Pictures from December

Now, looking back at these pictures as I post them, December seems so long ago! And I feel that I did a fairly poor job of documenting the big events. I have a lot of pictures of the regular day-to-day, but I have almost nothing of Christmas day. I am going to chalk that up to the fact that I was so busy living in the moment that I could not have a camera up to my eye for even one second. It was definitely the best Christmas I can remember- for 2 reasons. I bet you know what they are :)

On to the pictures!

Check out that belly! Yes, she is playing with a balloon, but I need to get a picture of that pose before I took away the object unfit for children under 3.

Yet another use for the blankie. She thought this one up after watching Beauty and the Beast

Snatching a moment with sister's toy :)

Playing dress up- Blue insisted that Carli join in. As a side note- Blue's favorite baby (as pictured above) has gone missing. It has been a hard loss for our family. Blue grieved for a couple weeks and has since recovered. Mark and I still miss her a little. RIP Holly.

Love that Blue is holding Carli's bottle too... Carli is too busy holding her blanket!

This is a common occurrence in our house :) Just filling the tanks for the big Pidcock Christmas party---

Blue doesn't quite know what to expect I think

The favorite present- the soft Santa blanket

Just had to include this picture because my face is so funny.

See- a big hit.

Just had to throw in another picture of the lights. When Mark was taking them down Blue kept asking, "Why?" I told her Christmas was over. "Why?" I feel ya girl, I feel ya.

I love that I captured this- Blue having a little moment with her Great-Aunt

One day (after just making the bed- of course) Blue decided to climb and crawl around like a crazy nut. I put Carli up there and watched them play together.

I just have to remind myself there will be a time that once I make the bed it will stay made. That will also mean these munchkins won't be underfoot anymore. So, I try to enjoy it all- even if that means making the bed multiple times a day :)

Blue woke up with her hair like this one morning. I told her to go look in the mirror. She came back saying that she had one of those things like a horse. A mane? Yes- that's it. Right on girl.

This one just makes me laugh every time. It is tiring to be 2.

Gotta love sisters

They were both asleep and it was so cute. And then I went to go get the camera. Carli woke up of course. Still so cute.

This is the one picture I got of unwrapping presents. Literally. I can't be too sad though. It was so much fun!

Ready for church on Christmas

"Nope. You can't wear your high heels to church like Mommy."

We could barely tear her away from her Barbie house to go to family's

Carli enjoyed her toys too

Enjoying some cuddle time with Dad

Diaper? Check. Hair bow? Check. Shoes and socks? Check. Good to go!

I love that Blue is starting to be better about letting me fix her hair. She has also started keeping it in all day instead of pulling it out the second I am done!

Just cute.

ONE! And walking!

I can't believe our little bop is ONE! Just in the last month or so she has changed and grown so much. Her personality is really starting to come out and it has been SO much fun to watch. She is starting to talk and explore everything. She also has the funniest little face when she gets frustrated where she arches, throws her head back, squints her eyes and hollers with her top two big teeth poking out. Then once I give her what she was wanting, or show her how to do what she was trying to accomplish it is over and she is right back to normal like nothing ever happened. It has also been amazing to see how much she already understands even though she can't always communicate. She holds up her feet when I tell her we need to put on her shoes, she bounces up and down when I put on music and say to dance, she shares food with me when I ask for a bite, and the best is- when she hears the front door open and close she says Da-E! It is the cutest sound ever. And I love that she calls him Daddy instead of Dada. She even says her own name, but I haven't been able to capture it on video. Happy late birthday to my little "Car-E" :)

She even took her first steps last week! (Although I have not been really successful at getting her to progress any more. She is onto me and just holds her legs up in sitting position when I try to stand her on the floor for a little walking lesson.) See for yourself- I was trying to capture her walking again and after 2 minutes I was ready to give up when she did it! So I cut out the first 2 minutes and just got to the good stuff :)
