Will - Month 2

You are more alert and sleeping less during the day. At six weeks of age you start to smile and laugh when you are talked to. You also started to sleep through the night at six weeks - a big YEA!!! You have noticed and are intrigued by yourself in the mirror of your swing. You LOVE hanging in your napping and hanging out in your swing. You absolutely CANNOT stand "tummy time" (so I never make you do it)! And you love being on the go with mommy! You are such a special gift from God and we just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE you!!!

'Tis the Season!

Here's a quick photo recap of the Christmas this year. We were extremely busy going from party to party (a total of 8). However, it was a ton of fun toting Mr. Man around to see family and friends.

Just hangin' with momma in bed...such a happy boy!

A surprise visit from Santa at Grandma Miller's! Will was not having it!

O' Christmas Tree, O' Christmas Tree!

The day after Thanksgiving, we went to pick out our very first family Christmas tree at the Red Barn in Morton. Okay, Okay...so we kind of cheated and didn't actually walk all over creation looking for the perfect one to cut down - we just pretty much picked it out of a parking lot. I'm sure that in a few years we will be doing it the old fashioned way. As for now, we'll stick to the Red Barn. Anyway, here are a few photos from your big adventure.

You are so very excited...as you can tell!

The perfect tree - again, you are ecstatic!

Will - Month 1

Mr. Man. This is just one of many nicknames that you have. Your daddy started calling you that when you were just a couple days old and that's what you are...our Mr. Man! You already seem to have quite the little personality. You are such a good baby and are making this way too easy on us! With exception to the first night we brought you home, you wake up one to two times per night (but mainly only once). You can already hold your head up pretty good too. In fact, at two weeks of age, the doctor said that you act like a six week old. You like your baths in your bath tub and love swinging in your swing! You are such a good boy and you go out to eat with us all the time - and never say a peep! We love you more than we could have ever imagined and can't wait to see more of your personality as you grow.

Here are a few more pics from your first month...

Happy Halloween to the cutest little owl!

I'm a Hawkeye!

This one goes out to Aunt Kristin! Kristin, who went to the University of Iowa and is a DIE HARD Hawkeye fan, has stocked Will up with a year's worth of Hawkeye gear. Here he is just one week old watching his first Iowa game.

Daddy: Get saving! Kristin already taught Will the fight song! ;)

God's Will

October 15, 2010, God blessed us with a beautiful and healthy baby boy, William Lynn Pflederer!

After four hours of pretty strong and regular contractions, we decided to go to the hospital at 2 a.m.

Here I am getting ready to go to the hospital. This is an awful pic of me, but just looking at it reminds me of how I felt at the time. I was soooo tired and was just wishing that the contractions would ease up a little bit soI could get a good nights sleep and go to the hospital nice and refreshed the next day. My wish did not come true...

One more belly shot before we leave!

When we got to the hospital, I was dialated to a 5. I was finally admitted, in my room and got my IV a little after 4 a.m. We then called our parents to tell them the exciting news! At 7 a.m., they broke my water and around 9 a.m. I got my epideral and started pitocin. My doctor thought I'd have a baby by noon, but by noon, I was only dialated to a 6.

Here's Jeff trying to catch up on his sleep, since neither of us had really slept in over 24 hours. The funny thing about this picture is that there was a room full of our family talking and the TV was on and Jeff just slept through all of it!

Waiting, waiting and waiting for baby Pflederer to come! I am soooo tired, but cannot sleep!

We're still waiting...

At 3:20 p.m., I was finally dialated to a 10 and ready to start pushing! I remember the nurse telling us that often, for first time deliveries it can take any where from 2 to 4 hours of pushing before you actually deliver. I was like "Yeah, right! No one I know, has ever pushed that long! I'll have a baby in like 20 minutes!" Boy, was I wrong! I pushed for 3 1/2 hours! I thought the baby was never going to come out! But of course, he did!

William Lynn Pflederer was born at 6:56 p.m. on Friday, October 15, 2010 weighing in at a staggering 8 lbs 5 1/2 oz and 20 inches long.

Going home!

First car ride

Ready or not, it's time for us to go home and do this on our own!

Will - We love you so much! You are so special to us and we can't wait to see what God has in store for you. You are such a good baby and already have your own personality. You are growing up way too fast, but we are enjoying every minute of it!
