Carli SMILES :)

You know the first time a baby looks at you (I mean really looks at you) and smiles? One of the best things in the world right? Well I worked hard for the pictures below. Typically when I bring out the camera she is too busy concentrating on that big black equipment in her face to give me a smile. But occasionally... I can get one of these little gems:

Papa came for Carli's blessing and Blue loved that he would build blocks with her

So stinkin cute- I forget when Blue's eyes turned... I think we will have another brown-eyed girl. The blue is getting to be a darker greyish

I love when they start putting on the fat and get chunky legs. Both her and Blue gained exactly 4 lbs between birth and the 2 month checkup. Blue grew 4 inches, and Carli grew about 2.5 inches. My little chunky monkey!

Blue has been trying to dress and undress herself more lately, and has loved practicing with some of her new outfits for summer.

Once again Blue is right beside Carli. "Sister" doesn't get a moment of peace with Blue around!

She is now officially sleeping in the "Fancy Nancy" bedroom. We are loving having the girls both sleeping in the same room

Blue loves that I let her "hold" Carli all by herself now. She is always asking to hold sister- but I have to stay close...when she is done, she is done! When she is ready to move on she either pushes her off or starts to stand up or even grabs her head and shoves it toward me. I don't think she means to be rough, she is just done!

I was holding Carli on my knees and talking to her and Blue had to come sneak in between us and talk to Carli louder than me. Always wants to be the center of attention? Nah.

Playing on the stairs. Don't ask me. It is a new thing with her and her dad.

Blessing day

Today we blessed our beautiful little Carli at church. She is such a sweet and content little baby. I have so enjoyed having her join our family. Mark gave her a wonderful blessing and we were so glad to have our family there with us today. Thank you to everyone for joining us in this celebration and all the help and support you give us.

This is what Blue did when Dad asked to to smile- not exactly my idea of a smile, but she has a mind of her own.

So I had to squeeze...

Changing her baby's diaper all by herself! The straps are velcroed to the baby's body and the diaper is hanging down the back- not very effective, but she is trying!

Blue likes to share Carli's toys now. If I put Carli down to play- Blue is there!

I was cooking ground beef one day, so Blue had to also. She took some pretzels and proceeded to chop them just like mom. It was so cute and she even ate the crumbs she chopped.
