Almost 1!!!

I know, I am horrible, no posts in forever!! Jaxson is walking, now crawling (did it backwards) and getting into everything he shouldn't be. He is in the fireplace right now and getting in trouble by daddy. Oh, and he is also banging two balls together as he circles the living room. He loves to open anything with a knob or a handle. Loves the bathroom because there are all kinds of things in there. He also loves tupperware. Hillarious! How adorable!!! Love him dearly. He had some milk today for the first time. He says dada, mama, bubba and wow. Other than that, just babbles. We are about to turn 1!!!! I cannot believe it. Last year at this time I was stuck on bedrest, oh I miss that:) Not really, wouldn't change anything for the world!. Well, I know this is short and sweet, but I will try to do a little better in the future. No promises.

He will reach as far as possible to grab something without crawling. He has only crawled for Pam, and she said he went backwards!! I am trying to get him to do it for us, but so far no luck.

This was a crazy weekend to say the least. We went to Abilene for Amy's graduation. CONGRATULATIONS AMY!!!!! We came back Saturday for a birthday party for Landon, he turned one. Happy Birthday Landon. Sunday Jaxson was dedicated at church. It made for the perfect Mother's Day. My family was all there, well, my grandparents couldn't make it because they had my cousin's family there because Amanda got married. Congratulations Amanda and Wesley!!!

Needless to say, this year 's Mother's Day was extra special. I have a whole new perspective of the day. I appreciate my mom so much more and all she has done for me!! Matt, Traci and Owen came in for Jaxson's baby dedication so it was special to have them there for her first Mother's day as well. I didn't get breakfast in bed or anything like that, but just having Jaxson, Scott and my family there was perfect!! Dedicating Jaxson at church was icing on the cake. I cannot imagine my life not being a momma. It is definitely the hardest thing I have ever done before, but it is also the most rewarding thing I have ever done. That little grin and laugh always make me smile. Waking up to Jaxson talking in his crib or laughing at the mobile is the best thing to hear in the mornings. Knowing that I am the one feeding him when he is hungry is an amazing feeling. Seeing him reach for me when he wants me makes my heart leap. Just knowing that it is Scott and me that this little creation depends on is absolutely wonderful!! He is such a blessing, and we thank God each and every day for him. Happy Mother's Day to all of you wonderful women in the world who have taken on the challenge of motherhood!!! I hope you all had a blessed day with many more to come!

Oh, and one more thing added to the day, Jaxson got his second tooth!!! It was not a fun night, but it is amazing watching him grow. We love you Jaxson!!

7 months old!!! Look at those wrists. We have a friend that said they are "baby doll wrists" it looks like someone just screwed them on. I call them rubberband wrists:) I love it!

Jaxson's favorite toy. I had to throw that one away and found another one just like it. He loves to chew on the tag, tail and trunk of that elephant. It was pretty stinky so I had to make the decision to get rid of it:)

Happy springtime!! I love this time of year (except for allergies)! The weather is beautiful, not too hot and not too cold. We took Jaxson and had some pictures made a few weeks ago, and they are wonderful, thank you Todd! He did really well, and I was a little nervous because we woke him up from his nap to take them. Let me tell you though, when he was done, he definitely let us know. We had a wonderful Easter. I didn't get a picture of Jaxson in his outfit before he spit up on it, but I did get a picture of him in his second outfit:) Scott and I also had a great anniversary earlier this month. I spent my first night away from Jaxson and did really well, I think so anyway. Jaxson got to stay with his MeeMaw, Amy and Taylar. Jaxson and Taylar got to take a bath together, and I wish I had a picture of it to share with you, but I don't. Last week, Jaxson and I went home while Scott was in Arizona. Jaxson cut his first tooth while we were there!!! Lucky me, I got to experience the fussiness by myself:) I haven't taken a picture of it because you can't see it very well with a camera, but let me tell you, you can feel it!! He likes to pull hair and necklaces now as well. Oh, and he laughs when I tell him, "no" when he pulls my hair! I am so in for it. We got out the booster seat so Jaxson has graduated to that. He no longer sits in the bumbo seat. He likes to bang on the tray of the booster seat. No crawling yet, but he does roll places now. He loves to laugh at people, especially when they jump up and down. Poor thing also has allergies that are acting up right now so we are fighting with the runny nose that he hates to get cleaned. We are enjoying him so much, and I can't believe how much he has grown!! Time really does fly by. We are so blessed to have him in our lives, and I can't imagine life without him.
Jaxson got to go to his first baseball game last night. We went to watch Scott's cousin play, and Jaxson loved it, he stayed awake the entire time!! He did not go to bed until 10. I thought he might sleep in to make up for it, but no. Oh well.

Where Has the Time Gone?

We had some friends come over for dinner, and Jude has on the same shirt as Jaxson, well, Jude's said "My Daddy Rocks" and Jaxson's said "My Mommy Rocks." Of course, we had to get a picture of it.

We gave Jaxson a bottle one night while we were eating dinner. He sat there the entire time and drank the whole bottle by himself!!

After all that talking, Jaxson fell asleep at the end of the ceremony. Yes, he fell asleep with his head straight up!

Yeah, I was finally able to get my pictures downloaded off my camera!!! My how time has flown by! I have to say Jaxson is so much fun and so amazing to watch. He is discovering something new every day, and his little personality is coming out more and more. He is absolutely hillarious and adorable. He is also rather chunky:) I love it!! I had to take him to the doctor the other day (he is now 17 pounds by the way), and there was a little boy that asked his Nana what was wrong with Jaxson's knees. The thing with Jaxson's knees is that well, they don't really exist, there is just a fat roll where his knee cap should be. It is so cute, and that grandma was so embarrassed. All I could do was laugh because I thought it was funny and innocent. Jaxson is now sitting up on his own, still not rolling over from his back to tummy. He does roll from his tummy to back so tummytime really doesn't happen much anymore unless he wants it because he will just roll over if I put him on his belly. He falls forward when he sits up and then rolls. He will sit up on his own when he is laying in our arms (his new way of fighting sleep). He has loved every fruit and vegetable we have given him. He isn't too crazy about green beans though, but he will eat them. We got him a new tub (the duck in the pictures), and he loves it!! He really likes to splash in it and laugh. He now loves to grab hair too. He grabbed the little girl's hair at day care, and I told him little girls don't like that. He usually laughs at me when I tell him no as he is grabbing my hair. I am already paying for my raising:) Jaxson likes to give us kisses when we get home from work, and it is wonderful!!! He gets a huge smile on his face after he does it. About a month ago we went to a wedding, and Jaxson did so well. Every time there was a song, he thought he had to sing along. We were at the back and my parents were at the front, and they could hear him. He just wanted to let them know he made it:)

Jaxson loves the jogging stroller. He usually falls asleep in it. Amazingly he doesn't mind when we put sunglasses on him. He just sits there and doesn't mess with them. Hats on the other hand, not so much his thing. He will let us put on a taboggon (not sure how to spell that one) on his head though.
