Here is July-
Carli is so easy going- so I took advantage and glammed her up a bit. Blue at this age (or any age I think) would have ripped off those earrings pretty quick, but I think Carli liked it. I kept singing Glamorous (by Fergie) to her. Since she looked glamorous with earrings I decided to really go for it:
even the tiara didn't seem to phase her :)
Blue has done this a lot this summer- worn a blanket as a "ponytail" on her head. She wears it so often I don't even bat an eye anymore when she brings me the blanket and rubber band and asks for a ponytail. She even wore it to the doctors office one day and I didn't even think twice about it. Someone at the library story time called her an Arabian princess! She thinks she is Rapunzel.
Carli is definitely my little cuddle bug. I love it!

I don't know if she is as happy with the real deal ponytail?
Hmmm.... I think my skirts are too accessible. I see this all too often.

Oh, and Mark's pajama pants too!
My little smiler. Notice the farmer's tan? Even her pediatrician noticed it! He commented that she has great skin. I promise I put sunblock on her, but we were outside a lot and I think she just tans great!

Blue is a regular monkey climber on our little swingset- she can pump herself on the swings and everything!
I made Blue a twirling dress as she calls it. Unfortunately she grew too fast and it shrunk a little after each washing so she got to wear it way too little this summer for all that hard work!
Mark and I took a lovely anniversary trip up to Park City while the girls played with the Berbert boys.
Blue and her "bestie" (their term) at the Disney Days downtown
Carli and her counterpart with their milk mustaches. Such milkaholics!

Silly big sister!
Our annual Jordanelle trip with our friends- love the camping, water and boating!
Blue loved the water- especially with one of her favorite people!
Carli will be in on the water fun next year, but pretty much stuck to shade-bathing this year
Carli was trying to "help" feed herself a little too much...
I love the pics of my sleeping kids

Blue insists on wearing a nightgown every time she sleeps- even for naps. She would live in a nightgown if I would let her. Maybe she comes by it honestly? She has a certain great-grandmother that would only have mu'u mu'us in her closet if she could...
Carli looks a bit dramatic- but only in her sleep
Blue was painting her baby dolls toes- luckily she only had access to lotion and had to use her imagination for the rest!
When Papa was here visiting we went to the zoo- it was fun but Blue was scared of the dinosaurs.

Papa had to help her get the hang of it
and then she was a pro
I couldn't believe she was brave enough to peek up the hole to see the animals
Wore her out.
(And because I think Gigi will ask- Carli was there too of course- but she was mostly stuck in the stroller and therefore gypped on the photo-ops)
Getting ready to swim at the rec center
Swinging and picking vegetables from our garden with Papa
Mark took a picture while we were out shelling peas.

Papa couldn't believe how many Blue ate. My bowl never filled up because she kept eating them! Who can blame her? Fresh (and home-grown) peas are fantastic.

She was a little anxious for Papa to finish his shower and come play with her :)
And Carli- doing what she does best at this age- eating and making a mess simultaneously. She is a fantastic multi-tasker.
I love that face- fascinated and enthralled- just by the musical toy in front of her
Mark spent a lot of time in the garden this summer too
Cousins playing at Max's birthday party- A summer birthday rocks! At least I know Blue thought so!
Messy face, but cute girly. She sure does love some cake!
Blue and Savvy at the top of the slide- they always waited and wanted to go together.
Our little family at Kassi's blessing
I sure do love snuggling my sleeping babe

Carli loves watermelon. Her favorite is when I just put chunks on her high chair tray and just let her have at it! She squeezes some to let juice run down her arms and puts huge chunks in her mouth until she looks like a chipmunk
I am not sure what this face was. She also took out her pigtails so the devil horn hair really adds something to it.

My pretty princess

Blue loves to shop at Smiths because they have the small grocery carts. She is a great helper- and it is worth the bruised ankles to let her push her own cart :)

Carli's version of helping in the kitchen (although now that she is 9 months old and not in the bumbo it is a different story- she is banned from the counters- she would just grab everything!)
My little chunky monkey. And with a motorcycle onsie too

We enjoyed a lot of popsicles on the patio steps this summer- Carli even got a couple of tastes
The Pidcock family 4th party- Blue loves to play with her cousin (and apparently her cousin's hair too!)
I am so glad they play together so well even though there is 2 years between them.
My little one :) Or baldy as we occasionally call her
(lovingly that is...)
This is our family at the 4th of July parade. It was so much fun and I loved all the music playing from floats and by the bands.
Blue loved the music too- she got as close as she could and when she was not frozen and mesmerized she was dancing!

Our neighborhood 4th party fireworks- we loved it!
