SANTA MONICA PARISH CHURCH, Tondo, Manila, Philippines

The Parish Church of Santa Monica in Tondo, Manila is located at Dagupan Street formerly known as Calle Santa Monica. It is vert near the Tutuban PNR Station and Divisoria Proper.

In the early days, Santa Monica was just a small chapel under the jurisdiction of Santo Niño de Tondo Parish Church. In the subsequent years, in an effort by the Archdiocese of Manila to sub-divide big parishes in order to give more attention to the spiritual needs of the people, Santa Monica was transferred under the jurisdiction of the then newly-built parish, Immaculate Conception in Tayuman.  But due to the growing number of parishioners, Santa Monica was later on declared as a separate Parish Church.
