Food Storage and Welfare Square Cannery

Well, here we are with our humble beginings of a food storage. Our Prophet and the Stake are counseling us repeatedly about having a 3 month supply of daily food and a year supply of the basics. We finally had the opportunity to go to the Cannery at Welfare Square to get some supplies. What a wonderful opportunity that was. This experience gave me a strong testimony of the truthfulness of this church and the law of consecration. Just as Nephi said many years ago--he would go and do because the Lord would provide a way to accomplish. The Lord has asked us, through his Prophets, to have a food storage and he has provided a way that is a top of the line operation to accomplish what he has asked. Not only did we pack food for oursleves, we also packed for the shelf which others could pick from later.

More summer pics

I think Mark did a great job in getting our blog started- thanks BABE! But I have to admit, I think the best thing about a blog is pictures! AND, we have had the chance to do a lot of fun things this summer, so I took the liberty to post some older summer pics...

One of our more recent rides- just the two of us up Hobble Creek canyon. We fell asleep listening to the youth group singing in the campsite next to us :)

The "Wild Hogs" stopping at my new favorite tot provider on the way back from Dinosaur Nat'l Park (although not my favorite Nat'l Park). Seriously they had the best tots and fry sauce ever!

Memorial Day weekend Mark, Mark Roylance and I went to Zion's and Bryce Nat'l Parks. Hiking the Narrows was fun!

For being May- it was a bit chilly!

Another of our "Preparatory rides" (in anticipation of the HUGE, butt numbing ride for our anniversary). This was taken in Lehman's cave-Great Basin National Park. Really cool and fun place to see-
(I recommend it if you have a Nat'l Parks pass and are dying to see Delta)

We rode to the peak at Great Basin- it was 80 degrees at the bottom and like 50 at the top!
This is just us at a Blaze game- I thought we looked like a smokin' hot couple, but really didn't think you would scroll this far down...
