CHRISTMAS DAY 2013

Here are some random pictures of Christmas Day.  Santa brought Riley a fish tank so Adam helped him set it up and then took him to the pet store to buy some fish.  Momma Lynn made the boys each a quilt for there beds and the boys all got clothes.  But of course with 3 little boys and 4 big boys in a family we find fake poo hilarious as you can see.

Our Traditional Christmas eve party was held again this year.  We started off the evening with a delicious ham dinner, followed by the ever popular Christmas Bingo Game.  Riley won the "dreaded paisley" shirt this year.  Some other great gifts included the Gorilla hand and the Doodly head game which consisted of throwing poo at each other and getting it to stick to your head.  Especially coveted  this year were Rachel 5th grade glasses that miraculously resurfaced after all these years.  After the great game, we then had a program with Riley playing the piano, Adam doing a cool trick, Heather reading a story and then we all sang Christmas carols and read the Christmas Story.  Life is good.

After his third helping of dinner tonight he looks at me an says "what? I'm just trying to make sure I won't be hungry tomorrow morning!"

He must be going through a growth spurt.

FAMILY VACATION 2012

This year for our family vacation we took everyone to Disneyland.  We left early Sunday morning and drove down.  Other than a stop for gas and pee breaks we only stopped in Vegas where Rachel treated us to breakfast at Serendipities at Caesars Palace.  Then it was on to California where we had rented a house for the week just a block behind Disneyland.

Monday -  Off to Legoland we went.  The forecast was for rain this day but miraculously the sun came out and the day was wonderful.

Tuesday -  Nothing beats a day at Disneyland.  It is indeed the happiest place on earth.  We spent the day riding the rides to our hearts content.  The crowds weren't too bad and we were able to walk on to most rides with only a short wait and the weather was perfect. 

Wednesday - This was our day at the beach.  The boys had a blast playing in the waves.  Casey & Reed threw the football around, Grandma made a sand castle, the boys made a sand fort and Rachel turned into a mermaid. 

Thursday - This was our day to spend at California Adventure.  Riley and Zac loved the Tower Of Terror and because there were no lines they rode it about 100 times.  Grandma loves "Soaring over California" and Austin liked "Roaring Rapids" so we rode that one several times too.  We topped the day off with the Parade and the water show.

Friday - This was our down day.  We just hung out at the house and relaxed.  The boys played the wii and a little pool.  We ate & ate and of course hung out in the pool and the hot tub.

Saturday - This was our day to go back to Disneyland and ride what ever we missed or wanted to try again. This day was topped off with the fireworks and the show "Fantasmic"  All too soon the vacation was over and Sunday we had to get up and head for home.
