Keeping watch.

So I'm sat here, "keeping watch" over her, and can but remember the countless nights where she'd try and shoo me off to sleep (and check on me every few hours), whilst I'd waste them away on the computer... I guess there is comfort, somehow, in knowing I can sort of do the same for her, for at least a few nights.

Dinner.

You know you have great guests when you don't feel that bad even though you've spilt a whole bag of cous cous on the kitchen counter, you spill the salad dressing in the fridge (and cut your finger on the food processor blade whilst making a new one), have to reuse the starter plate/bowl thingies because you hadn't thought through your entire "menu" (laksa doesn't go on plates, obviously) and forget to serve an entire roast chicken (which on hindsight doesn't go with laksa anyway). Oh and run out of time to put a proper glaze onto the cheesecake so it basically looks like chocolate gloop on biscuit crumbs.

And I've discovered that a vacuum cleaner can be very useful indeed.

Avengers.

So at the end of the film there was silence, dead silence. It was as if we were all collectively mourning.
An end of several movie arcs, a rollercoaster ride of emotions, a fine movie, indeed.
