Riley-ism

As we are decorating for his birthday party...
Riley: do you like my brainstorm on how to decorate?
Me: Yes. You have great ideas.
Riley: That's my brain. It's stormy with ideas.

Riley's Birthday

The leprechauns came to our house to help wish Riley a happy birthday and I just wanted to share a picture I took of what they left behind. And just for my own fun, here is a picture of when he was 1 week old and fresh out of the suitcase.. (he had jaundice really bad and had to be in a suitcase looking thing with special lights for a few days. We didn't actually keep him in a real suitcase.)

Here he is 2 days after his first birthday when we went to visit Aunt Rachel in North Carolina...

Here he is at 2 years old right after we took his birthday pictures...

His birthday at 3... Which included the "oh so easy put it together yourself in 4 hours but in actuality 2 weekends" swingset...
His 4th birthday where the best picture I could find loaded on my computer was him sleeping in the car after a big birthday of fun.Don't believe me? Ok, take a look at this... Blurry blurry blurry. But you can see the message from the leprechauns from that year.

Here he is getting breakfast on his 5th birthday. That year the leprechauns made our pancakes turn GREEN! Along with our milk and they left their special message on a plate for Riley this year.

And here is a picture of him on his birthday last year being swamped by the kids at his birthday party as he opened his presents. Sigh. He has grown up so fast.

I love you my little man! Happy Birthday!

Spring is in the air...

Riley is helping dad clean out his car. Nothing like spring in the air to make you feel like you want to clean everything.

Another great Saturday.

Here is a picture of the finished costume of the star bellied sneetch. Riley got an award at school for his great costume. He picked the book the Iron Giant.

Today Riley and I went to Home Depot where he made a race car. When we got home I asked him what he wanted to do now. He said "Oh, lets just rot our brains out watching a little TV. So we did...........

This is apparently what a rotted brain looks like as he watches TV

His awsome race car he made at home depot!

Getting ready for Dr Suess week

Here is Momma Lynn making Riley a star-bellied sneetch costume for 'dress like a Dr. Suess character' in school tomorrow. She didn't want to be in the picture. Shhh... Don't tell her.
