with a Tim Holtz Water Brush after the same image was stamped on watercolor paper. The sentiment was cut out using Spellbinders Vintage Labels Five and popped up with Joy Foam Dots. Again the butterfly was stamped, painted, cut out and popped up with Joy Foam Dots. The pretty green Designer paper is called Harvest Lane by Simple Stories
I just wish you could see the sparkle - is amazing! Oh, dear, I've got a new habit. I now want every color. Beverly, owner of Classy Cards 'n Such describes them as "delightful little pots of color with a touch of sparkle" - and they are!!

Papertrey Ink Make It Monday
Today at Papertrey Ink, Heather showed us how to layer pigment and dye inks and the results is a technique called "velveteen stamping". You can see the video at this link. Here is my card:
I used the stamp sets called Pretty Peonies and Turning a New Leaf. The Pretty Peonies is last year's anniversary set.
I like seeing what others do with these Make It Mondays, why don't you watch the video and post a card? Thank you for looking at mine - have a HAPPY stamping day!

Classy Cards 'n Such Cast Your Cares Card
Hi, Joy here today showing you a card I made from supplies from Classy Cards 'n Such. I have loved the 6.5x6.5 paper pad called The Lake House - I giggle because I have loved this pad so much I've already gone thru 2 of them. This is from some left over scraps. These scraps will soon be gone!
This is for a friend who is going thru a difficult time and I'm hoping this will encourage her, The dark green filigree mat is from Decorative Labels Eight with a sentiment from a set by Flourishes called Cast All Your Cares stamped on a Vintage Labels Two.
I placed a 2x2 square in the middle of a mat and then arranged scrap strips around that square. On top of that I popped up the dark green filigree die and then on top of that I popped up the sentiment. So this card has a lot of depth to it.
Thank you for looking at my card. Have a HAPPY stamping day.

Classy Cards 'n Such Many Thanks Card
Hi! Joy here, posting a thanks card using products from Classy Cards 'n Such. I'm still writing a few thank you notes for goodies sent to me at Christmas. Here is one that uses some scraps of my favorite 6.5x6.5 paper pad called The Lake House. The filigree corner is from Decorative Blossom Corners by Spellbinders. This is the smaller one in the set. The sentiment is from Impressive Obsession's Thanks Sentiment Stamp Set.
This was an easy card to put together. I cut strips of paper measuring about 1inch, lined them up, making sure that my sentiment would be on one with a light background. Cutting the filigree corner was so easy when wax paper was put between the paper and the die before running thru my Vagabond. These were placed on a black mat and then placed on my folded white cardstock.
I appreciate you looking at my card. Have a HAPPY stamping day.

This week Papertrey Ink is celebrating it's 7th Anniversary. Each day there will be a celebration with a challenge and a give way. Check it out here
Today the challenge was to gather 7 supplies in 7 minutes and then make a card in 17 minutes. Whew....Usually I'm a slow card maker so for me, this is a REAL challenge.
Here is my timer and my collected supplies:
Here is my card and timer! I CAN NOT believe I made it. Teaches me that I can do quick cards. But you should see the desk - I was throwing stuff around and scrambling like crazy - but my was it fun!!
For the second challenge I participated in, this was the sketch I used:

Repeat Impressions Sketch Time!
Today Wendy, owner of Repeat Impressions has one of her great sketches she would like for you to try. Here is the sketch:
Great sketch Wendy, with lots of possibilities! Here is what I did:
I love the little feathers stamp called Falling Feathers, because there is so much detail in them. The sentiment is In All Things of nature...
We would love for you to show us what you would do with this sketch. Just make a project and link it on Wendy's blog, The House That Stamps Built and she will have a random drawing for a nice gift certificate from Repeat Impressions. Here is the Rock Star Design Team that have made a few projects to inspire you. You do not have to use Repeat Impressions Stamps, but if you do have some - show them off and your name will go in twice for that gift certificate!

Think Pink at Classy Cards 'n Such
THINK PINK is the challenge today at Classy Cards 'n Such. Easy - easy since I love pink so much. Another thing I like is tags so for this challenge this one was easy-peezy!
Tag was layered using a die cut called Quinn Flourish cut from some of the paper from Key To My Heart, and a Spellbinders scalloped heart die layered on another heart die. The Happy Valentines Day sentiment is from Hugs & Kisses by JustRite and was stamped on some pink paper from the Key To My Heart pad. There is a little tiny gold scallop piece behind the heart and is a corner cut from a Romantic Rectangle Spellbinders die. This touch of gold gave the tag a little bright spot of interest. Before layering all the pieces I used a little Tim Holtz Distress Ink on the edges of each piece. The twine at the top is Doodle Bug twine (on sale right now).
